The hardest part of writing science fiction is knowing actual science. The same applies for me and realistic fiction.

All in all, that is over 157,000 words! That's three NaNo Novels! I think that deserves a huge congratulations to all of you.

As we get closer to the ten week mark, where the first LSS ended, I figured it would be right to tell you all that there will not be a Tsunami-type event at the ten week mark. I'll explain my decision below:

Spoiler
By the time LSS Round I was approaching ten weeks, there were a total of three teams that were competing week by week, for at least a month at that point. Major winter holidays were right around the corner, which would cut off many people's time to write so the competition would end either way. Tsunami was a decision to give the three teams a way to end in an all out competition before the holidays to give each team a fair, fighting chance. They had all made it much further than any other team, so either way they would win. However, this time around the amount of teams that have made it to this point has doubled. So, six teams are still in the competition.

Also, each of the three roleplays that participated in LSS Tsunami did continue to write past the competition. It was clear that the stories weren't finished, and their writers were still itching to write. At this point, many of our stories have just started. Ending it at ten weeks when there's still so many stories just begging to be written would be an injustice to those stories and their writers.

I understand that perhaps some of us were under the impression of a Tsunami at ten weeks, and it may be disappointing or discouraging to those still writing if they were expecting an end in sight, and I truly empathize! However, this round of competition is still going strong, and LSS is an endurance competition at heart, not a sprint.

That being said, I do have a set end date in mind. For right now, I do not plan on announcing it publicly, but if the competition continues to coming near that point, I will announce it.

With that being said, I do want to continue the weekly Write ins! So, from now on, we will have an LSS Write in every Thursday. I'll share the time when it gets closer to that day.
