YWS Birthday Cake 2018

Birthday week has officially begun! For the next week, you can look for special events to celebrate YWS's 14th Birthday.

In honor of YWS's Cake Day, the moderators have been busy cooking up some cake in the YWS Kitchens. And the good news is, we want to share!

If you'd like the YWS Cake Badge, it can be yours!

Just post in the thread below, your birthday wishes to YWS (feel free to leave a note about what you like about YWS, or any fond memories of the site) and then we'll make sure to send the Cake Badge your way at the end of the week!

Oh and cake is always better with friends, so if you'd like to share the Cake Badge with some of your friends, all you have to do is tag them in this post with the "@" sign. (Limit to 5 tags please)

Our ovens can only bake so much cake though, so one Badge per user, but if you're tagged, you can feel free to wish YWS a Happy Birthday and tag some people to share the cake with too!

You have until the end of Birthday Week (November 14) to get your birthday greetings in.

Happy birthday YWS! There will eventually be a super sentimental post about how much this site means to me, but for now suffice to say that this site has helped me find who I am. Happy birthday to one of my addictions, YWS! I created my account right before my freshman year of high school, so I can't imagine what things would have been like without this constant in my life. I'm really thankful for the site because I believe it's really helped me immensely improve as a writer as well as allowing me to meet some amazing people.

Happy birthday, Young Writers Society! I can honestly say that I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for this site. It's further kindled my love of writing, and helped me become a far better writer - and person - than I was when I first joined my freshman year of high school. Past the writing and shenanigans, I'm thankful for the community YWS has provided. Thanks to my amazingly talented and wonderful friends, I've been able to get through things in my life that I doubt I could have handled without people there to support me along the way.
