The Reader

In Miscellaneus

Swimming through adventure
submerged in the story
not caring
what goes on above

Whom speaks to them
the reader ignores politely
and waits
for the chapter to end

Once the sentance finishes
the reader comes up
to breathe
and dry off
before they dive
into the book again

Their hands are adapted
to turning the pages
churning the water
while keeping it still
the reader soaks it all in
and never
wrings
themselves out

This is a nice concept.
I noticed a spelling error (sentance, instead of sentence) but besides that, it's very nice. I do like the vocabulary usage, and I particularly like the concept of swimming with the concept of reading. This whole poem is a giant metaphor! Splendid.
Remind me to review some of your other works when I get a chance.

Hehe :#)
I'm not a huge spelling freak so I make mistakes alot ....

Hi, Traveler! This is Shooting Stars here to review! Okey dokey I really like the concept and the way you tied in the water parts with the actual reading lines. Great job turning a simple idea into an interesting, complex poem. Just a few suggestions, though.
I didn't find many spelling errors except for this one:
"Once the sentance finishes..."
I think you meant to write, "sentence." This was a minor mistake, but keep it in mind.
Also, try the use of punctuation to smooth it out and clean the poem up a little. It's amazing what the power of commas and periods can do!
The only thing I didn't understand was when you said, "...for the chapter to end. Once the sentence finishes..." Why did you say "chapter to end" then the "sentence to end"? Maybe it only sounds odd to me, but you're the writer so change what you will.
Overall this was a very enjoyable piece to read! You did a great job with it so keep going with everything you do! Hope this helped.

Thanks a ton, I guess that is a bit confusing... what with the chapter/sentance thing... but thank you for noticing and telling me about it, your opinion is very helpful. Thanks again!
