Aesthetically Challenged

You're a scarlet moon on fire,
my heart of heart of heart's desire.
Daydreams dawning on me slowly,
lighting up my face, eyes glowing.

Your radiance, perpetual though it may be
has moved through, been absorbed by me.
Your scarlet heart is bloody with disdain,
for the eyes whose prize was lost in vain.

Scarlet, you're daunted by blinding beauty.
Wolf whistles, cat calls, haunt your duties.
Scandalized by those who can't see past your face,
hopes of ever being more than a score erased.

Very well written. Beautiful thought. Nicely expressed. There is nothing that I do not Love about this poem, especially the line, "Daydreams dawning on me slowly, Lightning up my face, eyes glowing." This line is my absolute favorite in all the poem. Great, great work lyssiekins!

I really like this poem. I love the rhyming and word choice. I just have one correction for you:
"You're radiance," - when you take out the conjugation it says "You are radiance". I don't know if that's how you meant it, but given the rest of the line I think not. It should be "Your radiance". Same for "You're scarlet heart".

I absolutely love this poem!

This poem uses so many "dark" types of words. This should usually make the poem drastic or gloomy, but the words made the poem very beautiful in my opinion.

I just wish I knew who you were talking to in this poem. And the fact that you talking to someone in it makes it very well written and organized.

I hope to see more work from you in the future!

I don't really know the person. I guess I just needed to give someone sympathy, a girl who wants people to know there is more to her than what is seen :) Thanks
