Rainstorm

Verse 1

Soft noise outside of the house

and I

hear it all.

Droplets breaking on the ground

I hear the endless drip

of their fall.

Taking no hesitation

shooting to their death

and although they aren't alive

they take their final breath.

Pre-chorus

You hear the crashing

of thunder in the air

and it frightens you deep inside

but you cover up your fear.

Chorus

So don't mind the rain

or the thunder

or the flash,

you're safe inside your shelter now

don't hide from the thunder's crash.

You know it won't hurt you here

but you still need to run

I'm telling you,

you don't have to

'cause soon there'll be the sun.

Verse 2

Standing up straight from your bed

flinging open

the door

feeling the rain on your skin

you're not afraid anymore.

Taking in the lightning flash

lighting up the sky

you know the rainstorm is bad

but you lift off

and fly.

Pre-chorus

You hear the crashing

of thunder in the air

and it frightens you deep inside

but you cover up your fear.

Chorus

So don't mind the rain

or the thunder

or the flash,

you're safe inside your shelter now

don't hide from the thunder's crash.

You know it won't hurt you here

but you still need to run

I'm telling you,

you don't have to

'cause soon there'll be the sun.

You know it won't hurt you here

but you still need to run

I'm telling you,

you don't have to

'cause soon there'll be the sun.

Hello :) I really liked these lyrics and I enjoyed reading through it and I may or may have not created my own beat to it (I'm pretty sure it sounds way more bleak than the way you intended it to come across) :p You took a overdone topic of the whole 'it will get better', now I'm not criticising the message itself but it has been done waaaaay too many times, and made it original. Overall, I did have fun creating my own little song from your beautifully written lyrics and thank you for sharing it. :)

Hello there, I am a big fan of lyric writing, so please bear in mind that is I seem overly critical I am merely over enthusiastic. The first verse appears to have a few flaws, so I shall take this line by line.
"Soft noise outside of the house"
Using the word soft to describe rainfall noises sounds cliched, and although it is generally fine, I think that some other description would be better, considering it's the first line and all.
"and I// hear it all."
I think these two lines should definitely be contracted, I'm sorry if this is some sort of clever device, but it is simply difficult to read. It puts an audible space where there should be none.
"Droplets breaking on the ground"
Here I dislike the change from "I hear" to "[are] breaking", that is, I think you should write "Droplets break on the ground." Also, change "ground" to a specific material, like mud or tarmac, in order to increase atmosphere.
"I hear the endless drip//of their fall."
Repetition of the idea of hearing, also I would give you the same advice I gave earlier, and say you should join these two lines.
of their fall.
"Taking no hesitation"
Fine.
"shooting to their death"
This would be more effective if you removed the personal pronoun. Always remove unnecessary words.
"and although they aren't alive"
This seems to me to be a very long way of saying "lifeless."
"they take their final breath."
Very nice personification here.
You don't really seem to have any real flaws save those in the first verse, so I shall leave it at that. Overall a 7/10,

A way of getting someone over a thunderstorm? I can already hear the guitars or even the violin or pianos playing this song. It's cute and simple and not about what the usual songs are about like the love going wrong or loving a friend or parents fighting. It's simply about the rain. And the rain could possibly be in another sort of scenario, or you are truly talking about a nice thunderstorm. I would say this would be a cute way of getting a small child over the fear of the thunderstorms rather than telling them "It's the angels bowling." Parents never seem to tell their children that the sun will soon be out, and this song seems to do just that. Have you ever thought of actually singing this to a sibling or baby cousin? I, personally, would think it's a good idea. Telling them there is nothing to be afraid of. It's really good!
