Another Dead Man Walking

Dead men walking

down the road at twilight

without a care in the world

or a sound

Beliefs seem to falter

what others say matters

the footprints trailing behind don't match their own

They speak with the same voice

they have the same mind

yet they once had the chance to be different

Soon she will be one of them

as will he and his friend as well

Unified minds alike

Another dead man walking

Wow, this is an interesting poem! I wasn't sure what it was supposed to be about at first, bit I finally grasped it at the end. In my poems, I usually like to rhyme the words. However, this seemed to fit ok actually. You meter was pretty good throughout. It seemed pretty meaningful to you also! That's key in poetry! I'd love to see more of your poems! I'm always looking for ideas if you have any, feel free to ask my for ideas too if you need any! Keep writing!

This poem is wonderful, it makes sense to me. Maybe it is just the whole remembrance day thing that is going on in my country but it makes me think of soldiers that have returned from war. They are like dead men walking because of all the horrors they have seen. Its probably not what we are going for but its what it made me think of. Keep up the good work!

That was really deep and nice to read. I really enjoyed it!
Some suggestions -

or a sound
I feel like you should elaborate on this line, or get rid of it. Right now it just seems like it's kind of there.

what others say matters
Change 'matters' to 'matter.'

the footprints trailing behind don't match their own
I would break this up into two separate lines.

yet they once had the chance to be different
This is just my opinion - I would make 'yet they once had the chance' and 'to be different' separate lines. I feel like it would give more emphasis on each part. I think that would be better, because I feel like those two things are important to the poem. If you don't think so, it's also fine how it is.

as will he and his friend as well
Take out the 'as well' at the end. Since you say it at the beginning, it becomes repetitive.

And lastly, I would be sure to add periods at the end, as it will help the flow.
Overall, I really enjoyed the poem. It resonated true with me. The lines are really easy to relate to, and have truth to them, which I think is awesome.
Keep writing!!

I love this piece of poem that you made. Amazing! It sounded great in my mind and also it made sense. I admire the fact that you have chosen the dead men as your topic of your poem. It entertained me and other audiences as well. In addition, I loved the used of your vocabulary words. Those vocabularies that you used were higher level, which was a great thing because that is exactly what I also looked for in a poem or any stories, for that matter. You did a great job. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much!

You are welcome..
