Twelve year old Lucy furrowed her brows as she sketched on a blank piece of paper, concentrating hard on her art. Her parents were driving her to the park, where she’d have even more time to draw and better scenery than the car.
All in all, Lucy couldn’t wait, for as she was spinning in her own world of art in her sketchbook and fuzzy pop music from the car’s speakers, her heart raced in excitement, for she was going to have time to herself that day, time alone in the car, time alone at the park, time to just be. It wasn’t loud or expressive joy, but it was still there and it still made her smile, and she couldn’t wait and-
The car seat suddenly slammed in front of her as her parents screamed and the glass on the front window shattered. Lucy watched the air bags bloom as the car seemed to merge with another car, the rain of glass on the ground colliding with the tires screeching on the street. It had happened so fast, too fast for her to comprehend, but as the blood rushed to her head, Lucy thought:
Our car must have crashed…am I going to die?

Hello, creeperfeverdreams! Happy Review Month! Valkyria here to leave a short review for your work. Let's get into it:
I'm unfamiliar with the "Bone Boy" series, so I am reading this as its own thing, and will be reviewing it as such. But the title is intriguing enough that I may read the other stories.
What a whirlwind of a story! Just goes to show that anything can happen in a blink of an eye and turn a fun day into a tragic event. I was really looking forward to seeing Lucy spend a good day at the park. She was so excited, then bam! You do a great job at describing the accident. I wonder if you can make the sentences even shorter and choppier to add to that feeling of it happening so fast. Still, it's nerve-wracking and terrifying. And I feel so bad for the family. Well done!
Thank you so much for your review!
Lucy: Bone boy by creeperfeverdreams
From the first part it talks about an artist who didn't find an inspiration to draw anything. Meanwhile, Lucy and her parents were on their way to the park and Lucy couldn't be happier. But she couldn't have know there would be an accident.
I love this first part, it really a good introductory read. I like the fact that Lucy is 12 and at that age draws really well to the point that she needed inspiration to draw something.
I love how detailed it is. This is a really good start.
I love this first part and would love to read the next one.
Well, I have much more extensive lore of her character under my folder %u201CBone Boy%u201D. Glad you enjoyed!
