A/N: This is a collection of eight short poems organized by the eight phases of the moon. hope you enjoy!
love
she wanted to believe in love.
love, this illusion that she
has become a familiar fool to.
love, this thing she wants
but does not know the name of.
a warning
she wants to tell you
that she is broken.
she wants to tell you
that she will make it
difficult for you to love
her but deep down,
she still wants you to try.
intertwined
our bodies intertwined,
tethering ourselves until
the air you breathe in was
the air I breathe out.
night sky
she held the night sky
in the palm of her hand.
every dying star,
every sleeping town,
collected in one handful
just for you.
she fell in love
she fell in love with an illusion:
too enraptured in its beauty to see that
it never loved her back.
when you had left
when you had left,
i stopped writing poetry.
perhaps i had mistaken
your love for writing prompts.
can i take it back?
i want nothing more than
to take back my words.
i passed each letter from
my mouth to yours until
the honey turned acrid.

I absolutely love, love, loooove each poem. The way you used the phases of the moon was extremely clever, and I understood and related to each one. 'intertwined' and 'can i take it back?' are my favorites, but every poem was so beautifully written, and so was the title. I'll definitely be reading more of your work. No criticism here, it's simply immaculate.
aa thank you so much! im glad you enjoyed it!
I think it's absolutely stunning, how you used the phases of the moon as a collection of poems. It adds a beautiful touch of elegance to the poems. Each short poem flows perfectly into the next poem and yet each is different in a new and exquisite way. The title is also perfectly fitting to the poems, and it drew me in and I wanted to hear more. I think you did a great job tieing together the moon and love. This is beautiful.
Thank you so much!!
I really liked this collection of poems and the way they are all little stories that fit together into a larger narrative. I really think the eight poems for eight phases of the moon idea was really cool too. The way the story develops from poem to poem and the way their idea of love changes is amazing too, how the character don't understand love, want it, fall in love, and then it all falls apart is beautiful. You did a great job of expressing these emotions, especially in the final poem, regret.
I also really liked the simple structure of the poems and how that helps them flow easily. The words just seem to fit together and the rhythm draws you from one line to the next.
Overall, I really enjoyed these and great job! ^-^
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it hehe
You did a really good job on the poems. I really liked how you did 8 for that 8 phases of the moon, that was really cool. Your poems were very simple with your use of words and syllables, which was really nice for a change. Your poems used great description and conveyed a lot of sadness and regret thought them.
One thing I have to say is that in the last poem last word you spelled acid wrong. You spelled it "acrid" when it should be acid.
My favorite stanza would have to be the last one:
"i want nothing more than
to take back my words.
i passed each letter from
my mouth to yours until
the honey turned acrid."
I guessing the person here is regretting something they said or did and are wishing they could take it back, or that it never happened.
Overall you did a really good job, I loved how simple your poems were, but they conveyed a lot in that short time. Can't wait to read what you write next.

Thank you so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed the moon phases concept hehe. For the misspelling, "acrid" is defined as having an unpleasant taste or smell
but thank you for the feedback nonetheless! <3
Okay, so these are all really simple, in the use of words, syllables, etc. I really, really like that, especially since not a lot of poetry is like this. A lot of these convey a lot of emotion, which I can only see to be a sort of melancholy, regretful tone even in the first poem. Or, maybe it's more of a longing sense that I'm getting from the first one.
My favorite was the last poem; it just..is so telling. Regret can often be a very powerful, sour emotion, though I did catch a mistake in the last lines: (sorry to nit-picky)
"i passed each letter from
my mouth to yours until
the honey turned acrid."
Is "acrid" supposed to be "acid"?
Otherwise than that, I LOVED the creativity you infused in this piece, modeling each of these poems after the phases of the moon. That's an interesting concept.
Er..I hope this helped you in some way?
Cheers!

Thank you for the review! All good for being nitpicky!! Haha it was actually intentional, "acrid" is defined as having an unpleasant taste or smell. But thank you so much for the input! <3
