Why do you smile?

In Poetry

Why do you smile?
When I cry
With pain, anguish,
Dejected by the pangs of separation.
Do you not see?
My endless suffering,
Crumpling on the face of life,
Grieved at being away from you
Do you not realize?
The void in my life
Which is your name
That you choose not to come back?
Or do you want to see me suffer?
Burn in pain, scarred,
Mourning bereft of what was mine
Or do you just want to close your eyes
And not look at me altogether?

Hey there, anirban. My name is Scarlett and I'll be reviewing your poetry this evening. ^^

Interesting poem you have here, and a very interesting choice of topic. Sadly, i don't like the way you've written it, at all. The idea is good, but the way it's been set out isn't. I would suggest reading it out loud to see if it sounds good and then fiddling with it if it doesn't. There's no real flow and I'm certain you could say so much more than you do here.

Okay, now I don't have anything more to say. It's good, but not the best, and with a few little fiddles, it'll be really good. Despite this, I do like it so far, and that's a good thing. Revise it and let me know. I'll be sure to come back and read it again! This is an interesting little poem. Thanks for the poetry! I hope this review helps, somehow. ^^

Remember; keep it up and never stop writing!
