Life

Trying to live life the way I like...
Yeah, I do lie.

My life's being wrecked for...

Oh so many times.
but mind you
I never ever give up.

I get back to my feet
and tell myself,
"Everything's just working fine
And it will be great in it's own time."

Hm. A definitely thought-provoking subject. I would have liked to see you expound on this even more, or leave an even greater impact in just as few words.

A few grammatical nitpicks, if you will:
'My life's being wrecked for...oh so many times"
do you mean 'been' rather than 'being' here? It would make more sense, or perhaps I'm reading it wrong.

"get back to your feet"
here, instead of 'to' I'd replace it with 'on'.

and in the last line, 'in it's own time'
it's plural here, so you don't use the apostrophe in 'its'

There's just some conventional things you could work on, as well as the overall content. I think this is a good idea and a good start to your poem!

Thanks for sharing!
Keep writing

Hey thanks for the grammatical corrections. I do need help on that. :D
The rest of the content will be kept.

This is short and sweet. Again, I like the honesty and forthcoming quality of the piece. Also, the lack of exposition does a good job of letting the reader put their own life into the space of the poem, which I think is good here. There are a lot of questions still though. It starts out like an indictment of your own life, and then shifts into being life advice. And the movement between them is a little dis-orienting. I'm kind of confused by lines 3 and 4. What does that mean? And why do you start talking to me afterward. I interpreted that shift a few different ways. Firstly, I though you were talking to me about yourself. Then, I thought you were talking to me about me. Now I'm not sure. Which is okay, but a little off-putting. It makes me wonder what the two really have to do with each other, and how you as the narrator really feel about your own life. Your use of enjambment to keep me guessing also aids to this. I love it, but I think you need to answer these questions, maybe not in the text, but in your own head, while you edit it, if you wish to do so. It has a lot of power in its ambiguity, which you should cling to like a madman because it's a wonderful tool :3

Jack here for a review :)

That was short and sweet, it was a very nice poem, and hate a lot of emotion. Though I felt you could have added so much more to it, and made it even better! Maybe a extra two stanza's telling us about what is happening, or why does this person feel so bad, and maybe some more explanation on how he becomes better, just a suggestion though.

I loved your first stanza, you couldn't have started it any better! The second bit was really could, though I thought you could have added an extra line after it, maybe something that wrecked his life, add some more information, because that never hurts, but just make sure you do it in a good way. Maybe something like, ( because of he/she its all over, I can never escape this) I like that, but its up to you what you do.

Oh so many times.
but mind you
never ever give up

I personally would redo this, I didn't feel right, it could have better wording and more descriptive ones at that. Just feel that it could have been done better, but it is still fairly good, though maybe make it a bit longer do.

I like the ending of this poem a lot, most poems end on a bad note, but this one was different it felt like a resolution, and that was really well done, and shows the talent you have got! but I think as I said before you could have added a lot more do it, tell us how he gets over it, how he gets back on his feet, it would add the nice touch to the poem and would make it that step better.

OVER ALL I really liked what you have here, it was nicely done, and it mostly had good word placing, it started well and ended well just though you might need to work on the middle of the poem, and improve it a bit, and this might make it into literary spotlight ;) so anyway great job, and I think you should have a go at writing a story, I think you would be great at, just a suggestion but you should give it a go for sure! so thumbs up!! you are a learning writer, like everyone. But you are already so good!
