Just a warning: You might not like or understand any or all of it. It is a crude take on, well, the ironies and cliches present today. Not very well written. Read at your own risk.
Oh, the ironies of life
Are too much for this weary soul:
Look you to the little ones,
Trying so very hard
To be ‘Just Like Mommy’
And then look you
To the dear, sweet Mommy,
Looking and acting twenty!
Look you to those
Who are late for meetings;
Everything that can go wrong
Will go wrong,
Then look you to the children
Riding in the school-bus:
They wish to be late,
But are always early!
Look you to those
Lovesick couples on the beach;
Why, only a few months ago,
They couldn’t stand each other!
And ask you to Life
Why it makes us fall in love
With those that we can’t stand
To be with or be without.
Look you to those
Who work so hard in life
But are always underdogs;
And then look you
To the Privileged in society,
And observe you closely
That they do next to nothing,
Yet amass such fortunes!
Look you to those
Who wish to escape certain persons:
But those persons will, always,
Follow them like puppies
Everywhere they go!
And at this point, need I add
That those they wish to meet
Chase away like butterflies?
It has always puzzled man
As to why, when he wants a thing,
Or when he wants to meet a person,
(And he wants it badly,)
It will never come to him:
And when he wishes it would go,
Or when they wish a person away,
It only stays with him longer!
Oh, the ironies of life!
Murphy made a Law for them;
But why do we need that law
When it takes place every day?
Why, we should rename it
And call it the Law of Life
Because it is no special law
But common observations.
Today today today..Dun dun dun! I never thought that there is someone who writes pieces same as my genre, although, I'm specifically more on the political side. Ah yeah...the ironies of life, they're quite visible aren't they? What I like about the poem is its rhyme and they way you wrote what you observed. The vocabs aren't deep which makes it easier for me to absorb in my ESL brain the whole message of the poem. I will not criticize the piece in grammar aspect since I don't have the rights to do so..I guess. Overall, I like it! Write more!

I have two completely conflicting opinions of this.
I love the idea, sooo much. I love the irony and the observation of it all. I wonder how long it must have taken you to think of each of these situations or whether it's just something you notice from day to day. If the latter then I think you have a great brain inside that head of yours.
As a piece of prose, with some characterisation of an narrator and a situation to prompt the observation then I would prefer it much more.
That said, some ideas are big and you have to think big in order to pull them off. The style of this as a poem doesn't really do it justice- there isn't really anything poetic about it. Poetry has rhythm, audible appeal, metaphors, imagery, expression and some degree of emotional depth and involvement. This doesn't.
The thinking is fantastic, remember that, I just think that it could be written in another medium apart from poetry.
