Did no one notice the unintentional space between But and the in the last stanza?

Oh well. I only just noticed it myself.
It's fixed now.
I KEEP ACCIDENTALLY POSTING MY REVIEW TWICE!
Hola! Emerald here for a review!

It's been a while since I've seen something based on writers block (At least I hope that this is based on that 0-0) I don't have any nitpicks either! YAY!
I usually don't enjoy poems that much, but I did enjoy this one. Lots of poems I see are really long and kind of get boring, but your poem is just the perfect size! I don't think anything in it should be changed at all.
My favorite lines are:
This Poet Tries
In a Fairy-Tale
World
Where Illusion
Is valued
Over Reality
Over Truth
Over Trying
Situations
These are my favorite because I LOVE how you describe a Fairy-Tale World, love it!
Well I guess that just about wraps it up, hope to see more from you soon!

+1 foll- Oh wait, i'm already followed xD
Hello! Teddybear here for a review.

I will start by saying that the word play was quite clever. I enjoyed it very much.
Now for the meat of it!
Good job capitalizing the first letter of every line. Most people tend to forget to do that part. I'm not sure if you want to use punctuation in this poem, but if you do, then you need to put the correct marks throughout. If not, then just remove the period after the last line.
I saw no spelling errors, so we can skip this part.
Onto the content!
I really like the idea you had behind this! Almost all writers have had writer's block at one point or another. The fantasy that writers create with their words is amazing! Whole languages have been created from these ideas.
Writers tend to twist words to their will, expanding ideas to mean more or less than what is intended.
Also the theme or 'where there is light there must also be dark' is common, but very true! I guess we could argue that writer's try to bring light to a dark world with their words.
Overall great job! Keep writing!

I find the poem very funny and interesting. It makes the readers enlighten their mood, or something like that. Because it work on me. Thank you very much!
My favorite part of the poem is this:
This Poet Tries
In a Fairy-Tale
World
Where Illusion
Is valued
Over Reality
Over Truth
Over Trying
Situations
I like that part because I'm into writing fantasy stories and you really wanted to think of what you want to try on that kind of genre and it directly described of what Fairy Tale World would be like. Yes, its true that illusion is valued over reality and truth when you can create an illusion , people wouldn't know and their minds would think that its real. Though I'm not quite sure about "trying" I mean it depends on what the magician would think to create an illusion because they have to be accurate in everything they see.
Would you mind explain?
So overall the poem is good. Great job!

Cool poem! The poem seems to be the actualization of the writing of this poem which was cool to see in someone so young. It's like the speaker sits down and writes the poem to the reader, so we experience the written thing as it is being written first hand. I think that the beginning stanza, maybe could focus a little more on the emotion of the struggling and the trying to get something down on the page though. We are told that the speaker is trying to find lines to fill the empty space, but we're not shown how the speaker feels. The hardship of it, the long hours lost, the gritting of the teeth, the anxiety, the dozens of drafts buried away. Show us this stuff!
The middle of the poem is my least favorite part, I think that there's a lot of ideas here and a lot of big vague notions. Illusion valued over reality doesn't really mean much to me, but if you were to say: a golden crown valued over the green grass fields and the cool, fertile muds, that all of a sudden means a lot. I think that we readers tend to connect more with images, so using images when you can is always better than using abstract words like "love" or "happy".
The end of the poem is almost ominous! It's almost as if the speaker begins the poem struggling and then finds the "light" the idea of the poem the thing itself is in that brain and it is written down and inspiring! And yet. What is this darkest shadow that it is referencing? Almost like a dark secret hidden underneath.
It is intriguing, I almost want to know more about it. Maybe write about that for your next piece?
I hope this helps.
~ as always, Audy
It did help, but I''m not sure how to insert lines that would create images without interrupting the flow/feel of this poem.

Actually, this poem just randomly came up, so I'm not surprised you found some mistakes in here.
Thanks, though!
Swiftfur,
I loved the play on words throughout the entire piece and the final stanza where you put a twist on light. That was particularly creative. I don't have many suggestions; I feel like you should keep it just the way it is.
Maybe I'm interpreting this wrong, but it sounds like you are writing about writer's block.
Loved it!

The twist on light was a quote from Lightning in FF XIIIThanks, i appreciate it!
