all your lovers

So yeah. I got bored and I just happened to see Nate's wall post with the poetry line generator. We all know what happens when Scarli gets bored, right? Poetry! Also, thanks to ThereseCricket for the points. She didn't have to donate any, but she did it anyway. Really, I shouldn't be lazy and actually go review something. Anyways, enjoy!

all your lovers

Those adoring poets of Saelia, infamous
and kind, shall mourn in the stillness of dawn,
like the old ones of longing sing their praise
before the meeting of hearts with a fate of old.
airy spirits stir and linger above a daring king
and speak after the storm in his mind has passed,
like the the young ones of pain, wailing like widows,
join in amongst the shadows of time.

Two young lovers of winter, sprawling in snow
have vanished inside the meaning of love,
where the smells of pain and sorrow
embraced before their meeting in the dim light,
but it leaves nothing to the devious imagination
before it turns beneath the surface into something
deep and eternal; all your lovers of discord
will mourn in the cold earth, abandoned.

Those adoring poets of Saelia, in all
their glory, did not mourn the passing
of a great king, nor the loss of a grand queen;
they mourn the passing of an empire,
lost to the conquering of nature and time,
but not to an enemy without honour
nor a ploy to destroy a grand kingdom.
the seasons of desire have escaped the storm,
where love does conquer all.

Marvelous! I enjoyed reading the poem first of all. You've experience in writing and it reflects here. I was never good in poetry so, perhaps, my review can be seemed immature.

These lines I found best. And, you're really good. Hats Off!

I pray, you go far! Good luck :)

Firstly I think the rythem and tone of this poem is amazing. It shows your experiance and your understanding of your style because i think poems like that is hard to write. the tone shows you have totally reached your goal of making it sound like a poem written in older times. it made me feel like i was about to read an epic fantasy noval or i've been transported into the time you've set it in.

Those adoring poets of Saelia, infamous
and kind, shall mourn in the stillness of dawn,
like the old ones of longing sing their praise
before the meeting of hearts with a fate of old.
airy spirits stir and linger above a daring king

the first verse sets the tone and style immdiety and without difficulty, this is carried all through the poem without any problem. the words like infamous, mourn, longing, gives i a light smooth rthyme/tone. the line "airy spirits stir and linger above a daring king" gives it a very slight supernatural air which i think is very comman in epic fantasy.

Well, this is easily one of the best poems I have ever read! I dunno if there is any better! I love the repetition used here:
Those adoring poets of Saelia, infamous
and kind, shall mourn in the stillness of dawn,
like the old ones of longing sing their praise
before the meeting of hearts with a fate of old.

and here

Those adoring poets of Saelia, in all
their glory, did not mourn the passing
of a great king, nor the loss of a grand queen;
they mourn the passing of an empire,
lost to the conquering of nature and time,
but not to an enemy without honour
nor a ploy to destroy a grand kingdom.

Great! But please explain what is Saelia. I have no idea. I do like the crisp, yet incomplex words that you have chosen. I think you are the one out of three naturals I like best. I'm gonna make sure I will like and follow you! :)

Thank you! And Saelia is a country in one of my novels. This is supposed to be one of those poems about a king of old.

Your welcome! Oh!
