This was funny. I like it.

Awake from the darkness
What is me?
The first thing I see--
is a cup, oh a cup,
of chai--teaaaaa.
I cannot be
expected to not drink.
What else can I do
with this tea?
Enlighten me;
it is so dark in here
and I can't find the lightswitch.
Oh whoa oh, I can barely see
the tea set in front of me.
It is very hot: above 36C.
I feel like I am brewing in my own sweaty tea.
SWEATY TEA
SOMEONE GET A TOWEL
SWEATY TEA
(buy it almost free at the Dollar Tree)!
(fifty cents, dude. Clearance.)
SWEATY TEA
WATERING THE DESERT
SWEATY TEA
IT WILL SPURT AND SQUIRT
ALL OVER YOUR SHIRT (alert, alert)
(on your t-shirt, tea shirt)
SWEATY TEA
TAKE IT WITH YOUR DESSERT. (what else rhymes with desert? resort?)
JUST BREW MEEEEE
SOME SWEATYYYYY
TEAAAAA
*soft instrumental plays*
*sounds of unicorns weeping quietly under the stars*
this has been an existential song (song~)
questioning who we are.
it's been a long daaaay, (long~)
i'm starting to swaaaay
on my feet
(oh yeaaaah, my feet [kick it up a notch]. FEEL THE BEAT!)
*drum solo*
*electric guitar and ukulele duet*
sweatyteasweatyteasweatyteaWHAT IS TEA?
IS TEA WE?
OR IS WE TEA?
*banshee screams*
*insert cheering fans here yay*
LOL this had me laughing.
The meaning of life sweaty chi tea! How did I not know this before?!!
I like how it starts of semi normal than becomes nonsensical.
As a review.
"I cannot be
expected to not drink."
is a double negative which confuses the meaning.
Some of the lines don’t read out loud so well and might sound a bit incoherent as lyrics such as; and I can't find the light switch.
The tea set in front of me.
TAKE IT WITH YOUR DESSERT.
This has been an existential song
Some of the jokes wouldn’t work so well out loud in particular T- tea shirt so I’m not sure if it matters that much.
By the way how do unicorns weeping, under the stars sound?
All in all a cool funny piece, thanks for making me smile.
Fortis epic poem.
the thing i am completely blown away is with the starting i thought it was going to be a dark kinda poem but it was not:D.
the thing that struck me was the phrase "sweaty tea" it made no sense still it keeps repeating in my mind (SWEATY TEA) rocks.
the thing also i liked about this poem is it has more of a song feeling than poem.
