The Believer
Pray you shall, or forever burn in hell!
The young child looked up to his parents and asked what did he do?
He never saw or heard from a god, let alone Jesus too,
Later he was watching TV with his parents,
And was ashamed by all the people getting hurt in the name of some church,
Those people are evil, mother had said,
But how did mother know this, it all just seemed unreal and sad,
At night the boy was scared and turned to prayer,
But even after repeated questions for help, it seemed no one was there,
Why did god not speak to him, was he evil and weak?
He ran to his parents in tears and explained his troubles and fears,
You must believe for there is a reason for everything they said,
Comforted the boy wiped away his tears and went back to bed,
To wake up the next morning to the news that his father was dead,
A heart attack, but it must have been his fault because he doubted what god had said!
The boy ran upstairs with tears streaming down his face,
Why did this happen, he asked in prayer,
But once again it seemed no one was there.
