I Won't Give Up

So I guess this is about getting strength to help others and yourself from God, and the very last two lines is about ministry. Oh, and kudos to you if you know what the second to last line in the third stanza is referencing. (It is a bible story.)

Hopelessness shrouds us all in gray
And you've fallen from the heaviness
I must make the choice of finding the light of day
Or catching you, and risk becoming pathless
What should I do?

I pray for an answer,
And as I wait for it
I see you go deeper.
Oh God, can I have some
Hope, just a little bit?

I know now that solutions come from faith
Because when I asked Him for strength
The storm died away,
And we both made it out okay

So I won't give up on you,
And I won't give up on Him,
And I guess that means
I can't give up on my enemies

So will you help me with this quest
And bring others hope and rest?

I like it! It's mysterious, yet hopeful, and religious at the same time as well. Very well written, again.

Sorry, I'm not Christian and don't know anything about the Bible.

PS thanks so much for reviewing/commenting on my work!
