Forsaken Place

In Poems

Remind me of a time when love loved me

When life was thought to be a privilege

When the sun was a godly entity

And the beauties had not jumped off the ledge

Which leads to a much better place than here.

For here is a forsaken place of death

Where nothing of good virtue will appear

And life itself has taken its last breath.

So how can I still dream of a place which

Carries love and beauty in the soft breeze

And quiet tunes are heard in a low pitch

That catches in the bluebirds' song with ease.

Maybe there is still hope for the future

But now I dream in a silent slumber

Hiya Picklesole =^-^= Happy review day! (Go team Tsunami Tyrants!) lol I have to do that every review :3

Anyhoo, I also say this to everyone in my reviews, I adore poetry most of all and always take time to dissect them pretty vigilantly, so feel free to ask me to review ANYTHING at any time ^-^

Anyhoo, Nippy is here to give you reviews m-_-m
I’ve never read a sonnet before, but this was stunning! You have skill, clearly, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’d really like to read more from you. This was lovely, and your style is so lovely. I can’t say much, other than it was a really nice piece. It flowed well and wasn’t choppy or anything at all. This is just divine and I respect your talent for constructing words together.

Well done, keep writing, and do your best!

Hey Picklesole,

As sonnets go this was written beautifully. It flowed well and had a lovely meaning. I'm not sure what I would really want to change here. It gets really close to perfect. You've chosen brilliant words to express the meanings. I love the last line, especially the last two words. It really finishes the sonnet off.

My only correct is that there is no 'd' in privilege, and if you remove that you have the perfect spelling. Keep on writing pretty poems! Looking forward to seeing more :)

Oh cool thanks, I always mess up those kinds of words. :) Thanks! :)

This is fantastic! Not that I am a professional sonnet-writer or anything, but this is a very, VERY well written sonnet. (:

Oh, thank you!
