(This is a poem about the Time of the Doctor, from Doctor Who)
Silence will fall.
That's what they said.
But silence must fall.
And so must you.
Oh, Doctor.
Would you ever bring them back?
And allow the Time War to begin anew?
All you had to do was say your name.
But your name is the Doctor.
That's all they need to know.
And they love you,
They will help you,
Change the future.
Forget being the last.
Forget dying.
Eleven's hour's over now,
The clock is striking Twelve's.
And there she is,
The first face your face saw.
Raggedy man,
goodnight!

(FIRST OFF, HELLO FELLOW WHOVIAN!!!) i know you don't have any rhymes here, that was the first thing i noticed. which is okay because not all poems need to rhyme. I have mad respect for people who write poems and don't make them rhyme, because it's such a gamble. you don't know if people would actually read it and get into it. I love this so much! you should definitely continue writing poems.
Yay for a fellow Whovian! *highfives you before getting into the review part of this* You already get rad points from me for expanding on this. I think that a lot of what you have here is really good!
My only issue with this poem was that there seems to be no inner rhythm to it. I find the poem a little bit hard to follow because the length of each line changes sporadically, and there doesn't seem to be any particular rhyme scheme. I would suggest maybe combining a couple lines or adding a couple in that help the rhythm a bit more!
Otherwise, this is a very enjoyable poem! Thank you for writing!
Thank you for reviewing!
I'm starting to get the idea that you are obsessed with Doctor Who...
Awww, you figured out my secret.
Yep, I'm a hardcore Whovian.
I think this piece is so well written. It really captures the same atmosphere of the episode. I like the way you included certain lines from the show, especially "The first face your face saw."
It doesn't try to be over dramatic or sad, but instead is commemorative and respectful of the Doctor as he was in his 11th reincarnation. Personally I hope he does bring the Timelords back eventually! An awesome poem!
Nice Poem it's really an awesome work so keep up the good work
Great poem, it really does just sum down what happened in the Time of the Doctor. This really made me want to visit past moments of the Eleventh Doctors adventures. I also love your style it's traditional but also feels like something you would actually see in an episode like the Ood's prophecy for the Tenth Doctor. A poem worthy of recognition, well done.
Thanks!
Your welcome keep up the good work
Thanks. This is the 7th poem I've ever written. And they're all about Doctor Who. And they're all posted on here too.
