It's taken me so long to realise
So long to understand
It's taken me all my lives
But for once,
I finally know where I'm going
I dream about it
Because everybody dreams
I'm going to the planet with the orange sky
To the planet with red grass
To the planet with silver-leafed trees
To the planet where the mountains would shine
Yes, it's hidden
Safe, in a pocket universe
But I will find it
Because for once,
I know where I'm going,
Home, the long way round

As a fellow Whovian, I have to say that seeing all these poems commemorated to DOctor Who excite me so much! Not done reading them all yet, but I've enjoyed the ones that I've read.

Also, Clara being my favorite of the Companions that the Doctor has had, I especially love this one. I think that the feelings which Clara stirs up in the Doctor make for the perfect topic for poignant poetry, everthing she's been through with him, all the feelings and things she's given up for him, they fit so well. I think this poem captures that very well. It also shows The Doctor's deep longing for his home, and how she is helping him come to terms with that. But I think that it takes just enough from the storyline, is vague enough to be very beautiful and poetic.
"I'm going to the planet with the orange sky
To the planet with red grass
To the planet with silver-leafed trees"
THis part is so beautiful that, even had I not the faintest clue of what it was talking about, I'd still love it.
Also, the tone in the end, it is so Raggedy Man. His strong willed, chinny perseverance.
Awesome work, followed you to stay up-to-date on any new, lovely Doctor Who works
It's Gallifrey, the description, but I didn't want to say its name.
Thanks!
Hey Tiny here!

Okay I didn't seen any grammar issues so good job with that! I did find one spelling error though, in the first line realise should be realize. I did like this piece so much I've bolded my favorite lines and parts for ya.
It's taken me so long to realise
So long to understand
It's taken me all my lives
But for once,
I finally know where I'm going
I dream about it

To the planet where the mountains would shine

Besides that one spelling error I absolutely loved this piece.
Keep writing
Thanks. I'm English so we so spell realise with an s. I'm glad you liked it, since I'm always nervous about people not liking my Doctor Who poems.
hey there

ok , so your poem was great , it's well written .
first i wanna say that i love the title of your work , it's mysterious.
also i like the beginning it's so strong .
It's taken me so long to realise
So long to understand
It's taken me all my lives
then this part ....
I'm going to the planet with the orange sky
To the planet with red grass
To the planet with silver-leafed trees
To the planet where the mountains would shine
the description was " genius " , good job .
but i think it is not rhymy for another side .
in general your poem was good , for me it's new kind of writing that i enjoyed reading it .
so keep writing
This is a really pretty poem.

It's full hope and I want to say light.
Lines like this: 'I'm going to the planet with the orange sky
To the planet with red grass
To the planet with silver-leafed trees
To the planet where the mountains would shine'
Help your piece to avoid being cliché. This work is really simple, effective and overall, just an enjoyable read.
Lovely work.
Hry. Thanks for your review. This poem is about Doctor Who. It is focussed on the Eleventh Doctor's monolouge at the end of the 50th, in which he tells us where he's going. The description is about Gallifrey.
-notes the DW referencing- Thank you for explaining.
No problem.
Hi there, a quick review on your poem here.
I was quite impressed with the imagination that you create in the poem. Including ideas about your dream to be in a beautiful place then realize in which direction you should go through or at least know where you're standing. I just want to add something that might be helpful about the punctuation mark.
I noticed something in this part:
I think the effect will be better if you put the punctuation here. So that it has a 'natural stop' for smoother reading. It depends on you, as long as you feel its impact is interesting, you can vary the ways to express your poem.
Good luck and keep writing!
Thanks. Again, this poem is about Doctor Who, and his home planet, Gallifrey. But I love interpretation.
