Merely a Feeling of Confusion

Spoiler! :
Hehe I was reading something that said "Love is an illusion, merely a feeling of confusion" and I loved that line for some reason (although I disagree with it) so I thought I'd make it into a poem ^.^

Love is an illusion,
Merely a feeling of confusion.
It slowly and silently,
Sneaks its way in.

You're showered in radiance,
Bathed in pictures of light.
A facade of happiness
Overcomes your whole being.

And with that happiness
There comes a price.
The imagined feelings
Contort and change.

Love is an illusion,
Merely a feeling of confusion.
It sneaks up behind you
And takes you by surprise.

Try not to fall,
You'll just end up hurt.
Try not to succumb,
You'll just end up torn.

Bathed in darkness,
Shadowed and stained;
A picture of evidence;
The trial of damnation.

Love is an illusion,
Merely a feeling of confusion.
More and more,
It has nothing to do with me.

I absolutely loved this! Amazing job my dear :) I can relate to some of this very easily and the description was beautifully done. All in all this is a very lovely write. Great job and good luck on your future writes.

I loved this. :)

Love is an illusion,
Merely a feeling of confusion.
It slowly and silently,
Sneaks its way in. #FF0000 ">I love these first two lines, as well. And the rhyming scheme you have going on here is awesome.

You're showered in radiance,
Bathed in pictures of light.
A facade of happiness
Overcomes your whole being. #FF0000 ">This last line kind of throws off the whole stanza.

And with that happiness
There comes a price.
The imagined feelings #FF0000 ">Comma
Contort and change. #FF0000 ">This stanza kind of loses all the rhyming scheme in it.

Love is an illusion,
Merely a feeling of confusion.
It sneaks up behind you
And takes you by surprise. #FF0000 ">I love these last two lines.

Try not to fall,
You'll just end up hurt.
Try not to succumb,
You'll just end up torn. #FF0000 ">Once again, the rhyming scheme. It just seems a bit off here, though I really do like this stanza.

Bathed in darkness,
Shadowed and stained;
A picture of evidence;
The trial of damnation. #FF0000 ">At this point, the whole rhyming thing is out the window, but I don't mind. It doesn't really need a rhyming scheme, the words just dance off the tongue.

Love is an illusion,
Merely a feeling of confusion.
More and more,
It has nothing to do with me.

I love how you changed the last two lines in the last stanza. Love, love, love. Well done, Micksters. Love ya!
