AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH I LOVED THIS!!! THANK U FOR SHARING!!! <33

Thank you SO MUCH <3!

This is a brilliant poem which, from how I've interpeted, talks about the toxicity in poster-boy femininity when it comes to interacting in relationships through it.

The ambiguity of who the speaker is and their relationship with the woman helps the imagery flow really well like the candle scene. I have interpreted it as the acctual woman and her gender expression being the speaker and the woman, correct me if I'm wrong, mainly because of the 4th stanza. Meaning the trickery is in the fact that this woman isn't what the attractive patriarchal image of woman is. She is acctually just a regular person, which is completely diffrent to the sexualised image of woman which is so normalised. But the first stanza seperates these 2 so much it makes it so ambigous.

I love how you present the woman, 'she picks up on the third ring'
'Lay on my bed... a jasmine scented scene' small things being stated with such focus.

The space imagery gives the poem makes the poem really attractive and beautiful but also shows how important the woman is in such a cool way.

I really liked this poem!

Thank you so much for your analysis! You did an amazing job at getting what I was trying to say

Heyy… Alwaysea here! It’s been months since I wrote a review, hope that’s alright.
The title it is really catchy and pulled me in right away. My first thought was—can anyone really have pure love?

It reminded me of my k-love days, where I first saw how love makes people feel everything at once—nervous, scared, excited, happy, and even sad. Like when someone plucks petals saying, “He loves me, he loves me not.”Those raw emotions always move me.

Your poem gave me that same feeling. It captured all the emotions so well.
My favorite lines were:

"Lay on my bed and watch my shadow flickering with candlelight”
“What is love without some trickery”

Sometimes, I feel hope is sweeter than knowing the bitter truth.

This was a wonderful poem, Ladybug. Truly enjoyed it! Forgive me if I missed something in my understanding. Do read some of my works if you get a chance. Thank you—and keep rocking 😎

Thank you so much, you did amazing!
