16+ Violence

In My Wonderful Little Poems!

Warning: This work has been rated 16+ for violence.

Cracks in the looking glass,

One,

Two,

Three.

Millions of eyes staring at me.

*****

One is for the cuts that garnish my wrists,

Two is for the way that I choose to dress.

Three is for the friends that I chose to keep,

While I stare into the gazes sneering at me.

*****

Cracks in the looking glass,

Four,

Five,

Six.

There go the smiles that I will not miss.

*****

Four is for my family,

Five is for my sis.

Six is for the boy that I chose to kiss.

*****

Cracks in the looking glass,

I'm sealing them up.

For I am done with the shame and pain that it's cost.

*****

Seven for the boys,

Eight for the girls.

Nine for the drama that chose to unfurl.

*****

No more cracks in the looking glass,

No siree!

Now only one pair of eyes stare at me.

I feel like this is something we can all in this site relate to because we are all around the teen ages in which we think of many things. Negatives and positives. In this part of our lives, we are still not sure who we are and some of us think of things liek the ones you had mentioned which is really sad but this is the fact. This is why this is so realistic and sad. It lets you look it from the point of view of something in this kind of situation and make you feel liek it's you. Well, we all make mistakes in this part of our lives. I like the unique style you had written this into and I will not wish to change anything.

Good job.

This poem conveyed a lot of emotion through its length, telling a satisfying of a hurt individual deciding to have more self esteem. I don't really have anything negative to say about this, besides that I think some of the rhymes are a little forced.
Thanks!

Hello! Fandomsnmusic here ^-^

This might be a short, crappy review but I haven't done reviews in a while. I really wanted to review this one though. ;)

Wow... I don't even know what to say. The hurt that you convey through this poem, it just.... Wow... Sorry, I don't even know what to say to this. I liked it, for sure. It shows something that a lot of teens nowadays, most teens I know, struggle with. A lot of teens I know struggle so badly with self-worth - thinking that nobody could possibly like them and wanting to hurt themselves, sometimes doing it, and even kill themselves. This could be taken a lot of different ways, but I see something like a little flower of hope sprouting from the ground.

This is fantastically written and I see no errors in it. I feel the no need to change anything.

Never stop writing ;)

Thank you for this review! It means a lot to me that you'd take time to review this so, again, thank you. :)
P.S. Don't worry, I have trouble with reviews at the moment also ;)

I'm having a serious review block xP

this is the first review I've written in weeks. :l

If it's something as meaningful as this is I'll always find the time to review it. ;)

Bonjour, je suis le chat noir :)
Hello, I'm BlackCatXx and I'm here to review you!!

I enjoy reading poetry, even though I can't write anything except haikus for the life of me. I liked this piece very much. It is on something I'm able to relate to by a fair amount.

I appreciate the message you conveyed with your poem, here, urging us to hold our heads up in spite of what happens in our lives, regardless of all the drama and all the mockery and everything.

I only have one itty bitty tiny miny correction, it's "sire" not "siree" but that could have just been a typo.

Anyways, I loved it, keep writing and don't let anyone crack your looking glass.

~Love,
Izzah (BlackCatXx)

Thank you! Also with the spelling I wasn't sure if it was "sire" or "siree", so I'll go double check it and change it if necessary. Thanks again for the review! Have a wonderful evening! :D

I think that was when I began to realize that reputation isn't everything. I should focus less about how others perceive me and more about what makes me happy. Because, in the end, I have to live with myself.
