The mirror in the hall
reflects glances of passersby;
only vanity or stray hair
urges them to pause,
a split second longer,
at the mirror in the
hall.
---
Faded wallpaper encases
its frame of flaking gold
from a gilded age.
Behind lies rich patterns
never caressed
by the light of
day.
---
Grandfather looms across
the passage as Father
paces the carpet.
Mother simply edges in,
creeping through the window
at the end of the
hall.
---
The sun sets
through the window
at the end of the corridor
as the glow from the
library's fireplace leaks
underneath the door
at the entrance of the
hall.

Okay, bad news and good news. I'll be honest here. Everything was split, and it made it very hard to read. Maybe it's me, or there was a problem. I also didn't sense enough description. What would've been nice was if you described a bit more. There wasn't really any punctuation either. But, besides all of that, the good news. I did get what you were trying to tell your readers, and that's always good. I could also sense your feelings within this poem. They weren't strong because of the type of poem you chose, but they were there, and that's all that matters. I liked it though. To be honest you had my eyes glued until the end.
This had a vibrant vibe coming off of it.
This was really awesome and refreshing. At least it's not about love. You wouldn't believe how many of those poems I've been reading, gaah! It's really bad how many are out there. Anyways, I'm going on now. This was really awesome, and your awesome! May you find a four-leaf clover today (or tonight depending on your time zone). Good luck! And have the best day in your life!!!!

Hey, yo, Jadefox! Strange here and I have a review for you on this fantastic Review Day! Since I'm on a reviewing streak, let me try my best on this one.
Really interesting work you have here. Surprisingly, this is the first poem about a mirror I have read that has nothing really to do with inner beauty. Instead, it's not "look inside you", its "look inside the mirror" in a sense. I really liked that factor there and how you worked it. Made me pretty happy.
My favorite thing about this poem is the stanza structure. It appears to be a smooth ride down to the bottom (last line). That was unique, and quite good. There were few parts where lines were a bit longer than they needed to be, but I'm not complaining about that.
The imagery here is, like speaker initially said, is fantastic. You managed to capture this moving picture inside my head and feel rather comfy reading it. The best thing a poem can do, other than make me laugh, is set a scene. You sure did that. You get the story of a family who just pays attention to the mirror that hides powers inside, initially, in four simple stanzas. That right there is a really impressive task.
For some reason, I feel that it could be more straight forward. It left me to interpreting the poem more than I want to, which isn't the best. Other than that, it is a delicate poem that I enioyed thoroughly.
Thank you, keep writing, and stay groovy!
Okay, if I had to describe this poem in word I would say, 'detailed'. Detailed is something a lot of poems lack in. I often think that when there is less detail there is more room for flexibility for the reader, which allows many perspectives on one piece. But, not with your poem, and I really like it!
You had a sotry to tell, and you wanted it told in a detailed way. You wanted the readers so see what you saw when you created this. I have tried to do this with my writing, and Im being totally honest by saying that I am not the best at this. I consider it a weakness. But by the way you wrote this I feel like it comes easy for you.
I also love the formatting. I'm picky when it comes to formatting. I like things to be organized and well written. I have nothing bad to say about your poem. The formatting is exceptional. The detail is amazing. The storyline is so unique and different!
Keep up the great writing. You have an awesome talent that you are using in oustiunding ways.
Keep writing bro.

Happy Review Day ! Go Team WHY?
Quick thing, in stanza 2 you could change day to hall and have really nice repetition going on here, all the other stanzas end in hall.
I loved Loved the imagery here ! It made me feel like I was a person walking into this hall but also looking at other people entering and what they felt .I'm not really sure what is going on here other than there is a family and a hall which holds much mystery and has seen many things. My favorite stanza, despite the last line, was the second one because of your really vivid use of adjectives like rich and gilded and caressed .
Awesomeness, sorry it's so short !
