E - Everyone

Stand Strong

For every Wrong there is a right,

After every day there shall be Night.

Never lose, never Fail, stand and Fight,

For you are strong, a wall of Might.

Let not the Foe strike you down,

Allow the Enemy only a rown.

As you prepare for the final Dawn,

Let it be known your Weapons are drawn.

Hey!
I really like this poem, it is well written and the rhyme fits well.

The beat or rhythm is really good and helps to add to the overall poem. And yes, poetry can have a beat, or at least a sort of rhythm as to how it reads. It's called cadence, and it greatly affects how a reader interprets a poem. If it is a fast-paced sort of beat to it, the reader is likely to see it and more of a happy poem, a slower beat/rhythm and people are likely to interpret it as sad. Poetry is about how words are constructed to evoke an emotion and feeling from a person, so, the rhythm and rhyme of words greatly influence how it is read.
Also, poetry is meant to be read aloud, it's more effective that way. But, that doesn't mean that all poetry is written with that soul purpose in mind :)

Anyway, as for the actual poem itself, it is good, well constructed and flows really well.
You capatilis a lot of words mid sentence, I don't know if this is intentional or not. I can see how it could be, so that's great!

I don't really have anything negative to say.
So, good job and keep writing

Hello there. I have just risen from the dead and you are my first review after a long while. I might not be at the top of my game if I ever had one, that is. So here it goes.

For the first half:

Everything was perfectly fine here, from the rhythm to the word selections. But the rhyme was a bit off for me on the second line, a tiny bit. But as you said above that you didn't publish it under lyrical and that none of your work is supposed to be read aloud to a constant rhythm but if when you rhyme each words ending a word then the reader by default starts thinking that it is supposed to be read aloud and that too in a rhythm. I myself thought at first that it was supposed to be lyrical but then I read the comment below and then I knew. Just wanted to tell you that. And was the “Wrong” in the first supposed to be emphasized on because it’s the only word that has been capitalized. And no periods throughout the poem kind of annoyed me.

For the rest half:

You would want to check the spelling of “strike” over there on the first line. In the last line a comma would be nice after known or you could add “that” instead of the comma. Other than that it is a good piece. Nice piece of simple imagery. I liked the second line.

I hope it was okay. Let me know if you have any queries. :)

Oh hullo there Zombie ;)
Thanks for pointing out the spelling and puncutation; I had apparently uploaded my unedited version. And as to the word "Wrong" being capitalized, I fixed my poem. I had forgot to capi the rest. I capitalize at least one extra word in every line that has meaning to me :)

Glad to be of help.

Hi, Cheetah here to review your poem.

Wow. I absolutely loved the first stanza. The rhyming was great, the beat was spot-on, perfect. The second stanza was also good, but after a uniform beat, it felt a little out of place to have a more scrambled one. Luckily, if you do want to change it, it shouldn't be hard because the beats are fairly close together. But if you want to leave it the way it is now, I totally respect your decision. It might just be your style.

Great job and keep writing! :D

This is very short. Let me see if I am able to review it or not.

It rhymes which I guess is good. Most poems I see either rhyme or are free written. It must've been hard to choose a title for it. I honestly don't get how a poem has a beat, like the guy below mentioned. It doesn't sound like a song but in a way it does. Course I always think that poems have that feel that it can be a song.

It is a very good poem and yay! You are out of the green room. Congrats and keep writing!

Hi there, It was so enthralling when you try to play with the rhythm in the poem. Naturally, it can bring a charm of its own. It was so exciting to read. Only one may be a bit 'deface' the rhythm in the poem is the beats pattern that may be less suitable. It is very confusing when trying to talk about music in a rhythm poem(iambic).

{lub-DUB lub-DUB lub-DUB lub-DUB lub-DUB}
You’ll notice that each iambic is made up of one unstressed and one stressed beat (lub-DUB).

In the first stanza, it still sounds good but in the second stanza, the beats has changed. But in a free verse poem, I do not think it is a matter that should be taken seriously. You can give whatever you like as long as the rhythm when read aloud, it produces good sound / balanced. Again, I love the theme you use here. It gives inspiration to the reader, whenever they read the poem. Keep writing! :)
Kudos, cheers.

You may note that this was not filed under lyrical. None of my poems are meant to be read aloud to any rhythm that stays constant. :)

Sorry, what do you meant by lyrical?
