On each and every morning,
While the birds sang and danced,
I awoke and started yawning,
And in the mirror I glanced,
I saw my hair needed brushing,
So I brushed before feeding the cat,
Even then I was desperately rushing,
To sweep up, while my step-mother sat,
I went to-and-fro as she ordered and drank,
Tidying rooms and collecting letters,
As my step-sisters sipped Pinot blanc,
But still I did not break my fetters,
I waited and worked day after day,
Hoping my Prince would come,
And take me far, far away...

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Messenger here for you. So I clicked on this, interested my your description, and I can't say I was disappointed.
Now, I was not expecting it to be Cinderella (I am assuming that's what this was about) but I did like it a lot. Your rhyming and line-length got a little iffy in the middle where you are talking about the birds, but for the most part the tune was nice, happy, and flowed well. It had a catchiness too it due to your rhyming scheme.
I kind of laughed at the end . . . if you would like to continue this though I'd suggest adding a little rhyme at the end about Ball invitations coming or something, and then you could do another one where she meets the fairy godmother. I think you could write it well!
If not you don't have to, but if you do let me know, please?
That's about all I have to say. No grammar or punctuation mess-ups that I saw!
Keep it up !

Thank you!! I will let you know xx I really appreciate your comment!
Hey Traunt! Laure here for a quick review! After that wonderful review you wrote for me on my chapter, I'm afraid this will be a pretty bad review in comparison to the review you did. So I really liked the theme of this, is pretty rare to see princess based poems. Since most of them works I read are depression and self-harm and whatnot, so is good to see a change of heart. Though the content is a cliché, I stilled very much like it. I noticed the rhyming in this poem in the format of, A-B-A-B. At first, the rhyme flowed along pretty well for the first five or so lines. IT added rhythm to the poem and gave it a pace, however after that. It sort of fell away, so that each word seemed like you only wrote it to rhyme. So, I found some spelling mistakes the previous reviewers didn't and thought I would add in some of my opinions on this poem as well.
I think you meant brushed instead of bushed.Step doesn't need to have a capital S.
So, not much to say. I would recommend to add in some more imagery but then, it wouldn't rhyme. So, overall I thought this was quite an enjoyable poem. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! I will make those adjustments! (If you want me to review anything just let me know) I really appreciate you pointing out the mistakes! Thanks again!
I'm not very familiar with poems, but I hope my feedback will be helpful regardless.
I think An Everyday Princess is pretty, but unpolished. It presented imagery in my head but was a bit more difficult to read than it needs to be. A lot of the lines have a bit of a checklist vibe to them, listing off things that are happening. The rhythm could also be improved. I read the poem out loud, and at some points it felt like the lines should have been longer or shorter.
Also, an opinion on word choice:
The first line feels good, but the second one feels weaker due to the use of "began". I think some other variant of the sentence that uses "yawned" would be more appropriate, but that's just my opinion.
One final note, I really like the use of "fetters". I actually had to Google it. You taught me a word! *thumbs up*
All in all I like your poem, and I encourage you to keep writing them.
Thank you!! I really appreciated your advise
Glad I could share some knowledge with you as well as listen to your advise
I will make my adjustments right away!
Hey there! Kekai, here to review your poem. I really love when people base poems off fairy tales, so I was glad to check this one out. I really like a lot of the stuff you have going on here, but I still feel like this poem could use a little bit of work.
The first four lines are really good, but after that I feel like the rhythm of your poem becomes jumbled and difficult to read. There are too many syllables in some of the lines, making it hard to flow between the lines easily. I suggest a massive reread of this poem, out loud. Which lines flow well? Which lines don't? How could you rephrase things to make them flow more easily, or sound less awkward?
Also, when you say "tiding rooms and collecting letters," I believe you mean "tidying"? Just a little grammar thing there.
Lastly, I think a cool way to end the poem, instead of "and from that hell-hole would take me away", which sounds a bit awkward, you could say "And take me far, far away". It keeps with the fairy tale theme and flows more easily.
In all though, you have the makings of a good poem here! Keep up the good work!
*Grins* Thank you! I also love the fairy-tale themed poems! I will take your advise with gratitude! Thanks and thanks again
