I'll Be There

This was meant to be a string of haikus, but formatting refused to let me put spaces between them.

No matter how bruised

And battered I may be, just

Know that I'll be there.

No matter how much

Anger and pain you cause, please

Know that I'll be there.

No matter how screwed

Up your life gets, you need to

Know that I'll be there.

No matter how much

Time we spend apart, please just

Know that I'll be there.

What I'm trying to

Say is that I love you, and

I'll be there for you.

Flame here, as promised!

I am awed. This is sends a powerful message, with the repetition of "Know that I'll be there." It's hard not to repeat what the reviewer below me wrote, as it was short and sweet, and I had to admire your fluency and rhythm. I just want to gush about it :D...

However, there's one small mistake. Second stanza: "No matter how much anger and pain you cause, please..." Cause who? This is a little confusing, since you just transitioned from "I" to "you." Just fiddle with that a bit, and your piece will be sparkling!

Can't wait to hear (or read, I guess?) more from you!

Thanks! I was also questioning that same stanza myself, but I just hadn't gotten around to fixing it.

Wow, loved it! I suck at writing haikus, so I can really appreciate what you're doing here. If you want to separate stanzas, shift + enter, or just use hyphens or periods.

Sorry for writing so little; I'm in a half-dazed state right now and really need sleep. I'll try to get back to you!

Thanks for commenting. :) I tried to do the shift enter, but it still refused to work. :(

Oh, that's fine. When I separate stanzas myself, I don't bother with the Shift Enter thing; I just use dashes or periods or stars, so that the site acknowledges that there's text there and that a line should be skipped!
