Inspiration struck me on the 1st of November.
I thought I could write, I swear I was sober.
"Romance? Dystopian? Supernatural?"
My friends asked.
And I answered with a simple "IDK"
For mystery was what I was aiming.
With a fair amount of suspense and maybe a thriller.

Sitting on my desk.
Thinking.
Laying on my bed.
Thinking.
Walking around the school halls.
Thinking.
"Idea!" I exclaimed when I knew what to write.
But then I just scratched it off 'cause it didn't sound right.
*
"My brain is gonna burst." I said one day
"Don't worry" my friends assured,
"It wont. Hang on you have one?"
Now how could I explain to them mundane,
the pain of not being able to write?
So I kept my mouth shut and just rolled my eyes.
*
NaPoWriMo I could do,
But NaNoWriMo? What was I thinking? I ask myself.
This is totally out of question!
But then inspiration struck,
and I couldn't do without noting it down.
I'm a contradiction to myself. I think
Scratching my brain,
as I sit on my desk itching to write something,
Still stuck with character names and their appearance.

I have a couple questions. I know what NaNoWriMo is, but how do I participate? Is there a place where guidelines are posted? And what if you don't finish the novel by December?
I don't know much about it as I am yet to participate but the comp ends at December and no entries will be accepted afterwards. I would recommend signing up next year when you have plenty more time to write. More info can be found on the website which will come up if you search NaNoWriMo 2016 in google I think.
I find NaNoWriMo very unrealistic for me. I think it's a good way to just jot a load of random ideas down and create a very messy draft with what you come up with. But an actual decent novel? No chance. I think the fastest I've written a first draft is 10 months.
You have captured the horrible dilemma writers face when ideas just won't fit together. I currently have a wall in my bedroom filled with mind maps of characters, maps, timeline, relationships etc of the novel I'm currently (attempting) to write. It the first time I've done it and I can tell you it does really help. Because there is no avoiding it!
I like how you described none-writers as 'mundane', like they are lesser than us XD
Also, I think this is a typo - 'and I couldn't do without notting it down', do you mean 'noting'?
Anyway, good piece, it's nice to know we are all sometimes in the same aggravating place haha
haha thank you
...n i'll fix the error right away! I'm realky glad for the feed back

I enjoy the appeal to the reader with NaNoWriMo. I, myself, have never entered NaNoWriMo, but I can tell that it would be very stressful. Maybe stressful isn't the right word. Uh... It can be very difficult to create a whole novel in a month.
It doesn't only relate to NaNoWriMo writers, but also just any writer. I can relate to this poem very well, and I can understand clearly the concept that you are trying to reach/approach.
But, the rhyme scheme is hard to follow, and some of the wording is hard to understand. I like the repetition of "thinking." It gets your point across very well.
"'Idea!' I exclaimed when I knew what to write./But then I just scratched it off cause it didn't sound so right."
When I first read the above couplet, I thought it would work better without the "so," to make the writing go more smoothly. The syllables seemed to work better if there was no "so" between sound and right.
Just make sure you check and edit your writing as well: I noticed a few mistakes. I noticed you spelt NaNoWriMo wrong in one of your sentences, and in the above couplet "cause" should be spelt with an apostrophe ('cause) since it comes from the word because.
Just some errors there.
So, just some things that you might want to work on in your future writing. Otherwise, great!
Keep up the writing. Practice makes perfect.
So you certainly get points for explaining how every writer feels when all the ideas in our heads don't flow together, when we have one scene down to the tee, but everything else fades into oblivion or the twilight zone or where ever unreached brilliance decides to go under pressure.
However, I had a bit of trouble with your rhyme scheme. It seems unsteady. The rhymes that you do toss in there are brilliant. They just aren't consistantly in the same place. In the first stanza, "November, sober, and thriller" all rhyme with each other. In the second stanza, only the last two lines rhyme. I think I would have enjoyed reading it more if it were a little smoother.
That's my only complaint though, the rest is wonderful. Keep un the good work!
Thank you...and I really did not intend to rhyme this atall... 0.0 doono how it happened ...
