Dreamer

ˈdriːməә/ noun

1.  A distinctly colourful species. Self-confessed romantics. Made up of nooks and crannies, mismatched secrets and a curiously insatiable desire for pondering. A minority. Found in the deepest depths of a human –always lingering. Always looking at the world in a mixture of rosy melancholy and unshakeable awe. Finding comfort in how things will be. How it will all change one day. The brushstrokes of an artwork and the melodies of the music. They are many things and none at all. Dreamers find reality within their musings.

They make things happen.

Hi.

I feel like at the end of this piece you start reaching for something to say rather than just cutting it. You start this poem in the format of a definition. This format is quite unique and I really like it but near the end you start going more towards the abstract which clashes with the rest of the poem. For example when you say, "The brushstrokes of an artwork and the melodies of the music." This is a really nice sentence but isn't in the same style as the rest of your work and therefore clashes.

Otherwise I really like this. Its short yet complex. The flow is really nice and I like your words choice.

Keep writing.

ey b0ssi it's awtbeyders

let's get right into the news

Part 1: Prose or poetry?

This is a very close one, but it is technically prose poetry. Poetry, but written in prose form.

This one is written in sentences and paragraphs instead of verse and stanza and (from what I can see) does not have any recurring rhythm, but this isn't completely prose for three reasons. Firstly, it uses a lot of imagery. Like, a lot. It never is direct, but instead immerses you in the experience with flowery words, new settings, smart metaphors and IMAGINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATION. Next, the dictionary format is actually a form of poetry. It falls under the same category as image poetry and acrostic poetry, because it is a creative and not-normal way of presenting the ideas.

Actually, this last part, it's more of a conflict with how this site categorizes the literature and this work. YWS has three categories for them stories: shorts, poetry, and storybooks. We can't consider this poetry completely, because it's written in prose. However, we can't call this a short story either because it doesn't have the plot of a short story. It doesn't have an introduction, rising action, climax, or any of that fancy stuff at all.

Thus, the closest it can be is poetry. But it's actually prose poetry.

you gotta give sum deep thought into it mang

Part 2: The actual review

Your main idea would be definition of the word "dreamer." In terms of unity, this prose poetry is alright. Except for one sentence. "The brushstrokes of an artwork and the melodies of the music." I don't see how this fits in at all. Or maybe I'm just too dumb to see the actual meaning.

I believe this one can be arranged better in terms of importance. For example, don't you think the fourth sentence can be placed better at the later or earlier parts?

The imagery is nice. Some sound really vague at first glance, but it does get understood on deeper thought.

Overall, it's lovely. But there is still room for improvement. Insert more comments because it's 2AM and I'm really sleepy.

this isn't poetry

this is poetry in prose form

I still consider it as poetry :)

I'll get my review on and explain why this shouldn't be labelled poetry, at least in this site.

Hi there!

“You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one.”
― John Lennon

Dream- An abstruse, confined state of omnifarious semblances. It's out of the blue as well as welcoming. It's a happy man's heaven and a distressed man's hell.

This is very good writing, One can remember the experiences of frightful nights and happy mornings while reading this poem. It's because of the lavish selection of words

#Each module of your poem stands by the meaning, It's very precise and segmented in a fruitful way.

# "Always looking at the world in a mixture of rosy melancholy and unshakeable awe" . This line explains the ultimate raison d'être of this inexplicable phenomenon .

These few lines made my day :)
I'am waiting for your next work
Keep writing!
