The Lonely Bird

This world makes me insecure-
Its charm, its grace and all that lures;
Lures little birds into its Trap,
Promising to never again let their wings flap

I hear a groan from one end.
Yet, as I try a Helping Hand to lend,
There it tugs me back with all its might,
Like it tugs back all things that fight fright.

Aware of being trapped in that dreadful Trap,
I’m aware of all the Helping Hands being tugged back.
Yet, a Lonely Bird in the Lonely Sky I fly,
And there in my little Nest of Untold Love I reside.

This is a nice poem but the thing is for me, why did you make it rhyme? Yes I know that is one way to create a poem such as this but I think that if you did it in a different template that it would have a lot more meaning to it than what is showing up on the page right now.
Now if you look at the poem for the rhyme, it doesn't really seem to rhyme at the end. "Fly" and "Reside" don't really rhyme but than again who am I to say that it is wrong? It could be your own way of creating this poem, indeed it's not bad at all. I really like it.
~Thank you for a wonderful job on your poem. :)

I feel like this was decent, but really stifled by your attempt to follow a strict rhyme scheme. Sometimes rhyming works, sometimes it doesn't; this case was the latter.
The other important thing to keep in mind is uniqueness. Honestly, it's poetry, and virtually all tyhings poetic have been done before - so be sure to give your poems a sense of relevance by giving it its own edge.
This poem's fine, just nothing exciting. That being said it has a nice rhythm and has an interesting metaphor that I actually kind of wish you would have stuck with even more.
Keep Writing,

The poem is actually pretty amazing but i think you should stick to one thing. In the first stanza you give away exactly what it is you are feeling. However the second and third use the idea of the bird and does not say exactly what is going on. It gives rise to the idea of imagination where the reader is free to interpret this however they want. But then when your first paragraph is so outright it takes that away. Of course, its your poem but being bad at understanding poems myself i prefer when there are chances of personal intepretation. But its alright to have a little direction.

Also if it is possible i think you could have continued this poem. It is short and beautiful but i think it could have taken flight with one or two more stanzas. I like the idea of you being a lonely bird but maybe more writing could have given you the chance to compare yourself to something else as well which could have helped reinforce the idea of lonliness

You'd better wise up, Pony... you get tough like me and you don't get hurt. You look out for yourself and nothing can touch you, man.
