That was a very good poem, and I can really tell you put a lot of work into it. I really liked the theme of the poem, to live life to the fullest because you don't know when it's going to end. However, I am a little confused about your rhyme scheme. The first two lines of te first two stanzas do not rhyme at all, but the fist two of the third stanza do... was that intentional or not? I'm just a little confused... Good poem overall, though!
this poem flows very well, and it draws the reader in from the very first line. "by grace of the maniac with a mind adrift?" this line just has something about it that really apeals to me. i really liked this poem. the lines are just right. not overly flowered, yet not to concise. you are a talented poet. i really want to see what you write in the future as well. i believe my favorite line was the last one, "for a gust of winf, might blow it away forver." this is a very good line to end on, though you could even add more later. you use very vivid imagry in this poem and it helps to convey your meaning to anyone reading your work. you should continue writing, and expand your talent in every direction, and i think you'll be a great writer. looking at your age, im amazed. im only one year older than you, and my poetry isnt nearly as good as this. good luck in all your future wrining endevors, and i cannot wait for your next post.
Thank you, Lily. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll definitely keep writing and improving.
A very well written poem! i like the consistency and flow of this piece, i think that there are minor tweaks you could do to sway any confusions with wording etc. other than that, a nice piece!
Thanks, Amie!
A very nice poem I should say. It was well written and one can say that you have really put a lot of work into it. There are no faults in here at all. You had a very good flow going in there. However, it was disrupted in the second line of the second stanza. Reading your poem once more, I think that that 'anxious' is not needed. Then again you have managed to put the same number of lines in all of the stanzas albeit the last one. It has seven lines but you can add one more and then dive it into two. That way you get four stanzas of four lines. Other than those little things there is nothing wrong in there and it cannot be anymore better.

Not really. There are 6 lines in the end. This is meant to be a sonnet. 4-4-6 i.e a total of 14 lines.
Thank you anyways.
