For the past week, I have been assisted by six incredible judges in reading through all of the fantastic entries that were submitted for the Valentine's Day Contest. This was something I could not have done alone, so please thank Rydia, Kafkaescence, Audy, GeeLyria, Twit and StellaThomas for their hard work.

Now, as for the results:

All of you submitted fantastic entries, and it was hard to go through them and decide what to cut and what to keep. I don't want anyone to feel discouraged, so if you did not place and would like me to write a review of your work, send me a PM and I'd be happy to do so.

Without further ado:

Poetry

Third
Kyllorac, Untitled

Second
TwistedMuffins, What An Odd Little Star

First
indieeloise, Sometimes when I miss you

Honorable Mention
Niteowl, Second chance

Fiction

Third
Hannah, In Memory

Second
DarkPandemonium, Caged

First
beckiw, Old Friends

Honorable Mention
austynpotyok, Untitled

-
Congratulations to all of the winners. If you placed third through first, please PM me to claim your prize - beckiw and indeeloise, you each have a choice between a coffee mug and mousepad, so please tell me that in your PM! Honorable mentions will be receiving a gift from me momentarily.

All our dreams can come true — if we have the courage to pursue them.

Congratulations everyone! This was a really close contest and I've thoroughly enjoyed helping to judge! It was really hard to cast my votes toward the end, but everyone who placed was spectacular! And so were many who didn't.

Well done everyone!

If I were to have a super power, it would be to time-travel, so that I could turn back time, and erase your very existence.

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.
