APRIL MADNESS
Hello everyone! I hope you're enjoying 2021 and are excited to join us in April Madness! This is a traditional competition that has been occuring on YWS for a few years now.

Please sign-up by April 4th, as groupings will be announced on April 5th.
What is April Madness?
Poets face off to determine who the best YWS poet for this year, through a series of rounds by submitting poems to be tested against the poems of their opponents!

The Judges

The Rules
1. All poems must be written in April.
2. Poems can be written in any genre or length.
3. Poems must be submitted on this thread (either the poem or a link to it) by the deadline for each round. If there is a conflict, please inform the judges as soon as possible. If necessary, please submit early and simply leave an "EDIT" in the submission to inform the judges that the poem has been edited.
4. Poems may not be reused from previous rounds, unless it's a poem used for the final round.
What will the contest look like?
This will be a bracket-formed competition, as viewed here.
Last year's April Madness can be seen here as an example!
When will each round be?
Round One
Pairings will be announced April 5th, while poems must be posted by - results alongside the next round pairings will be announced on April 12th.
Round Two
Poems must be posted by - results alongside the next round pairings will be announced on April 19th. The poets who lost the first round will also write a poem for Round 2, for the "redemption bracket" and compete against each other for a spot in the next round.
Round Three
The two winners of the "redemption bracket" will be added into the last two groups for the third round. Poems must be posted by - results alongside the next round pairing will be announced by April 26th.
Round Four
For the final round, the last two poets will compete directly against each other, by submitting a poem by . Final results will be announced by May 3rd.
