Tyrant looked up at Renian. He took a deep breath and shrugged. "Ya," He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair. He rubbed his face trying to stay awake. "You?" He looked at her and thought about what had happened. He took a deep breath and stood up. They had been through more then he had been through his whole life. He didn't know what to do anymore. He had always been cool about everything. He had always kept his cool knowing that he could get otu of anything. But now there were people that could use majic and could kill him. He took a deep breath and ran his hand through his hair again, waiting for her response.
(As long as your posts are at least that long it's okay. Also, sorry if I seem to be a little mean today, where I am it's 11:00. Whenever it starts to get late and I get tired my true personality starts to poke out, and it's not a very friendly one.)

"Not really. I can't really explain it but something's telling me that this is right where I need to be. Helping out with this. It's actually pretty cool." She smiled and stood up, tossing her poking stick into the fire. She grabbed a few more logs and tossed them in, twitching her ears and swaying her tail. "It's funny though. How one day in town became this. I used to hate talking to people and now...it's pretty awesome."
"That's good." He smiled, "I was never one to surrond myself with other people." He smiled running a hand through his hair and looking at the fire. He got a fire poker and started moving logs around in the fire so it got hotter and brighter. He pulled the stick from the fire and watched the flame bounce around on it. He watched the smoke rise after the small flame went out. "Does it ever astound you that we are in control of fire, or anything?" He sighed.
"It does. It's so weird though. How a simple person, who had no intention of doing anything, has control over these great elements. Renian smiled up at him, resisting the urge to push a loose hair out of his face. She smiled and looked back at the fire, sitting back down and poking it with her own stick. She sighed and looked up at the sky, through the trees. Millions of stars twinkled, lighting up the sky. She smiled and looked at the moon, which had a beautiful blue tint to it.
Tyrant watched Renian watching the sky. She was so pretty. She pushed hte thought away and laid back looking up at the sky letting the fire warm his body. He could feel the heat making his skin burn, but he didn't mind. "Renian, if we hadn't ever met, what would you have done when that dragon attacked?" He asked looking over at her for a few minutes then looking back up at the sky. He watched as a shoot star flashed over head and he smiled. IT was so pretty and so peaceful, almost as if nothing was wrong, as if there was no evil.
Renian sighed, keeping her eyes on the sky. "I'd probably not do anything. I probably stay in my house while it burnt to a crisp. Before I met you I had nothing to live for. No meaning." She smiled at him, realizing what she'd said and blushing deeply, looking quickly back at the sky. Smoothe move. Striker hissed in her mind. She thumped the cat, who was thankfully wrapped around her freezing feet, on the nose.
Karan made her way back to the camp once she finished drying off, but the sound of someone fighting pulled her attention elsewhere. She followed the sound until she saw Kai training in a nearby clearing. Draco was with him, watching the half-breed practice.
Karana hadn't even stepped into the clearing when Kai stopped and said, "Something on your mind, Karana?" He waited for her question.
(I'm not sure what to write about at the moment, so I'll let you write something for our two characters, Ayumi.)

I hesitated. What would I tell him? I knew I could talk to him about anything, but this...it was different. How would I even begin? How would he react?
"I'm just...I can't stop thinking about home and everything we lost. I'm afriad of what lies ahead...I'm worried about you."
Draco glanced between us as Kai turned to me. He sighed. "I know what you mean. In a single day, we've lost everything and had our lives turned upside down. I was nearly killed, we all learned about our destinies, we were all injured in the fight with Kujimaru...it's hard to accept when you really think about it."
I nodded.
"But why are you worried about me?"
I felt myself blush. I shrugged. "I just am..."
He moved closer. "You must have a better reason; we always do."
I finally looked into his eyes. "I..."
He waited.
"Oh, Kai...I worry because I can't help it! I can't stop worrying, because I'm falling in love with you."
I waited for his reaction; in secret, I wanted him to accept me, to love me in return. Hell, we'd been together for so long already! And, didn't he kiss me back earlier? What would he do?
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
Kai stared at her for a moment. Did he hear her right? Did she just say she loved him? It was so sudden it left him in shock.
"Kai?"
Kai closed his eyes for a moment to help him focus. Truth be told, he had wondered what it might be like if Karana was more than just a friend, but he had always thought of her as a friend. But, now that she had told him her true feelings he realized he felt the same way about her, too.
But...
"Karana, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel the same way. So much has happened in the past few days, you may be having trouble controling your emotions." Kai could tell from her expression that Karana was bracing herself for what he was going to say next. "Karana, you have been a great friend over the years, and it would kill me to lose you. But, this is going to be a dangerous journey, and strong emotions like this may cause us to hesitate in battle. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

I nodded, my heart racing. I felt ridiculous as his words sank in, and, in truth, they hurt! I swallowed hard as tears threatened to spill over.
But, to make it all worse, I understood everything he was saying.
"I know..." I breathed, voice soft. "And I do understand. That's why it's so hard." I forced back a whimper. "This won't change how I react in battle or similiar situations; this only means that I will always be beside you, fighting with you and for you. I don't want to lose you. Never again."
I took his hand in mine and gave it a gentle squeeze.
And that was it. Until the journey was over, that was how our lives would have to be. Nothing more than comrads...
But it hurt!
I finally turned and darted away, letting the sobs finally escape me.

Kai watched as Karana ran off into the forest. It hurt him to see her like this. He knew in his head it was for her own good, but his heart said otherwise.
Draco looked at him and asked, "You are not going after her?"
"This is something she needs to come to terms with herself," Kai said. "If I try to go after her it'll only make our feelings stronger."
"So you sacrifice happiness for safety?" the dragon asked. There was a slight tone of curiosity in his voice.
"I would rather be at her side than at her grave. This way will be best for both of us." He closed his eyes and sighed. Even though he knew he wouldn't be heard, he whispered, "I'm sorry, Karana."
