Constant reminders of one way reciprocity

You say it's a give and take
And you're right
Every time I give, you take more then I have
Even when I pour out my life
To keep you safe
Or maybe just to keep you from hurting all I know
Becuase my world shatters easily
You built a glass house around me
Throwing all your hard stones
Because what does it matter if the glass cuts me
You'll never get a scratch
You'll come from the hurricane with everything you ever truly loved
Why do I hang on
Because I need someone to remind me I am alive
Even if that's life isn't much
I am alive

*sigh* I did write this yesterday, but I didn't post it Beacause I was sick and forgot does it still count for poem a day badge?

delicate suspicions


I guess you have to be carful who  you let see innocence
Because sometimes something that you let blow into the wind
Can become pain and tears
Because false suspicions
Can be gratly damaging to the unaware
It can shake an already shaken world
And even dump it upsidedown.
Ending all that you thought you knew
Ending dreams
Ending it all
Ending

The unmesurable end

Flying on ocean blue wings
That only take me so far
Only to the end of the world
It never feels far enough
I always want to fly farther
I need to fly further
Will I ever know what's far below
Or will I be to broken by the time I reach earth
Ambitions can somtimes take more then falling ever could
Soon my wing's evaporate
Is this the end?
Is this the begging?

The crafted peices of you

Pain is the chisel
That etches into your heart
That takes your past and distorts
That takes your past and clarifies
That takes you to new lands
And chains you down to old
And tears
Tears are the testament to your pain
That wares down the well worn path
That defines your existence
Creates the more realistic you
That shows you what is true
That hides what was false
And love
Love is the strongest eraser
That erases all your pain
That wipes all your tears
Even on your darkest days
Somone loves you
Even if you don't know it yet
Someone is there

The suns forgotten ashes

Sunkissed memmories turn into a black dust
As all that was known falls to the earth
They slither into a pool of impressions
Tainted once again
Then cleaned by love
It grows into a waving palm
Dust upon my head
A season cycle
A testament to the dead
And what is yet to come
How long will the sun shine
How long will we be in free fall
How long until it crashes down
The end and begging of all

star burning
I stare at the sky
As all things left undone
all things left unsaid
All things we can change
Fall to the sky like comets
Earth shattering
But it's not the earth thats broken
There is no burning crator
Only burning tears
Crators filled with doubts
Burning to nothing
Ending it all
The stars are still shinning

Words set in stone ereased

Every word fills me with contempt
The melts into saddness
I try to hide my tears
But you take no efforts to hide your words
You laugh and I am am broken
You don't care what you said
But I can hear every tanted syllable replay
You think nothing but
Sticks and stones have broken my bones
Your words have always hurt me
But then i see a hand
It leads to a smile
And I know all is fine
I am strong
Your words are gone

Whoops, bearly got this in in time. But I'm barely there so haiku

The waving willow strong
Precision cut with golden sap
Too soon forgotten

The midnight night washes over
looking up at the shinning stars
The sky is framed by trees
A rainbow of purples, greens and blues
Connecting each forgotten shape
The often invisible definitions
Never sure when to begin or end
The moon reflects the sorrow
The sun rises ending it all

I walk on sunbeams
Each gold ray scorching my feet
Still i am but dust

Loving your nature imagery Trinity! That last haiku in particular really gets me -- the reveal of the speaker being "dust" captures the 'aha-moment' haiku tend to have. I also like the reversal of the sunrise being an "end" rather than the beginning in your April 17th poem. In general the way you twist the imagery in the ends of your poems is interesting and ties the pieces together. Good luck with reaching your NaPo goals!

Left undone

The choices you make today matter
Matter like the melting sun
Matter like swimming moon
Matter like the falling stars
Because tommorow may never come like a million lost sunrises
Because tomorrow may come to fast like a forgotten moon
Because tommorow may shift like the changing constellations
A moment put off can bend future like I diamond denting foam
It will change the world
And evry atom that makes up your forgotten mind
Torn a part like a mist from your soul
A cloud of whats forgotten loosing all you love
Remember to tred carefully and never leave a moment lost
Lost to all left undone
You can never get it back

Saving me from my saddened mind
Making me remember the world is bright
It's a s bright as your smile which chases away shadow
Letting me breathe
Even on my worst days you make it worth living

These last two are very hard-hitting poems Trinity, and I completely agree with Lim on the nature imagery - I especially enjoyed the way you described "burning stars" in the poem "star burning" it was an aspect of creation I hadn't really thought about before and I liked the image that you painted with your poem. Keep on going! <3
