Alec Rose
"Walk with me?" Susanne asked smiling. I smiled back and nodded stepping beside her. We walked out onto the beach, I rolled up my skinny jeans and held onto her shoulder, ""It's been ages - I've missed you!" I hid my smile with my hair. "Hey!" She giggled and pushed it back, "What ya been doing with yourself, since.. you know.. Well, um, last time we saw eachother..?" She quickly rushed.
I smiled, straightening up and looking down at her, "Well, not much." I lied, I just didn't feel like letting her know about everything that's been going, with me going to jail and everything. She frowned, knowing something was up, I decided it would just be best to tell her, "It was a few months back. I was caught up in a drug deal -I didn't do them, I swear, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time..." I shrugged
"Oh, Alec." She took my hand, "Are you okay? How did your- Shannon take it?" She asked, her eyes darting around me face for and sign of emotion. I kept my face blank. I was cut up about it, but didn't really show it.
"She was mad, really mad. But I explained.. She believed me.. Then she ended up crying and hugging me.." I shrugged.
"Well, what did your friends do?" She asked. We were passing everyone, they were having a water fight.
"Nothing..." I shrugged again. She nodded, and we continued to walk up the beach, "It is really good to see you through.." I smiled. The sunset behind us was casting pretty colours of her face. I put a stray piece of hair off her face-
"Pizza!" We heard from down the beach.
"We'd, urm, yeah." I said moving my hands away. "Race ya!" I yelled running off. Gahh, that was awkward. I mentally slapped myself.
We got back to the beach house. I won, of course. Susanne came in after me and playfully punched my arm, "Hey!" I yelped.
"That's for running off." she laughed and grabbed some pizza and a plate.
"Thanks." I said smirking and grabbing the other piece on her plate. "I didn't get to ask about what you've been doing.."
