Is sometimes like a waterfall,
Pouring, dashing, splashing
Never-stopping
Us wading in the pools
Gathered at the base

Is sometimes like a storm
Violent, shaky, collapsing
Heart-wrenching
Us fighting with the other
Crying at night

Is sometimes like a flower,
Delicate, charming, gentle
Slowly growing
Becoming something more
A chance to last forever

This isn't very good and it's a little long, but I suppose it does work as a love poem...

Sun and Moon

I twirl through the sky
But only in the night

I sashay across the heavens
But only in the day

Where are you?
He who lights the earth

Where are you?
Silver disk and twinkling children

I reach for you
My flame, my desire

I cry for you
Icy queen of my heart.

But I cannot find you.
Where are you?

I cannot come
My time is not the dark.

I must not stray
I hide in the day

Why won’t you come?
I love you.

I’ll save you
If only you’ll stay

Twilight’s not forever.
Goodbye, love.

I’m sorry
It didn’t have to be this way.

If only...
No, it would never work.

Forever...

Doomed to be apart...

Might as well enter this poem I never got around to posting:

Spoiler
Awake, my love -- the dawn is come.
The stars will fade, the darkness, run
as blood pools on the horizon, red,
and paints the sky above your head.

Stay close, my love -- the day is here.
The sky has dried; the sun is clear.
The world which stands before you bright
greets you now with all its might.

Now sleep, my love -- the night, it falls.
Do not heed those doleful calls
which rend the heart with lonesome fears.
Close your eyes and close your ears

to all but me, and only me,
and sleep in peace eternally.
Secretly a Kyllorac, sometimes a Murtle.
There are no chickens in Hyrule.

Hm, I haven't done much writing specifically about romance, though my characters in my novels usually end up falling in love somehow or other. Maybe I shoud try writing just the love and forgetting the rest? Ugh. Someone should remind me to write this and post it...

I wouldn't have time to start up on a new fresh story so I'm just going to put this up. Not many people have seen this but I've got a few reviews.

Let's see what happens next though I don't think I'll be winning this one because there are so many much more awesome than mine so good job on thatto everybody and best of luck! ^^

My entry:

Spoiler
Sonnet XXII,
Proving the true

Pretend that you and I are one among stars,
Where no-one but the Moon can boast
Of the darkness in space it scars,
Yet precious brightness we ardently host.
Magnificent light in darkness is spread
As golden riddled as the very Sun’s eye,
And opens up the truth that’s buried
In modesty’s closet-glory to one day die.
A proof to which I will always fight,
Regardless of all the times I’m foiled,
And compliments will come in loads,
Until one day all self-doubt and loath is toiled:
Then happy I, that love and am beloved,
May prove the true that never be removed;
And may I forever declare to this wonderful girl
That she is forever more beautiful than any pearl.
