Erina

Erina sat in her assassin gear and mask atop a rickety old roof. At Mercury's request, she was trying to gather information. After she told him about the spy, she went to visit the old man for a lesson in dark sorcery. That was one appointment she could not blow off. He had her practice creating dark nega space while he told her about how there had been guards recurring for new soldiers in this area. Hopeful, she could "interrogate" the one in charge and get some information. Suddenly, Erina could hear the fimiliar sound of a gaurd yelling. Erina looked over to a nearby tavern and saw two figures clime out the side window. Erina decided to investigate and sprinted across the roof and jumped to the next. Soon she was right over the two. She looked down and realized she knew one of them. She popped her head down, "hi Tera."

"Damn it Erina, you almost gave me a heart attack!" She screamed.

Erina jumped down, "sorry, but I see you have gotten into trouble again."

Tera looked smug, "only in trouble if you get caught."

"I am glad I ran into you Tera, I need information and I need it now."

Tera smiled, "Sure for the right price."

"I am not paying you a cent, you owe me big."

"What do I owe you?"

Erina laughed, "well, there is all you have stolen from me and need I bring up the Noodle incident?"

Tera went white, "fine, what do you want to know?"

"What do you know about a spy in the resistance and what about the guards recruiting?"

Tera looked nervous, "with all the things I steal, I do hear things. A while ago I heard the four generals talking about them needing more guards. That they were organizing some kind of raid. A big one. And it was happening on the 26th. That is in six days. That's all I have heard."

Erina smiled, "thanks Tera." Erina turned away, "Tera, give me back my wallet."

She then suddenly rounds the corner and stumbles over the two she's been looking for, sending the male to the ground with her and nearly dragging down the girl too. Her hood then flips back and she turns to face them both her eyes shifting from their soft blue to a stunning emerald green. She curses under her breath at her discovery then stands dusting herself off. "Well what you plan on doing cause I heard everything you know", she smirks crossing her arms as she awaits an answer.

Tara

Just when Tara thought they had out run the guards, one of them came fast around the corner and slammed into Theo. He crashed to the ground and nearly took Tara down with him, but she managed to regain her balance. Tara turned and got in a stance that showed she was ready for anything, but the guard pulled down her hood and revealed herself. ""Well what do you plan on doing? 'Cause I heard everything you know," she smirked and crossed her arms.

Tara already didn't like her, but there was something vaguely familiar about her.

Suddenly Theo stood up and started talking, "Ok, what is going on here? Spy? Resistance? Raid? Somebody better start talking because I am so confused."

Tara sighed. This was not her day. Her eyes wandered to the roof tops and she wondered if she should just make a dash for it. Slip away. She could probably do it but-

She looked at the girl and it suddenly clicked, the familiar face made sense. "You're the one I met in 'Xauntana." She said with a smirk. As she recalled, Tara had tried to steal something from Lilith (for she remembered her name) but Lilith had seen it coming and managed to over power her and send her to jail. But when Tara broke away from her shabby cell, she repayed the favor by stealing Lilith's horse.

"That doesn't help at all." Theo said, brushing of his pants.

Tara ignored him. "Oh yeah, I sold your horse a while back," she taunted.

Lililth clenched her fists and Tara made sure to take a step back, she remembered Lilith's aggressiveness from their first fight. The tension in the air was incredibly thick and Tara was sure that a punch would have been thrown if Erina hadn't returned just then and frantically yelled down, "Tara, come here! You need to see this. It's not good."

Thankful to be able to ignore a fist fight, Tara quickly swung up to the roof and was annoyed to see Lililth and Theo scramble up behind her. They followed Erina and layed down at the top of the Baker's roof (Tara made sure she was as far away from Lilith as possible). When she looked down below, Tara gasped.

Spoiler
Ok so I don't care what they see, but it should be something bad. A huge band of Soldiers, maybe someone declaring that there is a new rule the states that anyone involved in the masked resistance will be instantly hanged, or maybe they've captured a member of the masked resistance. I don't care, do what you want :)

Also, Demora, I'm thinking Lililth and Tara could be rivals during the SB, it'd add a little fun spice to it.

Theo

~"Well excuse me if don't study towntown theives." Theo said

"Touche'" Tara replied

The a man burst into the tavern. He had glasses and he didn't look very happy. Theo ignored him asheI put the finishing touches to the dispenser. Suddenly as he finished, Tara stiffened and said

"Uh oh, that's my cue. Time to go!"

She grabbed his hand and started pulling him to the window. He stopped, making her stop too.

"Let go of me! I didn't do anything," Theo frantically whispered. Why the heck was she pulling himalong with her?

"There they are! She's the one that took it from me!" The cry sounded through out the Tavern. Tara paled a bit.

"Too late. They won't listen to reason. Are you coming or not?!" Tara released his hand and jumped out the window. Theo turned and saw the whole group of gaurds coming at him.

"Damn you . . ." Theo whispered as he searched through his pockets until he found what he was looking for. He took out a few flash bombs as he turned to jump out the window. As he did, he pressed the button on the bombs and placed them on the windowsill.

He made it a few steps down the alley before the gaurds got to the window. *Crack* *Crack* *Crack* Theo sighed in admiration of his work. They worked perfectly. That should buy us a few minutes.

Theo looked around for any traces of Tara. He saw the tips of her black hair at swing around the edge of the alley. Before he followed, Theo checked his dampener. Still in the green. He hoped it would stay that way.

He ran out of the alley into the enormous crowd. It took a moment before he spotted her. He went through the crowds, trying not to touch anyone before he finally caught up to her.

The gaurds were getting farther and farther away until they lost them. Tara suddenly turned into an alley and pulled Theo along with her. They both stopped, catching their breath.

"Care. . .to explain. . .what that. . .was about?" Theo said, panting heavily. It had been awhile since he's had to run like that.

Tara shrugged "I stole someones things and they called the gaurds." She laughed a bit "that's how it works."

Theo shook his head "Imagine, someone being upset at a theif for taking their stuf." They both laughed a little.

Then someone Theo didn't recognize popped her head down from on top of the roof above them.

"Hi Tera." the girl said.

"Damn it Erina, you almost gave me a heart attack!" She screamed.

The girl, Erina, jumped down, "Sorry, but I see you have gotten into trouble again."

Tara looked smug, "Only in trouble if you get caught."

"I am glad I ran into you Tera, I need information and I need it now."

Tara smiled, "Sure for the right price." Ofcourse, Theo thought.

"I am not paying you a cent, you owe me big."

"What do I owe you?"

Erina laughed, "Well, there is all you have stolen from me and need I bring up the Noodle incident?"

Tera went white, "Fine, what do you want to know?"

What's the Noodle incident? Theo thought It must have been really bad if it made Tara agree to not getting payed.

"What do you know about a spy in the resistance and what about the guards recruiting?" Erina said.

I mean, how bad an incident can it be if it's about noodles? Theo stopped for a moment. Resistance? Tara's part of the Resistance?

Tera looked nervous, "With all the things I steal, I do hear things. A while ago I heard the four generals talking about them needing more guards. That they were organizing some kind of raid. A big one. And it was happening on the 26th. That is in six days. That's all I have heard."

Erina smiled, "Thanks Tera." she turned away, "Tera, give me back my wallet."

Reluctantly, Tara gave back the wallet. The girl Erina turned around the corner and left.

There was a few moments of silence before Theo broke it.

"Ok, I have a few questions" He said with a little anger and fustration at the whole ordeal "One, you're part of the Resistance?"

Before she could anwser he kept talking

"Well obviously you're on good terms with them. Why? No, forget that." He started pacing a bit. Running his hands through his hair. "What the heck am I supposed to do now?! I'm probably a wanted too now! An acomplice to the amazing Nitefox."

He shook his head "I came into this city only cause someone had a job. One job. And now that I think about it, I didn't even get paid! Not to mention I had to use some of my flash bombs. They worked amazingly." He laughed a bit, exaughsted. There were a few moments of silence

He stopped pacing and looked at her "Why did you take me with you? I probably would have been fine back there, so why did you pull me into this?"

Before she could reply another girl ran into the alley and fell, knocking down Theo and almost bringing down Tara too. Theo immedietly got to his feet, the day's adrenaline still going through him.

The girl's hood fell back as she looked at them. Her blue eyes turned green in a flash. She cursed a bit then dusted herself off.

"Well what you plan on doing cause I heard everything you know." The girl crossed her arms and waited for an answer.

Garnet

I grabbed Kiran's hand and dragged him along he complains and whines as I do, I just wished he'd stop, he was being so selfish we were children of a king and yet he wanted to act like some commoner on the streets. Sooner or later he was going to be killed, and even as amusing as that sounds even I was afraid of losing my brother if anything were to happen. But sooner or later one of us had to succeed father and take to the throne with a husband or wife, I did remember at one point how father had told me he wanted grandchildren. I was not to complain with that, I did one day want children of my own, but I was yet to decide a husband since father was rather protective of his throne.

When we finally got to the yard in which the bodies of the three dead generals lie dead. I finally let go of my brother as I turn to look at him only to see him rubbing his wrist, as I soon turn back to examine the bodies once more.

"You know I already examined these three earlier." He said.

"And? Father's orders are orders, children or not. And he wanted us to the job, we don't get chances this often to actually help out unless its to go to one of his stupid meetings with his minsters, and even then there boring." I said.

"Yea that's what you get for being a stupid royal snob." He replied.

I didn't say anything last thing I wanted was another fight with my brother, he annoyed me so bad it wasn't even funny. I rechecked the evidence as a silence fell between us for awhile, I finally took a deep breath remembering Erina one of my brothers friends acting strange. I didn't look back to him as I didn't want to look at him right now, last thing I wanted.

"Kiran, next time you see Erina, I want guards to place her in custody on suspicions of assassinating the generals." I said.

I waited a few seconds for a reply, but then the seconds turned into minutes as I began to wonder why he wasn't responding. I stood and turned back to him except, he wasn't there. I pinched the bridge of my noes as I was growing tired of him sneaking off unexpectedly like this. For once I just wanted my brother to be normal for once, and maybe father wouldn't have such an annoyed expression all the time. I stood tiredly as I made my way back into the castle, my brother being another great annoyance it was time to report to father with my findings and suspicions. Yet another night of the Masked Resistance went by of them walking free, we did know why they appear and do not understand what my father tries to do. I made my way into the castle in hopes of finding my father.

Deliah

I answered the knock at the door. There stood a boy. Before I could say much Father came to the door. He asked me to go break up my siblings in the other room. I walked away trying to keep my ears pricked for bits of conversation. I began to pull apart the knot of children who were begining to get to rowdy. For every few I pulled apart there seemed to be another few picking yet another fight. I told them to sit down for dinner and began to fill bowls. Father came into the kitchen and told me he had to leave but to save him some food. He seemed upset that he had to leave just as dinner was getting done.

I felt flustered but being in charge of all the children wasn't unusual. We got through dinner with minimal issues. Though for a moment it seemed they'd start throwing food at each other. When dinner was it was time for bed. I gave them each a hug and tucked them in. After several glasses of water they finally went to sleep.

It seemed like it had been forever since I brushed up on fight tactics. I went to my bed and reached under. I pulled out 2 knives and a staff. I worked until i was dripping with sweat and my whole body hurt. I was tired but I sat on the window sill to wait for father. I did my best to keep my eyes open but soon fell asleep.

Gwendolyn E. | Home to MR HQ

After tending my lazy,, disobedient trees, I went inside and began the brewing process with some of the apples that were already read. I crushed, blended, and de-pulped the juice, and then put some sugar into the jar. Then I shook it and left it out to distill over night. I marked the lid with a special symbol so I'd recognise it in the morning, and went over to the regular apple cider. I drank a little of that, and sat down with a book.

The book was a long one. It was about a successful country pony that had actually made it in the city. I got lost in it for a while, and then looked at one of those fancy new clock thing-a-majigs. "Crud, I was s'possed to report in right now! I hope he doesn't get mad at me, it HAS been a long day..." I said, grabbing my gear and putting it into a rucksack. I slung that over my shoulder, and hoofed it. It was a long way bake to the HQ, so I had plenty of time to think. But, all I could really think about was how late I was, and an acceptable excuse for the lateness. Not a good sign, I thought, when I stopped, realising I was in front of Morgan's house.

Morgan Darkrai | The Main Hideout

I wandered amongst my fellow rebels, often greeted by them as the Metal Master, Darkrai, or Bladesmith. It was no surprise to me that I was called the Metal Master among the Resistance. I was a master of bladesmithing - the Darkrai family trade - by all possible means, so I wore the title with pride. However, deep in the depths of my being, I was severely mad at Mercury.
Although he was technically my leader, it never seemed to cross his mad-striken mind that he kept calling me for duty at the wrong time of night. It was always before I could get even one bite of my dinner. The only meal I ever seem to spend with my little family is breakfast and it wasn't fair to me and Deliah that I didn't get to have dinner with my family like I used to. One of these days I would have to make it clear to Mercury that unless the urgent summoning had involved me going for recon or any other action-packed stealth mission, I was going to take the night off and spend dinner with my children instead of going on duty on an empty stomach like always. The least Mercury could've done was think on what time it was before calling me in for duty.
I went to an empty room and whistled for Nemesis. "If I ever get called for duty when it's time to have dinner, freeze my door and keep me in the cottage for two days on end. Mercury should've known that I was about to have my dinner when he called me for duty. I can't stand being called on duty when it's my dinner time."
Nemesis breathed on me, sending a cold breeze on my neck. Master, your anger will be your downfall one of these days. Your leader will soon realize that calling upon you at this time of night is a mistake, but for now duty is on the prowl.
I rolled my eyes. "Duty, my eye. I was pulled out of dinner for a message someone else could've given me instead of Mercury himself. I've had it with his constant invitations to my stead when I should've been helping Deliah tuck in the other children after dinner. If he needs me around this place, it better be when he has something worth my time instead of yanking me out of my dinner time for some damn message." I made sure my mask and stealthy suit were on properly, then went back to my cottage in spite of the protests of other fellow rebels.
The minute I got into my cottage, Deliah hugged me. She looked tired, so I carried her to her room and tucked her in. While she and the others were asleep, I ate my dinner alone. It was cold, like all the dinner meals I've eaten when I got home. I wanted to have a hot dinner with my family, but with Mercury stealing me away I never got the chance. Once I was done with my cold dinner, I quietly strolled around the cottage. I was in no mood for duty. I was so mad, I couldn't even sleep.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.

Gwendolyn E. | Morgan's Cottage

I saw him go in, but I guess he didn't see me at all. I really was thankful for the job he'd given me. I had a few jars of apple cider in my bag. Those three coins were probably worth 10 jars and a satchel of apples, but I had to give it a try. I walked up to the door and hesitated. I was already late to my check-in, maybe I should keep going... I started walking away, and cursed myself. You are not chickening out. I took out the jars of apple cider and studied them carefully. I needed to make sure they were of the highest quality.

I then stood up with the jars in my arm, and knocked on the door. It rung faintly, like it's insides were metal. I was standing there wondering if this was really such a good idea. A few seconds later, I heard a groan from inside, and saw a very angry looking Morgan open the door. "What?"

"I was wondering, sir," I said, trying very hard to sound city-like, and not sound nervous, "If ya'd like some cider, as a token of my thanks. I was just passin' by an' saw you enter yer house, so I thought I'd drop them off now, 'case I ferget tomorrow..."

Tara

"Well what we gonna do, we can't let them highness controlled abnormals keep draining all those people, unless you guys are fine with what they're doing then I've got business to do," Lililth said after seeing what was down below.

Tara wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Ok, first, there is no 'we'. Second, abnormals are just people like you and me. And third, stay out of the way and let the resistance handle it."

"Yeah, because I see that you guys are doing a good job," Lilith said, putting her hands on her hips. "You guys need me."

"Oh, there is no way that you-"

"Actually, we could use some help. Maybe we should bring her to Mercury and see what he thinks," Erina cut in.

Tara glared at her in unbelief. "No. Not happening."

"You guys look out!" Theo frantically whispered and they all quickly ducked their heads as a royal guard looked this way.

"Come on, we can't just stay up on this roof forever, arguing. Just take me to your head quarters," Lililth said after the guard turned away again. Tara didn't like, not one bit. She didn't trust her, but she turned to see what Erina's reply would be.

Kirby

I snuck out into the city while Garnet was examining the bodies. She could focus, I had to give her that, but sometimes she focused a little too much. I preferred a more balanced approach--focusing was fine, but you had to look around you once in a while. Never knew when someone was going to sneak up on you--or, in my sister's case, sneak away.

I walked through the city, coat pulled tightly around me, looking for Erina. She wouldn't be too hard to find--she had a few favorite spots, so I'd find her eventually.

There she was--talking to two other girls and a boy. I only caught the last part of her sentence. "...Bring her to Mercury and see what he thinks." Who was this Mercury?

"Erina," I hissed, trying to keep my voice down. "Erina!"

Mercury

A steaming Morgan leaves out the door, another rebel, a small girl with pigtails approaches me.

"You pulled the Metal Master from his family right before dinner, and you didn't get frozen? That's seriously messed up, you have no idea how lucky you are Mercury..." she sighs, and walks away.

I do a double take for a moment,

Maybe that wasn't the best move, I wonder what I can do to make it up to him. I think I'll find him a mission or something, but that will take some time.

I grab a tiny mechincal bird that I made, and gave it a little note that read:

"Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue,
I''m sorry I pulled you from dinner,
Tell me if there's anything I can do,
To make it up to you...."

And then I drew a little heart, and a tiny character that resembled me yelling sorry with a tiny box of chocolates.

"Bring this to Morgan..." I whispered, I kissed the tiny bird on the beak; transferring a tiny bit of electricity into it and bringing it to life. It flew away.

A few people stared at me,

"Get back to work!" I say, laughing.

I sit back down, wondering what our next move was gonna be...

Erina

Erina walked swiftly down the corridor that lead to Mercury's office. After Kirby appeared earlier, she did not feel like talking. He told her about the dead generals and how she was under suspicion. He said that he was ordered to bring her into custody. Erina wondered if there was a "but" some where in his statement but as soon as she heard custody she hit him over the head and knocked him out. She didn't hit him hard enough to do any damage; just enough to knock him out for an hour. She laid him on the side of the road and left swiftly with tears in her eyes.

Erina wondered if letting this Lilith join the resistance was the best idea. She knew that the resistance needed more members with dealing with all the abnormal's and all, but this girl seamed to be a bit much. The way Tera glared at her and the girls apparent desire to fight may conflict with some of the people in the resistance. Regardless, she lead the way to the headquarters to meet with Mercury.

.................................................................................................

Mercury looked to be busy behind his desk when Erina, Lilith, Tera, and the other boy walked threw the door.

Erina cleared her throat, "Mercury, are you busy?"

Mercury looked up, "not for you Erina what do you need? Ah, miss Tera what a surprise to see you again." Mercury winced and Erina wondered what Tera had done to him in the past.

"Sir," Erina spoke, "I think I may have you two new recruits."

Lilith stepped forward but the other boy began to panic.

Mercury / At HQ - about to have a little fun :D

Erina strolled through the large double doors on the HQ with two young people in her wake, a boy and a girl, and Tera...

"Mercury, are you busy?" she says.

I look up again, "Not for you Erina what do you need? Ah, miss Tera what a surprise to see you again." I wince a little, Tera and I had some words on a subject once. Hopefully it was behind her as much as it was behind me.

"Sir," Erina spoke, "I think I may have you two new recruits."

The girl steps forward, I vault over my table and land about two inches from her. I can just about smell her, she smells of roses. I smile widely,

I like roses...

The look on the girls face stoic and emotionless, her eyes are those of a killer. I lean the slightest bit closer to her, she doesn't move even slightly. I lean my head close to her ear and whisper slowly

"I can sense that you're strong, I see death, and blood, in your eyes. I can tell that you know how to kill, and it doesn't bother you. That's good, but I sense a darkness in you. Whether you use it in our favor is your choice, I'll watch for that." I sniff her, I smell something on her that I recognize.

Electricity, she's a dark lightning sorceress...

I look her over for a moment, touch her arm. A small spark awaits my touch, the tiniest of electric impulses, confirming my suspicion.

"Tell me something, sorceress. Are you afraid of me?" I say, my cold, dead eyes stare into her eyes, sharp and penetrating.

After what seems like the longest moment,

"No..."

I sigh, and smile again. I touch my hand to her shoulder. A steady steam of electricity flows between us, I can feel the electrical impulses in her body. I communicate a single sentence into her mind.

You my beautiful friend, will make a fine addition to the Resistance

I step back, maintaining my demeanor for a moment, I look behind her to the other boy. His face, unlike the girl, is that of panic. I motion a finger to tell him to come towards me. He trembles, and walks to stand next to the girl.

I do much the same to the boy, stand an inch from his face. I look him over, and whisper into his ear.

"Now you listen to me son, here in the Resistance, you're going to see things, and hear things, that may change you. They may drive you mad, they may even kill you. I'm going to be your leader, and if you doubt what I say, or think I'm joking, or disobey any order I give you, even once. I will end your life faster than it takes for you to blink, and then; I'll laugh. Are you okay with that?" he trembles for the slightest moment, I can only assume that was his attempt at a nod. I smile, the most devious smile I can manage. His face whitens.

"Splendid..." I whisper, and I shock him. Not enough to hurt him, just a sting on the arm. He flies back with a yell, I can tell I've frightened him

"Boo!" I say to him.

A slight giggle escapes from everyone. I ditch the scary face, and laugh along with everyone. I stroll over to Erina,

"You've brought me a couple of great additions to the Resistance Erina," I smile.

I turn to the girl,

"What's your name miss?" she nods,

"My name is Lilith Senka, sir." I shake her hand.

"No need to call me sir Lilith, call me Mercury..." I say.
