City by the Sea

Hayden

A wave crashes on me and sends me to to the shore. I lay on the sand, shaking from the chill of the water. Manage to sit up and bring my knees in and try to warm up. They are fighting with water and I do not know how. I rock back and forth, freaking out.

Fang

"Prepare to die!" I scream at them telepathically.

I sense out where they are in the sea and send Hydra heads out to attack them, the dashing along the waves keeps me informed on his posistion as I send head after head at him. The heads falter slightly as I felt the pressence of rebellious waves pushed against me but were soon silenced, I had finally hit the sea floor as I had gotten good handling. I breath deeply as I freeze the entire thing in place, the whole whirlpool freezes and crystalizes as I made my way up to surface, soon the hydra heads go slack and fall back into the ocean. When I got to the surface of the whirlpool I needed sometime to recover before I could fully enact my plan. I waited soon as the daughter of Poseidon comes to face me.

I shrug, "Got anything to drink? All that water is making me thirsty..."

Ada

The whirlpool soon freezes over and I freeze where I am, trying to figure out how to go from here. A few ideas come to mind, but nothing that I believe would do the trick. I use a wave to raise myself to her level and study her.

"Who are you?" I ask, in defensive mode.

Selena

I nod and walk do the fridge, pulling out a couple scotches, a few water bottles, and a bottle of wine, "Pick."

Fang

"I am Basing Fang, one of four lords that are slowly but surely destroying the world. No one can hope to defeat the four of us as we are the most powerful in the world, be silent demi-god as I shall soon unleash the power of this whirlpool and lay waste to the city it threatens." I said.

I stood in the middle of the frozen whirlpool as tthe frozen sides loomed all around me, I held out my hand to my side as I watched the demi-god from where I stood, Soon my spear of ice came to my hand as I readied for battle. I had to deal with this little pest before I could destroy the city.

"So are you just going to float there or are we going to fight?" I ask.

Hayden

The water turns to ice and the are talking to eah other. I can only make out a few word and most of them I would not like to hear. Destroy the city, gods, demi-god. I know I have to move now, so I get up and run. I begin to scream. "Please someone help. Please." I cry.

Mark

I smirk and take the wine, popping the cork off and taking a swig straight from the bottle, "Thank you."

Ada

I notice the spear in her hands and draw my own sword, listening to Hayden scream, "Make your move then."

Selena

I shrug, not getting anything, still on my cigarette, and blow smoke, "No problem."

Fang

"I don't have to do much, the longer you wait, the more energy I have. And soon I'll lay waste to the city, you with it. So try me daughter of Poseidon, so if you can handle this entire whirlpool in its true superpowered form." I said folding my arms keeping my spear in hand.

Hayden

No one come or even makes an effort to help. I know it is like two o'clock in the morning, but there must be someone up. I look to the motel across the street and see a light on. Not really thinking, I run to it beating on the door. “Please help. Please.” I shout.

The door opens and I sigh. “You have to help me. There are people down there fighting in a whirl pool. They are gods, but one is a demigod and she is the daughter of Poseidon.” I stop and realize how stupid I sound. “Please help me. I am telling the truth.” I beg the man and woman.

Mark

I study her a moment before someone starts pounding on the door. I leave Selena to answer it, removing my gun from my jacket just in case. A girl stands on the other side, begging us to help and telling us about gods and demigods.

Well, someone smoked the green cigarette....

Ada

I try to find a weakness, tune into my father for help. Nothing comes to mind, so I wait until the right moment.

Selena

What the...?

"Um..." I can tell she's younger than me, looks around fifteen, "Sweetheart, I have no idea what you're talking about," I take my cigarette from my mouth, "Come again?"

Hayden

I start to breathe hard again. “I was down at the beach and a whirl pool appeared, but someone was in it. Then my friend Ada came and told the person in the water that she and no authority here. A huge wave tossed me on the the shore and they started fight. The bad god, or whoever that was, talked about destroying the world and I do not know what to do.” I say to them. All they do is look at me like I am just a lost child, desperate for attention. “I am not crazy. I am telling the truth.” I say louder, trying to get them to listen.

Fang

"Well then, if you won't come to me. I'll simply come to you!" I yell.

I throw my spear at her, she barely dodges it. I soon form another in my hand. And tossed it, she dodges again as I form another this time I charge in for a round of physical attacks. I stab at her as she draws a sword, she blocks a few of my stabs with her sword. But I come back with a kick to her gut.

Mark

I slip my gun away and down a swig of the wine, shaking my head before showing myself, "Listen, honey, even if you were telling the truth, we couldn't help."

Ada

She makes the first move, throwing her spear at me. I barely dodge it and prepare for the next, dodging it as well. She forms a third and charges me, stabbing at me. I block each swipe with my sword until she kicks me in the stomach. Stumbling back a little, I draw more power from the sea and come back, turning on the offensive.
