Chris
When I woke up, I was in a queen bed under pink and white covers. The room was as large as my family room, and there's all this expensive stuff; a flat screen, stereo, mini fridge, a walk-in closet loaded with clothes. For a second a panic, not sure where the hell I am. Then I remembered passing out at the party because of some mystery drug in my drink. I fall back between the covers an roll over, only to bump into something warm. Squinting in the darkness, I realised it was Avery!
"Oh shit," I murmured, panicking again.
Did we have sex? I'd never admit it to the guys, but I was still a virgin and I really wanted my first time to be special. Being too drunk/ high to remember it, even if it was with a cool girl like Ave, was not what I was hoping for. I looked down and breathed a sigh of relief when I realised that I was wearing all of my clothes from last night, including my leather jacket and shoes. Avery stirred a minute before waking up.
"Oh, good morning Chris!" she yawned, stretching. She was in a T-shirt and black shorts.
"Morning," I said. "What happened last night?"
"You passed out and we carried you up to my room. Then I shut down the party," she said, getting out of bed. "You snore and talk in your sleep, you know."
I blushed a bit and laughed. "Sorry. Do you know what time it is?"
"About 6:15," she said, pointing to a clock on her dresser.
"Oh. Well, thanks for taking care of me," I said. "I appreciate it."
She shook her head. "No problem. Just be careful where you set your drink next time."
I nodded and headed out of her room, going downstairs and into the living room to find my phone. It was mashed between the seat cushions. Opening it, i saw that I had several missed phone calls and I had been spammed with messages. Remembering my mom, I checked through them all, but she hadn't called. She must've gone to bed early and assumed that I was coming home soon. A lot of them were from Lena and Josie though. I called Lena on my way out. She answered after two rings.
"Chris! Josie told me what happened, are you okay?" she said, her voice full of panic.
"I'm fine, I just slept it off," I said calmly.
"Good. What did you drink?"
"It was a Tornado, but someone slipped something in it," I said, starting up my car. "Listen, I'm heading home now to change and shower, so I'll talk to you when I'm there."
