I check the text that comes by from Vivienne and check it. I sigh. Man, I was enjoying this hot chocolate. I take a big gulp, and finish it off. "It's Vivienne. She says the assembly's almost over. Looks like we have to go back." I say, getting up.

Chris finishes his cinnamon tea and muffin. I pick up my back pack, and pay for the coffee's. Chris thanks me, and he picks out his keys again, and start up the engine as I slip into the passenger seat, closing the door.

I get another text from Vivienne. I speak up to Chris, "I think you better step on it. They're lining up to go back to their classes."

"Chill. The school's just around the corner. You better buckle up." he says,

He zooms off with the car, and my hair's blowing with the wind. I laugh, tying my hair back to a messy ponytail. We reach there in a few minutes, and I get out before the car gets parked.

"Be careful! You could loose a leg there!" he says.

"But I didn't!" I say back, winking and he gets out as we run into the school.

We're running down the hall, as everyone gives us stares. We hide back of a wall, and duck in through a line before Mrs. Morgan see's us. Thankfully, she didn't. I catch up with Vivienne, but I crash against a girl with light brown hair, tied to a ponytail. I get up, looking at the tall girl.

"Watch where you're going." she says, helping me up and looks at me. "Oh. It's you. Back?"

"Hey Josie." I say, giving her a hug. "Yes. Of course, Lena wouldn't dare to miss school. After all, I've got a name here."

"Sure you do." she said, grinning.

"So, grown a lot more athletic, is it?" I ask, nudging Josie as Vivienne comes up to me. Giving me a wave, she hurries off to class.

"Obviously." she says, winking.

Chris clears his throat and I realize he was beside me. How come I could be so stupid? "So, which class have you guys got first?" I ask.

Allen

Remind me to never attend an assembly again. It was freaking boring. It has great guts for a girl like Lena and a guy like Chris to sneak out, out of the assembly. I see them coming back, and I roll my eyes.

I stroll out to one of the sinks to fix my hair. My friends follow me, and I see a girl washing her face to get in some fresh air. I stare at her. Is she new? I haven't seen her anywhere. I decided to make my move.

"Hey." I say.

"Hi." she says, smiling.

"Are you new?" I ask.

She nods. I should have known. I grin, as I look down at her hair. Wow, now that's long. She suddenly see's me staring at it, and hides it away from my sight.

"No, it's okay. I love your hair." I say.

"Thanks." she replies.

"I'm Allen." I declare, extending a hand as she shakes it.

"Jane." she respond, smiling timidly.

So maybe this school wasn't that bad... I mean this guy seems nice. He was the first one to say even a word to me.

And he likes my hair.

Which is sweet. Never had that happen to me before.

"Um," I couldn't talk, the barf in my throat rose as I opened my mouth.

"Why don't I walk you to your class? I mean, since you're new you might not know this place very well." he said.

That was a horrible idea. I could throw up any second now. And I wouldn't want to ruin his Abercombie & Fitch clothes. God was he spoiled.

"What's your next class?" he asked.

He seemed real nice to even talk to me, but I couldn't handle it. All the times I've recovered from hangovers, all the times I felt sober. But today had to ruin my damn record... good I wasn't at Lincoln now, or else my Jumper reputation would defiantly be over.

"I think I'll be fine," I managed to blurt out, pretty quietly though. "But thanks anyway," I tried on a smile.

"Are you okay...? You look a bit green..." his face went pale.

My stomach rumbled and the next thing I knew, I was running.

William Franco

Walking out with Miss Sunshine's class, I knew today would be the start to an absolutely boring day. Unless Gregg and I stir up a little trouble. Talking about the devil...

My best friend, a ginger. Red hair as bright as fire. You could see him from a distance because of his freckles, they practically covered his whole face. Or was that the acne?

"Hey man!" he yelled down the hall.

Instead of lining up with the rest of us in 'an orderly fashion' he decided to take his own route.

"Gregg," we high-fived each other. "We need to get this year started. And the assembly is not what I was thinking." I said.

As we walked down the hall, turning a corner, I saw our celebrity of the school. The only person I most despised. The heartthrob of the school. Mister Allen Saravia. And he wasn't alone, as I expected.

He was talking to some girl I've never seen, she looked like she was gonna be sick. That's a plus.

I pulled out my schedule from my back pocket. "English, Room 148," I sighed. English was not my favorite subject.

"Me too," the new girl said, looking over at me.

"Chris," I held out my hand.

"Josie," she said, giving my hand a firm shake.

"I have Chemistry, Room 150," Lena announced, looking at her own schedule. "I'm just across the hall."

"Awwww man, I have Econ in Room 208!" Vivienne huffed. "That's all the way upstairs."

"Well, it looks like there's only one lunch period, so we can at least see each other for lunch," I said.

Luna

Luna had just rounded the corner to the cafeteria with her sister right beside her when I bumped into some one. I was about to apologize when I was interrupted.

"Watch where you're going, Wenchester." Darcie sneered.

Darcie Morning was her name. And it fits too. All she did was terrorize the kids here. But one thing was for sure. She didn't mess Lini or Luna because they don't take her crap. Before Luna realized what she was doing her hand shot out and she slammed her against the wall. Lini pulled wrapped an arm around Luna's waist and tugged.

"Leave now of forever hold the piece of bone from your nose that she'll break off if I let her go." Lini warned.

Darcie shot off and around the corner. Luna yanked away from Lini and turned to glare at her.

"Don't give me that look." she shook her head. "You know exactly what would've happened if it had gone any further."

Luna sighed and took a deep breath. "You're right. Thanks."

Lini walked up to me with a big smile on her face and threw an arm around her shoulder. "That's what sisters are for."

Luna threw an arm around her shoulder and smiled back. "That's what regular sisters are for. Now twin sisters are for spare parts, and that's what you're for."

Luna elbowed Lini in the side and they both busted out laughing. Lini's head turned slightly and she stopped laughing. Luna followed her line of sight to see two guys staring at them. Luna frowned. Tall, big, and muscled. Dark skin and shoulder length raven black hair. They were identical twins like them. Why were they watching us?

"Can we help you with something?" Lini called.

They turned and walked away. We both frowned.

"Hm," Lini's frown deepened. "that was weird."

Luna shrugged. "Eh,they're probably more transfers from Lincoln."

Lini stood there for a moment, staring where the guys had been and then shrugged in agreement. "Probably."

They both turned to head for the cafeteria.

Ugh my life. Mom woke up screaming her head off again right before i was about to leave for school and dad had already left for work. After calming mom down i trekked back up to my room to do my makeup again and stared at myself in the mirror for a bit. My eyes are bright emerald with annoyance from having to tend to my mother but it's not her fault that she's as my daddy likes to say " damaged". I love her but sometimes its just to much. I look back in the mirror and frown at myself. Ive become a more bright darkish caramel color this summer. The bright red highlights i put in my hair yesterday are complimented by my hairs own golden, natural highlights. I smile and my cheeks turn inward into my oh-so-adorable dimples. My boobs have gotten bigger and so has my tush. Even my waist has become smaller so now i have that " nice" hourglass figure that boys love oh so much.
I look pretty. Maybe even sexy. My chic denim mini skirt comes to mid-thigh that I know that Ms. Morgan will have a fit about. My tight sequined tank top leaves little to imagination and my usually fussy/ kinky hair is now straight and sleek. I wink to myself in the mirror and giggle. I slip on a cute pair of Steve Madden peep toe heels grab my gucci purse and rush downstairs. I get a cute decorated take-out cup from my cabinet and fill it with coke and vodka. The warmth that slips down my throat makes me feel lighter and all around better. I slip into my bright blue-green porsche daddy got me this summer and speed away towards school.
At a stoplight I see that badass Lena with some cute guy, obviously flirting and nod in approval. Stepping up Lena, definitely stepping it up. I speed off when the light turns green. My Galaxy 3S sings out the opening guitar solo of death by diamonds and pearls and I smile to myself.

" Hey Bitch" I greet my friend Linnie.

" Hey Ho!" she exclaims " Where the hell are you" She screeches in my ear.

"On my way." I say with a smile, lighting a menthol cigarette.

This is stupid. I mean, really. We didn't have any classes together! Of course, Chris and Josie did. Well, I had to go with it. Plus, Vivienne didn't have a single class with me except for drama. I sighed deeply.

"Kay, then. I'll catch up with you guys later. Bummer, Chemistry. After all the beautiful subjects alive on this planet, I got Chemistry!" I say, annoyed.

"We better get going now." Chris says, making his way to Room 148. "Bye."

"Bye..." I say, waving.

I'm looking at my schedule and I walk into class, with people giving me stares. Really. They need to stop that. I'm a human being, after all! I take a seat and start doodling on my book and on the desk. A guy comes and takes a seat beside me. I haven't seen him anywhere.

Mrs. Kylie, the Chemistry teacher hasn't come in yet, so I take out my sketch books, examining through my old drawings. I sure have gotten good through these years.

Allen

Jane runs out the auditorium. She looked green for a second there. I see William Franco from the corner of my eyes. We don't get along together too well, so I ignore him and walk away.

I bump into a girl, who seems to be talking to a friend on the phone, smoking. Man. Today was "bumping and meeting new girls day" for me. She looks at me with her dark green eyes. I see her on the floor, as I help her up.

"Dude! You ruined my cigarette!" she said, getting up and hitting my hand off.

"Oo. She's a tough one, huh?" one of friends comment.

"Shut up." I say, turning back to her. "Sorry about that."

She's wiping off the ashes fallen on her pretty skirt, and looks back at me. She fixes her long hair but not as long as Jane's though. I look through her eyes, but she doesn't seem to look at me.

"Whatever." she says. "You owe me a cigarette."

Jodie and I find two desks in the middle of the room and sit there. There were only a few students in the room.

"So, do you do any sports?" I asked casually, assuming it would be a good conversation starter. She seemed pretty athletic.

"Softball and baseball," she grinned. "What about you?"

"Swimming and water polo."

"Nice. I've never been much of a swimmer, but that's cool," she said.

"And I've never really been to a baseball game, but-"

"Wait a minute, you've never been to a baseball game? Like, not even a high school game?" she cut me off.

I shook my head. "Nope. My mom never really liked baseball and my dad wasn't really around long enough to take me to one."

Chris had never been to a baseball game? This called for an intervention.

"Alright," I said, beginning to dig through my backpack. "Please tell me you know who the Rockets are."

Chris laughed. "Yeah, I know who the Rockets are," he replied. "They're the local major league team."

"Thank you," I muttered. I reached further into my backpack. I had to have a Rockets game schedule in here somewhere, didn't I?

When I didn't find it, I looked back up at Chris. "Okay," I said. "Here's what we're going to do. You're going to find a few friends, I'm going to find a few friends, and we're all going to go to a Rockets game."

"Okay," Chris answered. "We'll have to work around my swimming schedule, though."

"Sure," I said. "That's fine. We should go before the end of September, though. Students get a discount on tickets for the rest of the month, so we can get really good seats."

Seriously things are already going wrong. I got cigarette ashes on my skirt from some random cute guy. Than after skipping first period trying to get the mark off Ms.Morgan decides to make my first day go from bad to worse by giving me detention. ON THE FIRST DAY. This seriously sucks dude. I'm walking down the hallway while Linnie chatters her butt off to me about all of the cute guys she's met today.

"So there's that weird guy Joey who went through some crazy transformation this summer. Now he's a total smexy." Linnie say's using our word to describe hot guys.

"Lin I do not care about that guy. I do not care about any of those guys you just mentioned. Truthfully I just want to find that guy who ruined my skirt." I exclaim to Linnie shaking my head.

Linnie tosses her thick blonde hair over her shoulder and frowns at me. "Ave, seriously whats been like up with you lately. Your always wasted but hate going to parties. You hate talking about cute guys. And your always to busy after school to hang out with me." Linnie says the last part with a pout.

" I'm sorry love...its just things at home have been so hectic.." I shake my head and begin walking to the parking lot.

" Where are you going Avery? We have class!" Linnie whines as i walk outside.

I shake my head again and keep on walking. I slowly walk to my car and get in. I then put my head on my steering wheel and just start sobbing.

"Sounds like fun," I said, grinning.

The teacher walked in at that moment and class began, leaving us too busy to talk. When class ended, we met Lena outside.

"Alright, what do you guys have now?" she asked, checking her schedule.

"Ugh, Statistics," Josie made a face.

"I have Weight Lifting," I sighed. Every year I took it because coach recommended it, and while it helped build muscle, it was extremely boring.

"Here, let's exchange numbers so we can find each other later," Josie suggested, handing me her phone.

We passed each other our phones, typing in numbers before the warning bell rang.

"I guess I'll catch up with you guys at lunch then," Lena said, waving and heading upstairs to class.

Josie and I said goodbye and headed opposite ways to class. I went outside so that I could enter the class from the back, when I heard someone behind me. Turning around, I saw a girl hurriedly running down the stairs, head down, not paying me any attention. I watched as she quickly unlocked her car, threw open the door, and slammed it shut before leaning against the steering wheel and sobbing. I went up to the car and gently tapped on the window, causing the girl to jump.

"W-What do you want?" she asked, wiping her eyes quickly.

"I just wanted to see if you're okay," I said. "You seem upset. Is everything alright?"

After standing over the toilet for about five minutes, nothing came out of my mouth. So, I guess I didn't have to throw up. Then why did my stomach churn? Why was my heart beating that quickly? And in front of a cute guy.

I never could make a good impression... like I wanted to today anyway.

Walking out of the bathroom, I pulled my hair up into a messy bun. The halls were empty, the white walls feeling a bit claustrophobic. I started walking, well rather searching, for my next class. Journalism in room 249.

But I want to apologize to Allen first. I mean, I ran off and luckily didn't barf on him.

Me apologizing? Unlikely. Why would I apologize? I feel bad I guess, I don't know. I need to clear my conciseness. At least my head stopped hurting. And stomach felt better.

Wow, drama much already? God, there are guys fighting and kicking each other on the butt, girls screaming on top of their voices. Sheesh, can't people live life through peace? And, having to stay back after school couldn't suck more. Its practice all day!

I'm walking across the hall as I see that same girl I got ashes on, on her skirt. I see her running back outside and straight to the door. I don't get it. First, it was the bumping into new girls thing. Then, girls running away from me.

I decided to follow her and see what was wrong. As I go outside, I see her in the car, sobbing and Chris leaning against her car. That guy. He's flirting with too many people. I jog up to them.

"Hey." I say, looking at her. I didn't seem to get her name after that incident.

"Oh." Chris says, frowning slightly. I look at him back, and grin.

"What's wrong?" I ask her, concerned.

"N-Nothing." she says, smiling now. She gets out of the car.

"Oookaay. I guess you're all happy now." Chris says, looking at her and then to me.

I shrug. "I didn't get your name before. I'm Allen."

"Ave." she says, a lot more happier now.

O.o Woah, posts. Mine is a bit of a catch-up.

Emmett Lopez

"Are you sure you know where you're going?"

Lacey sighed, flipping a dark curl over her shoulder. "Of course. I'm not an idiot." She lowered her voice. "Besides, it just looks like I gained a bit of weight. It's not like anyone can tell."

I rolled my eyes. We were at the assembly, in a corner of the room so we could talk without being interrupted. "Not forever. You can't hide it forever."

"I can sure as hell try, at least until I get an ab-"

"Mom's not gonna let you, and neither is Dad when he finds out. Neither will I."

Lacey bit her lip, anger seeping from her into a deflated hopelessness. "I... I just don't know what to do."

I hugged her as the peppy principal dismissed us. And you think I do? "Just fake it, Lace. Just fake it."

She shrugged. "Yeah, maybe." She pulled away. "Hey, I got to go. I see Emily over there." Getting up without saying anymore, she jogged over- probably not good for that fetus inside her, but whatever- to her best friend. The two girls squealed, hugging each other.

I sighed, running a hand through my dark hair. Lacey, what am I going to do with you? Getting my head of my even-more-frusturating-than-myself sister, I glanced down at my schedule. AP Biology. Good fun.

XxXxXxXxXxXx

Exiting AP Biology- a good hour of terrible Biology jokes by a lunatic teacher who think he's smarter than Albert Einstein- I consider going to look for Lacey. I kinda wish I could, but she's been on edge with me lately. Okay, maybe I'm getting a little bit over protective- but really, who wouldn't? She worries me. That's all. I'm not obsessive over it or anything.

Okay, next class. AP Physics- fantastic!- Room 248. The halls seem strangely empty as I walk down them- did I really spend that long arguing with the teacher after class?- and I'm hoping that I'm not late. Physics would seriously be the only class I would actually really care about making a good impression. Honestly.

Suddenly, there's a girl in the hallway. She looks frantic and awkward. Remembering what my Mother said about still trying and being a gentlemen, I walk up behind her with a; "Hello."

Girl's meant to be Jane; Emmett is going to a class right next to her. Can be someone else thought, I 'spose.
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

---The Book Thief---

Things were turning better I guess. I mean how are things not good when you have two mega cute guys that wanna help out. Sadly one of the two guys I reckognized as the guy Lena had been flirting with. I mean I'm a bitch but not a man stealing bitch. And I could've sworn that the guy Allen had been flirting with some average looking girl with seriously long hair. As I'm sitting in class my shoulders slump and suddenly I feel alone again. I take a huge sip of my vodka and coke mix and burp a little. The teacher looks at me and frowns and I shoot a small smile to him and look back at the crap we're going over. I pull a red streak from my head and begin twisting it around my finger.
God I want a boyfriend. Just a nice cute guy who I can tell everything to. I sigh and slump my head down. Like that will ever happen.

She seemed to cheer up quickly, so I head into my class. Coach Titus never even noticed I was late. Either that or he didn't care. I looked around and sighed. The usual skinny freshmen and beefy dudes were in class. I saw my friend Nathaniel from swim team though, and I waved at him. I took the machine next to him, set it to the right amount and started lifting weights.

"Where have you been man?" he asked, breathing deeply through his nose. "First you don't go to the assembly, now you're late to class."

I shrugged. "I just met a few new people."

"Oh ho, has Gills found himself a girlfriend already?" he waggled his eyebrows at me. "A nice little mermaid, perhaps?"

I laughed. "All you think about is girls!"

"You met some guys then?"

"Well, no, they were all girls, but it's no big deal," I chuckled sheepishly.

"Switch machines!" Coach Titus boomed.

We scooted over one to the left.

"Alright, what happened with these girls then," he said, suspicion in his voice.

"I helped out a girl before class and I ditched the assembly with this girl named Lena-" his eyebrows raised. "We just went out for coffee!"

"Mhmmmm," he teased, hiding a smirk.

I sighed. "I'm not telling you anymore when your mind's in the gutter."

"I'm sorry," he said, giving me a friendly sock on the arm. "Are we on for lunch?"

"Actually I'm meeting Lena, Vivienne, and Josie for lunch," I said. "Sorry."

He shook his head. "Ladies man McKenzie."

"Definitely," I rolled my eyes.

*****

We walked down the hall after class, joking and laughing.

"What class do you have next?" he asked.

"Drama," I said. "My counselor put me in there."

"Bummer dude," he said, making a face. "Later."

"Later," I said, walking into the theatre. I saw Lena and Vivienne sitting there already, their backs to me. I snuck up on them both before tapping them on the shoulders.
