"They are," I agreed. I immediately started looking for the North Star, but then remembered that I didn't have to navigate tonight.

"Do you know any constellations?" I asked.

"I know the Big Dipper," Lindsey replied.

"Ah, a classic," I commented. "That's over to the left a ways. We can't really see it that well from here...we can see Scorpius, though. It's that S-shape, right near the horizon. Pretty pattern, not such a pretty picture." Lindsey laughed a little.

"Sagittarius is over there, too," I continued, pointing out the teapot asterism. "Most people see a teapot, but it's really an archer. I actually have trouble seeing the teapot. Looks more like a lopsided heart to me." I traced out the heart shape with my finger.

I laugh and point. “I see it. I am very impressed that you know these.” I say.

“Do you know any others ones?” he asks laughing,

“Yes, the little dipper.” I say. I look up and then back to Will. “Not really impressive, I know. I just never took the time to learn them.”

He leans his head to look at me. His eyes are a deep blue. I have not noticed before. I smile and realize I was staring at him. I turn and look back to the sky. I can feel his eyes still watching me. It gives me a chills and a tingling feeling.

"The Little Dipper," I commented. "That is impressive, actually. The Little Dipper's really hard to find." Lindsey smiled, and then looked back at the sky.

"Aren't you cold?" I asked. Lindsey was only wearing a tank top. "Here, have a jacket." I tossed her my fleece. "Just don't drop it in the water. Officer Halley dropped my coat in the water a few months ago, and I had to go around in a different uniform top for the rest of the trip." Lindsey laughed.

"Okay," she said, pointing at the sky again. "What's that one?"

"That's Cygnus the Swan," I answered. "That one's part of the Summer Triangle." I noticed a cloud drifting over the constellation, and frowned. The air felt strange tonight.

"What's up?" Lindsey asked. She has pulled my jacket around her, and was tilting her head to the side, like a bird. I couldn't help smiling at her.

"It's nothing," I replied. "Just strange weather, that's all. Reminds me of when Mockingbird I went down. ...I'm probably being paranoid...I just don't want to have to do that again."

“I would be too.” I say. “It is hard to get over something like that.” I say. I turn over to look at him and he turns his head to look at me.

Moments later, it starts to pour. Will and I get up and begin to run inside. The deck is so slippery. My feet begin to slide and I grab onto Will, trying to stay up. I end up landing on top of him, my head on his chest.

I manage to stand up, laughing. I grab his hand and pull him up. He puts his arms around me and I put mine around him, trying to stay balanced. We get inside and we are soaking wet. We close the door and laugh there heads off. We slide down the wall and sit together.

"See?" I said, trying to suppress my laughter. "Told you it was going to rain."

"Yeah, yeah," Lindsey said as she wrung out her hair. "Go ahead and brag."

"Too bad," I remarked. "This is the best time to go swimming. No one's in the pool, you have the entire place to yourself..."

I watched as a big smile crept onto Lindsey's face. "Is it going to rain tomorrow?" she asked.

I thought for a moment. "No, I don't believe so..."

"In that case," Lindsey said, bumping me with her shoulder, "we can go swimming then. Right?"

"Right," I chuckled. "I never pass up the chance to go swimming."

"It's a date, then," Lindsey said. She leaned over and put her head on my shoulder, and watched the rain come down outside.

i ran outside and then upstairs to the control room , when i got there my father was there he saw i was panicking he asked me, “Whats rong hunny?” I replied with “ THE SHIP IS SCREWED “ he asked me “why?” , I replied again with “ the ships not built to handle a hurricane!!” .. 5 minutes later , he said “ WHAT?, A HURRICANE WERE?” . all I could do was point.

I ran over to the alarm button and pressed it , it went off and made all the passangers on deck go in , but I saw one kid still on deck , the hurricane got closer and closer , I ran down stairs onto the deck and ran towards the kid , I quickly picked him up and sat him on his feet and told him to go inside , I looked around to make sure know one else was on the deck , I saw will and Lindsey run inside , I turned around to see what the ship was faced against .

My head darts up off his shoulder, once the alarm sounds. “What's going on, are we okay?” I ask Will.

“That's just the alarm to get people inside. They do that when there is a bad storm, or a..” he trails off and gets up, pulling me with him.

“What Will?” I ask.

“A hurricane.” he says. “This ship is not designed to face a hurricane.”

I take a deep breath and try not to panic. “There are so mean things I wanted to do, so many places I wanted to go.” I mumble. I grip Will's hand. “There was a lot I wanted to tell you and we might not even get to go on our date.” I say, trying not to burst out in tears. Anyone can tell I have not been through this before.

“What did you want to tell me?” he asks.

“Well I was going to tell you how much I have enjoyed these last few days together and that I,” I begin. “Like you.”

Now that Lindsey had said she likes me out loud, I wasn't sure how to respond. "I like you, too," I replied, stumbling over my words a bit. "And I wish I could--"

I was halfway through my sentence when Officer Halley came tearing around a corner and ran straight into me. We both fell to the ground, the air knocked out of my lungs.

"Will!" Halley shouted, pulling me up roughly. "I know you're on vacation, but we need some help. Come on!" Halley grabbed my wrist and tugged me down the hall. I stumbled along behind him, but then looked back at Lindsey.

"Lindsey!" I called. "I'll be back soon! Find a safe room on the top deck and stay there! Don't go anywhere unless a crew member tells you to, okay? I'll be back soon, I promise!"

Spoiler
Taylor, feel free to have Lindsey not listen to him. He's not a very commanding figure. :)

I ran and found lindsey " LINDSEY INSIDE NOW NOW NOW " i pushed lindsey in the door and told her " go down as far as your allowed and stay down there you will be safer then on top deck , i gotta do now , i shut the door and locked it with my keys, i ran out to the front of the ship and held onto the rails , i stared out into the storm , i said to myself " what are we going to do??" , i ran up stairs into the controll room and ordered all the crew to go and lock the doors with them on the other side and stay down there, i pulled a lever which made the ship come to a slow stop , i pressed another button which dropped 4 anchors and locked them into place i turned a key which turned the engines off and made everything lock into place i locked all the windows in the control room and them locked the doors , i went down the stairs and started securring loose stuff down, once i had done that i hurried onto the balcony which was one of the highest points on the and also one of the weakest, before i went to go inside i made sure no one else was outside, i walked around outside for about 10 mins looking around, i ended back up at the front of the ship , i could see the hurricane getting closer, when i turned around i ran into will , we both fell over on the ground , he scrambled to his feet & then he helped me up , he stared of behind me and started to point , i was thinking : what is he staring at , then he ran away and went inside , i turned around to see a huge tsnuami wave with another boat in it coming straight for the ship. o.o

“And I wish I could,” Will starts, but is cut off by a crew member. I catch a glimpse of his name tag and it reads, “Officer Halley”

“Will! I know your on vacation, but we need help. Come on!” he say, pulling Will down the hall. I want to run after him, but Will calls before I do.

"Lindsey!" I called. "I'll be back soon! Find a safe room on the top deck and stay there! Don't go anywhere unless a crew member tells you to, okay? I'll be back soon, I promise!" Will shouts.

I nod and try to find a room, but Alysha finds me and pushing me out the door. She tells me to go down and locks the door behind me. I bang on it a few times and grunt at the fact that no one is coming. I begin to go find a room I can stay in. I begin to walk down the grand staircase.

All of a sudden, I feel a huge jolt, knocking me down the stairs. My head hits on of the stair, causing it to bleed. I grunt and place my hand over my head.

I pulled Alysha up, and we ran inside. "Alright," she said, panting from running. "I've never been in a tsunami before. What are you guys supposed to do?"

"I don't think we have tsunami protocol," I answered. I thought hard for a moment, and then snapped my fingers. "You know what?" I said. "If anyone knows what to do, it'll be your dad. You know where he is, right?"

"Yep," Alysha replied. "I'll go find him." Alysha turned and ran toward the bridge.

"Alright," I said to myself, mostly so I'd stay calm. "Now I have to find Lindsey." I started toward the midsection of the ship, but right away, I was cut off by a pack of passengers jogging down the hallway. I stopped, and motioned toward the stairway. "All passengers to the top deck, please," I said. But the passengers didn't listen. I frowned for a moment, and then growled to myself. I had forgotten--I wasn't in uniform.

I turned and ran toward the bridge. The captain had told me that my new uniform was stashed in the closet there. When I got there, the bridge was empty, except for the navigator. The captain must not have been there--hopefully Alysha found him already.

"Will!" the navigator exclaimed. "I thought you were on vacation."

"Not anymore," I chuckled. I opened the storage closet and grabbed my navy blue jacket and cap. The black pants I was wearing now would have to do for the rest of the uniform. I shrugged the jacket on and tugged the cap down over my hair. There we go--now people would listen.

I ran out of the bridge, and down the grand staircase. I was almost to the bottom, when I noticed someone sprawled out on the landing.

"Lindsey!" I shouted. I ran down the rest of the stairs, skipping every other one. Lindsey was clutching her head, and there was blood on her hand. I grabbed her arm and helped her sit up. "Come on," I coaxed, looping an arm around her waist. "We have to get up to the top deck. We're going to get wet, but it'll be safer up there."

Will puts his arms around my waist and tells me we need to get to the top deck and we are going to get wet. I do not object and we hurry to the top deck. People are panicking and screaming. Will and a few other crew members calm them down. I just notice that Will is in uniform. I almost forgot that he was taking a vacation.

I start to feel light headed and really cold. “Will I am not feeling to well.” I say sitting on the ground.

“Do not got to sleep, you might have a concussion.” He says.

I take my hand off my head, revealing my wound. “Does it look really bad?” I ask

I smiled at Lindsey, trying to take her mind off her head. "You don't want me to answer that question," I said. "Come on, stay awake."

I pulled Lindsey up again, being sure to keep her steady. "Don't try to walk," I instructed. "I'm just making sure you don't sleep. Here." I pulled a rag from my pocket and dabbed her head, wiping away most of the blood. "Now, this is going to look worse than it actually is," I said, watching her eyes drift toward the bloodstain. "Head wounds bleed a lot." I stuffed the rag back into my pocket and pulled Lindsey closer, trying to keep the cut out of view of the other passengers.

"Where are we?" Lindsey asked me. "I can't see that well."

"We're at the Captain's Cafe," I answered. "That's why it's so cold and windy." The Captain's Cafe was practically outside, the only shelter being a decorative overhanging ceiling. Rain pelted the ship, sending little waves of water skittering across the deck.

"That's bad, isn't it?" Lindsey asked, splashing the thin layer of water with her foot.

"No," I replied, trying to sound upbeat. "That's not a problem. We'll be fine."

Lindsey looked up at me, her eyes the most lucid they'd been since her fall. She could tell--she could tell I was lying.

I look at Will and tilt my head. “Will how are we ever suppose to have a relationship if you are lying to me?” I ask laughing, trying to hide how terrified I am. I get as close as I can to him. “Wait what were you going to tell me earlier? You got cut off.”

I looked down at my feet, the strain of another crisis finally getting to me. I took a deep breath and willed my voice not to shake as I spoke.

"Lindsey, I can't tell the truth," I said, dabbing her head with my rag again. "I can't let them panic."

"Is it really that bad?" Lindsey asked me. When I didn't answer, she reached up and tilted my face toward hers. "Tell me the truth," she ordered. "Are we going to be fine, or not?"

"I don't know," I answered. "The ship wasn't designed to handle a hurricane. We're at the mercy of the storm."

I looked out at the storm again. It was almost impossible to see through the driving rain, but at least I could tell the difference between the clouds and the water. The sea was choppy, so choppy that there was spray flying up over the railing. Then the dark gray of the ocean rose up, higher and higher--

I spun Lindsey toward the wall, and gave her the rag. "Keep this on your head. Saltwater stings, but keep the cut covered."

"Will, what's going on?" Lindsey asked, her alarm finally showing.

"Brace for impact!" I ordered, shouting to be heard over the wind. I wrapped my arms around Lindsey and shut my eyes tight. We were about to get very, very wet.
