Fidelis' words clawed, scratched and pounded in my heart, the crime I had done. The guilt of it made my heart and mind race, wanting to tell Fidelis that Alan, was dead. But didn't he was in enough pain as is and he didn't need anymore. I rubbed his back reassuringly as he was on the verge of crying again. I edged closer to him allowing him to cry on my shoulder if he so wished, no more words could help me at this point all I could do is be here for him. I moved again so I was up against him in hopes that something good will come of this.

Minutes pass by as I listened for Allan to call my name from outside the door, letting me know he came to hold me as I asked. An hour becomes two, then three and I still haven't heard him. The night was slowly dying, as was my hope of his return. I was forced to face an unbelievable and painsaking truth. He wasn't coming back. He's never coming home to hold me during my annual night of mourning, when I truly needed him most. Rivers of blood spilled from my eyes, my heart shattered in countless pieces too small for my hands to pick up and mend back together. He's never coming home for me. His letter said he loved me, but his absence in the moment I needed him most said he hated me. I shed so much blood, I soiled the shoulder of the vampiress' shirt. At least she was here to give me comfort, but I still longed for Allan's embrace.

I felt dawn about to break, my nocternal instict's began to kick in, I would not be safe here in the living room once it does. I throw Fidelis' arm over my shoulder and help him to his room, I place him down on his bed as my nocternal instict's were telling me to sleep Alan's dead by would soon be discovered and Fidelis would soon find out. I let him fall asleep on the bed as I go over to my spot on the wall, I place my back against it and slid down. Trying to hold awake for just a few more minutes.

I felt the dawn overpowering me, so I had no choice but to fall asleep. My dreams were fitful, not as pleasant as they were when Allan was in my arms. Even in my sleep, I shed blood from my eyes. I still wished he was back in my arms, holding me when I needed him most. Without him, the apartment just wasn't home. When I rose from my sleep, I still shed blood. My arms were empty without Allan. "Please, dear gods. Please bring him home to me. I need him in my arms." I went to the living room and just sat there in the couch, still hoping he would come back.

I wake and look around, I see that Fidelis is gone and I get up and stretch. I walk out and go into the living room and see Fidelis on the couch like always. I don't bother to sit down, I just lean against the wall and fold my arms after last night. The guilt had eased but was still heavy on me, I would one day have to tell Fidelis of my crime, so that he would know that Alan would never come back.

"My name is Delariva Des, a vampire and queen of a castle." I said for an introduction.

I looked at her, still broken from Allan's absence. "You already know me as Fidelis, but through the centuries I've given myself a last name to avoid suspesion. I call myself Fidelis Nemesis. It fairly suits me, since I act in retribution against mortals who are guilty. I'm the vampire King, as decreed by the vampire Queen herself."

"Mmmm that makes you all the more desireable, and I wonder if I could ever be deamed a queen vampire, maybe if I were to I dunno marry a king I would be." I said.

The idea made Fidelis cringe as if the thought pained him, I guess bringing it up wasn't the smartest idea, But I do love him myself. I walk over to the window and look out it seeing the neiborhood, not much to really go on about it. I held my hands behind my back trying to think of where to go from here.

I cringed at the mention of marriage. Just the thought of it seemed a little rushed. "Isn't it a little early to talk about that? I'm not really comfortable of having that big of a discussion at the moment. Not to mention it makes me feel a little rushed about it. Shouldn't we let that wait a while?"

I look down at my feet and knew he was right, the talk was a little rushed, but I dunno mixed thought's seemed to pain me. I think on what next to say, moment's seem like hour's before I finally said something.

"Well Fidelis, you have plenty of time to morun your second generation loss. But I can offer one thing if it makes you happy, being a king that you are you shouldn't have to live in appartment such as this. I have a castle sometime from here, if you accept, you will be welcomed, waited on, served and fed meals of you're choice. The servent's there are under contract to me and will serve you under my word." I said turning to him.

I stood up on my feet and went to the fridge to grab a small bag of blood. "As you already know, I once was of royal blood. To tell the truth, I didn't like that kind of life. How I managed to be as old as I am now is simple. I worked as a pottery merchant for the higher class and hunt during my free time. I'm quite used to serve myself and taking care of myself. I've spent almost five months taking care of Allan when he was mortal and almost two weeks teaching him everything I knew." Even with my back towards her, it would be obvious to her that I was on the verge of shedding blood. I struggled to compose myself as I slowly sucked from the bag. "But, if you insist on it, I'll move from here. However, I'm not wearing my Egyptain prince outfit in the castle all the time. I have a taste for modern fashions in clothes. You've seen me in jeans with a muscle shirt and leather vest. It's a little 'edgy' for one as old as me, but it goes wonderous with my natural bronze skin."

I raise my hand in understanding of his demands, as he comes back in the room with a bag of blood in hand and I smile.

"perfectly understandable, we do not wear uniform's or royal cloths unless truely nessarily need to and we haven't at all. I will make the arrangement's for a room to be made for you would you like anything special in you're room on you're arrival?" I ask taking out my phone.

I thought it over, then came to a conclusive decision. "Although I like modern fashion, I prefer to have a room that's almost close to the past as possible. A Vencian-style room suits me, since my pottery was paid at very high prices during the Renaissance era. Since you already know that I've spent most of my eternal lifetime as a potter, I could use a private pottery room with different kinds of clay to work with." I looked at Delariva, still holding the half-empty bag in my hands. "My mother was a pottery merchant before she married my father, so I have a gift for pottery. I know my own works at a glance."

I nod understanding and then flip open my phone and punch in the number to my servant Maria, a few ring's later she answer's, I tell her to make a Vencian- style room with clay and a rotter with. I'm sure Fidelis will want something to eat so I also included a criminal a young one for him to feed on, also mentioning a pottery room to be made ready before I get over there with Fidelis. I hang up and close my phone as I turn to Fidelis who was getting his thing's together.

"Preparation's should be done by time we get there, all tho you're Vencian- style room will take a little longer so I hope you don't plan on taking a nap right away." I said.

I put the last bit of my clothes in a suit case. "I only take a nap when I have nothing better to do." I sighed as I looked around. Seven years living alone in the apartment had taken its toll on me, almost refusing to let me leave without Allan. A part of me that was broken clung to the room and begged me to stay a little longer, pleading that Allan would come back to hold me like I asked him to last night. "I might need a minute or two alone, just to take in my last moment here." When I was sure she left, I sat down in front of my desk, took a piece of paper and some blue ink, and began writing with the quil.
Allan,
Why didn't you come when I needed you the most? When you didn't come, it felt like you hated me in spite of the letter you left behind. Your letter said you loved me, but your absence during the moment I needed you most said you hated me. I still long for your embrace. I miss it dearly.
By the time you find and started reading this, our bed would be empty. The apartment itself would lack both me and the vampiress Delariva. She insisted I move to her castle, myself being the vampire King and all, to respect my status as royalty. As I'm writing this, a part of me is begging me not to go and just wait for you to come back and hold me. That part of me was the part of my heart that you hurt when you left. Even now, I wish I'd hunt you down and ask you to come back. I needed you to hold me and comfort me on the night of my rebirth as a vampire. If only you'd come back when I needed you most. No matter where I go, I'm never home without you.
Fidelis

I left the note on the desk for him to find, if he ever came back. I capped the ink and put it and the quil in the suitcase with my clothes. Although I didn't want to leave, I had to if Allan was never coming back and I myself were to move on without him.

I leave the apartment, and head down stair's to bring my car around, I wait patiently by the entrance with my car when Fidelis finally comes out, I open the car door for him as he tosses his stuff in back. I start out and drive down the road, the drive was to silent for my taste so I decided to start up some conversation.

"Hey, if you two are truely ment to be together than maybe in ten or so year's he'll come a knocking and you two can head back to the apartment and have at it with you're relationship." I lied.

He still seemed unresponsive so I decided to touch up on a different subject and unbelievably I began to sing in my normal voice even tho I'm told by a few of my servant's that I sing like an angel. But I never really listened to them, my tune changed from baby song's to christmas song's to love songs that I humed only.
