Vampires and Slaves (Enter This Realm To Die)

Allan

I swallow at what Fidelis is saying, blinking back my emotion.

"I-I'm sorry," I whimper, cautiously heading to wrap my arms around him.

Fidelis

I felt him hold me, so I held him in return. Although in his arms, I was still shedding blood. "Please, don't hurt me like that. You know I still have my mortal emotions, therefore I have feelings. I don't want to be hurt like that again. I just don't."

Allan

I squeeze my eyes shut to keep from shedding blood too, holding him.

"I'm sorry," I repeat, "I won't do it again. I'm sorry."

Fidelis

I took his head off my shoulder and kissed his lips in spite of the blood I was shedding from my eyes. "You know I love you and nothing can change that. I promised your parents I'd take care of you and I intend to keep that promise. It would cut me to pieces at the deepest if you left me. It would take me centuries to heal from it if that happens. I don't want you to leave, after all we've been through together and when we a week shy of being together for five months."

Allan

He kisses me and I close my eyes, listening to what he says afterwards. I nod, swallowing before daring to speak.

"I-I love you too," I whisper, afraid to have admitted it.

Fidelis

I held him in my arms and bent my neck a little to expose my throat. "I know I've tasted your blood many times before I saved you. This time, have a taste of my own blood. Silver told me that I was the first of those with special blood. I offer you a taste of my blood."

Allan

He offers me his neck and wants me to drink from him.

"But... I thought..." I swallow back my confusion and bite into his neck, allowing his blood to fill my mouth.

Fidelis

I sighed as he fed from me. The feeling of being fed from was strange, but not at all harmful. When I tapped his shoulder, he unlatched from me. He had took so much from me, my legs could barely keep me standing. When my legs gave up, I leaned against him. He drank me until I was weak. Regardless of that, I looked at him and smiled weakly. "How did I taste to you?"

Allan

I don't know how to describe it, my whole body tingling as I drink from him. He taps on my shoulder and I detach, closing the wound off. His legs give out from under him and he leans against me. I catch him and lead him over to the bed to sit down as he smiles and asks how he tasted to me. I flash a smile back and have him sit, propping him up as I sit beside him.

"Indescribable," I answer, guilty for taking so much from him.

Fidelis

I patted his back. "Don't feel bad that you took so much from me. It happens to anyone who offers their blood freely. Besides, I'll regain the blood I lost while I take a nap." I laid down in bed. "You're welcome to join me if you want to."

Allan

I nod, not wanting to hurt him anymore. I lay at his side and hold him as he wanted, my head on his shoulder.

Fidelis

I kissed him again and slowly went to sleep, dozing off to recover the lost blood. Even to vampires, rest was good for the blood. As I laid there holding him in my arms, I began to drift on off into dreams. It was him and me in the country house again, this time with the vampiress helping us with a night garden. I smiled in my sleep. I always felt at home in a garden.

I kicked in the door as I dragged two unconceious people behind me, one male who looked pretty young and a female who was also pretty young. I set them both down on the couch and go off finding Fidelis and his mate in there room, wonderful I finally bring home the two and there asleep, just wonderful. I went back in the living room and fixed the door, soon afterword I sit across from the two mortals not falling asleep to get after them if there to wake up.

Allan

What I'm about to do... I feel my chest constricting at the very thought, sobs threatening to cascade out of me. I know things would never be as he imagined, as I imagined. Wouldn't he be happier with the vampiress anyway? He could have so much more... No mortal ties. No responsibility of teaching me anything. No nothing.

I kiss him once more as he sleeps, noticing a smile delicately placed across his lips. I silently slip out of his arms and take the note I wrote before he came into the bedroom. Setting it underneath his hand, I cover him with the bedsheets and kiss his forehead.

Shaking, I step out of the apartment and break out into a sprint, not wanting to tempt the thought of running straight back. Dawn is fast approaching, and I slip into another apartment complex and find a suitable place to spend my day. One of the girls from before stands in the hallway, making eye contact with me. I freeze in place, making my decision then and there.

Mine.

I pull her into her apartment, keeping her as calm as possible, and bite into her wrist, claiming her as Fidelis had claimed me. Close to crying again, I quickly take enough to send her into peaceful unconsciousness and set her on the couch. I cover her up and curl on the floor beside it, shedding blood as I feel half my heart left behind.

The other guy bolt's out the door not even noticing me or the food, I don't even bother with saying anything since he doesn't seem to like me very much. I get up and brushing myself off and go into Fidelis room, he slept peacefully ever so cute, I sit on the floor but up against the bed crossing my arms and placing my head in them waiting for Fidelis to wake, mourning was approaching fast. Wherever the other guy went he best be back before dawn or he's stuck out there, nothing much I could do.
