Christian

Christian and Aurora danced to the song in silence, his hands at her waist. Her hands around his neck. The two of them moved around the room, there movements so fluid and natural, as if they were floating an inch from the ground. A feeling of fire flooding his veins. Since the ordered turning of all the princes in the kingdom, Christian had never felt as alive.

Draco Pacis | Cottage Outside of Town

I removed myself from the chair and sat down on the bed, surrendering myself to meditation. My memory took me back to the first night I stole Sarah into the cottage. She was wearing a black shirt and matching jean pants that night, almost like she knew I was coming. It almost brought me to my knees seeing how her jeans made her look. Even with her long dark hair and moonlight skin, she looked like a vampire herself. When I set her on the bed, I demonstrated my power of memory reading and empathy. I made her laugh more than I made her cry. I always delighted me to hear her laugh. Before the night was over, I would carry her back to her home and make it look like she never left the house. Whenever I took her back to her home, she would kiss my forehead and thank me for giving her fun.
After Sarah's death and before the queen's death, I've lost a part of myself and had to think the same way Sarah did before I came into her life. After the queen's death, I was repeatedly rebuffed by the king who failed to listen to my reasoning. No matter. If the king wouldn't listen to my reasoning, then he won't need me for anything anymore. Even if he wanted me back, I would never go back. He refused my reasoning one last time, therefore ending my service to him and beginning my freedom.

John|In an Abandoned Cottage with Elvina|Evening

She is waking up at last! Finally! I thought, excitedly. I had finally come to the conclusion of not killing her. I had fallen for a human, and I had fallen hard. She was perfect.

Elvina|In an Abandoned Cottage with John|Evening

I started to wake up but I felt weird. Almost...calm and...safe. Almost! I didn't feel different at all! No feeling of blood-loss, or nausea or fear! I felt happy. I was with a vampire but I still felt safe. It was odd but nice at the same time. I felt happier then I had ever been in my entire life. I felt...good.

King Charles|Outside of town

I had walked all over town looking for any sign of Draco but I could not find one. I satrted to feel bad for waving him off earlier when he was only trying to tell me what I already knew was true. That this war was pointless. I fially came to an old cottage and could hear the whispers of my friend inside.
"Draco?" I called opening the door. "I understand that you are upset but that does not allow you to leave your duties at the castle." He sat on a bed staring out the window holding a picture of a human girl in his hand. He lookwed as if he was crying.
"Charles my old dear frind. I know it will not please you to hear this but I no longer wish to live a the castle." I was taken aback by his words.
"But Draco the castle is your home, don't be upsurd." He shook his head. Gettting up he came over to me and put one hand on my shoulder.
"No your highness it is your home, I do not wish to live in a world of war anymore. I am going to the preserve." By this point I was preety sure my mouth had dropped to the ground.
"What are you saying?"

Draco Pacis | Old Cottage Outside of Town

"I'm saying that I've overran my welcome among you and your offspring. Ever since I became of service to you, all I ever get was rebuffed by you the most. After you flared at me and brushed me off that last time, I've had it with you. If you can't listen to my reasoning, then I don't belong in the castle. My service to you is over." I left him there, not willing to go anywhere with him. As I ran as fast as my vampire speed could allow, I clung to Sarah's picture on my chest. Although I didn't want Christian to suffer the same way I still do, I knew I had to make myself scarce. I didn't want to go back to the castle. It just wasn't home as the cottage was when I fell for Sarah. To me, the castle was a prison than a home. If I ever had a home, it was supposed to be a place where I could be listened to and feel free as a wild bird. The castle was never like that since the queen perished. Instead of being free, I was caged with duties and very little time for myself. I didn't want to return to the cage. This wild bird was released and will stay free for eternity.

King Charles| Outside the Cottage

I watched as Draco ran off. I didn't chase him or even begin to. I let him go. He was right the castle wasn't his home anymore, it hadn't been for a long time. I ran back to my home, the only place I knew, the only place I could ever call home; because that is where she was. Her spirit at least stayed here. I sat down on what used to be our bed, but was just mine now. The room with its crimson walls and brown furniture. The bed with its black silk sheets even reminded me of her. My darling Olivia. As I layed back I wondered where my son was. It was getting late and he needed to come back and fufill his duties. Christian, I called to him mentally, come home now my son.

Aurora| Twilight Park

Christian and I had wanted some alone time so we left the club and had walked a few blocks down to Twilight Park. It was deserted save for a few vampire couples. They stared knowingly at Christian and by the looks on their faces I could tell that they thought he was going to drink from me. But Christian is nice he wouldn't do that would he? He is vampire Aurora, a voice inside of me said, given the chance he wouldn't think twice about drinking from you; just look at how your mother ended up. I winced at the jab about my mother and thoough about it. Christian had had the chance all night. He could have killed me if he wanted but he didn't. So... what did that mean?
"Aurora," He said shaking me lightly. "Are you all right I've been calling you for the last 3 minutes and 45 seconds." I snapped out of it and turned my attention back to him. he stroked my hand soothingly.
"I'm fine, I guess I just zoned out for a minute." I gave him a weak smile which he returned. "What were you saying?" I asked and he ducked his head nervously not looking at me while he talk.
"I was just saying that, this was the best night I've had in decades and it all because of you, so I was wondering..." He took a deep unneccesary breath and looked into my eyes. "Would you consider going on a date with me sometime?" My smile fell as the words left his mouth and it my next words pained me.
"I can't." Tears started to form in my eyes but I refused to cry. His smile faded and his eyes became sad. I slowly pulled my hands out of his and stood up to leave. I walked away from him as fast as I could but being a vampire he caught up with ,e a few seconds later.
"Why not? It would be just like it was tonight. I'd take you somewhere nice to dinner or maybe a movie if you'd like. I wouldn't hurt you I promise I-I..." His words where desperate and it tugged at my heart again. ""Please Aurora give me a chance... I need you." A lone tear escaped my eye and he gently brushed it away with his thumd his hand cupping my face.
"It's not that Chriastian, it's just that... we belong to two different worlds. Where would we go surely not out in public. I'm a rebel. Do you know what that would mean if we were seen together. What would happen if another rebel saw me with you, they would kill you and kick me out onto he street. My father would surely disown me. A vampire killed my mother, what would he say if he saw mw with you." The words tasted bile coming out but my mouth but it was the truth and deep inside, no matter the feelings for each other that were stirring inside us, we both knew it was true.
"I dont care," He said taking my hands in his. "Aurora I haven't felt alive in over a century but tonight I actually felt human. We can go somewhere safe nobody would have too know, it would just be you and me, please just say you'll go out with me." He was begging know and as I looked into his eyes I couldn't deny the chance to explore my feelings for him. So I said okay ad watched his face light up like a kid on Christmas. He picked me up and swung me around in the air. "Thank you Aurora, I promise I will not disappoint to." He leaned in to kiss me and I closed my eyes waiting to feel his soft lips on mine but I never did. When I opened my eyes his were closed in deep thought. When he opened thm again he looked sad.
"I have to go," he said and I nodded. He started to leave but I called out to him.
"When will I see you again?" He turned around and came back and took my face in his hands.
"Meet me here tomorrow, I'll wait for you bye the moonlight." Ever so gently he leaned towards me and brushed his lips against mine; and that's all it was a brush of the lips, a barely there kiss. "Goodnight Aurora." He said but I was still dazed, my whole body was on fore and I felt like I was on cloud 9. I finally snapped out of it and opened my eyes to say good bye but he was aready gone. I pressed my fingers to my lips as the fore inside me died out. Turing around I sighed and began the walk home.

*Sorry it so long, once I got started I couldn't stop.*

*No it was amazing.*

Christian / Back at the Castle

Christian walked whole-fully through the halls of the castle. He made his way past many servants. The gave him weird looks, most likely because he was smiling. Christian hadn't smiled in several years.

He changed his facial expression so as not to attract attention. He made his way to the dungeon. He found the cell that Aurora's father was kept in. He opened it up, he sat there, pale, tired.

"You!" he said loud enough for him to wake up. He looked at him. He was alone in the cell, so Christian stepped in. he turned on the light that hung from the ceiling of the tiny cell.

"You, you have a daughter. Correct?"

He stood up and pushed him up against the wall.

"What have you done with her you slimy bloodsucker?" his breath horrid.

He looked into his eyes longingly,

"I don't wish to harm you or your daughter. As a matter of fact, I intend to free you." he said

The look in his eyes changed drastically.

"Why would you do that?" he said, backing away slowly.

"Because I don't want anything more than to make her happy." he said.

They hatched a plan, he would take him and one more rebel to be personally "executed", then he would bring him to Aurora that night in Twilight Park.

They had only to wait for nightfall...

Brooklyn| walking back to castle.

I decided that it was no use, if Draco wanted to die out here, fine, for all I cared. I walked back to the castle and saw Christain in The dungeon and I walked next to him. "Don't think about doing that Christain, bad Idea." I smiled, "But I'll help
You, since your 'family'" I laughed.

"So, this is Aurora's daddy?" I asked smiling.

He nodded and I hatched an Idea.

"You need to get him to her."

What's the matter here? Isn't there a single female in this SB who would fell in love with Draco to ease his emotional suffering?

Draco Pacis | On the road

Once I was sure I was well out of town, I slowed down to a walk. I found myself entirely in the middle of nowhere, but at least I covered a lot of ground in very little time. I walked on until I found an old cottage- the same one I once lived in before I was turned. I went inside, then laid there in my old bed. All those nights I've spent in my mortal life trying to get laid only to find the girls I picked out were lesbians, those were the most wayward nights I ever had. After I was turned, I almost thought I lost everything. When I first met Sarah, my life turned for the better. She seemed to have seen the humanity I still had left in my vampire life, since she didn't turn away from me when she found out I was a vampire. Sarah was the only one who understood me and brave enough to speak her mind. Now that Sarah was buried for good, my life had turned for the worse once again.
"If only I had saved her," I murmured. "Then I wouldn't have to suffer so much hurt." With guilt flooding me, I went to sleep to try and calm down.

Brooklyn| walking out of castle

I was going to find Aurora, to tell her that her dad is safe and that we didn't hurt him. But then I saw a small Cottage in a field. Some place Draco would most likely be staying. I knocked on the door, "Draco? " I walked in and he looked really depressed he was trying to sleep, he was awake still. I sat next to him, "Look, I know how you feel. All the sorrow is building up on you and you need to let it go, trust me it works," I smiled. "Nothing changes but, all you need is just to get her out of your mind."

Draco Pacis | His old cottage

I stirred a little, but didn't open my eyes. "You don't know how I feel. You don't know what kind of sorrow I harbor and keep to myself. Why show sympathy to a deeply scarred vampire such as myself? Even if I want to let it go, a part of me refuses to forget the one I once loved. I try to let go, but can't because my long-deceased lover had touched me at such a degree a part of me refuses to let me set her free."
Brooklyn set her hand on my shoulder. "Just get it off your chest if it'll make you feel better."
I sighed, turned over on my back, then opened my eyes to stare at the ceiling. "Four decades ago, I was starving myself for killing an innocent child and afraid to face the king if I was found out. I went to a farmhouse in Michigan where I hoped to starve myself to death for what I've done. Just when I thought I was about to suffer from starvation, I was discovered by a rather bookish mortal girl who was wise for her age. She was eighteen years old and very pretty.
"When she accidentally poked herself with a tack, I couldn't stop myself from feeding from her finger. When I noticed she didn't shy away from me, I fell hard for her. Every other night since she found out I was a vampire, I stole her away to a different cottage and demonstrate my powers. To her, I was a special vampire. What kept me with her was that she kissed my forehead and thanked me for entertaining her. Not only did I entertain her, I became her student. She taught me how to think from the point of view of another, which she called seeing both sides of the coin. She taught me so well, I learned to use it as a way of reasoning with the king at this day and age.
"I was about to tell her that I love her when she was killed in a car accident. I was at the hospital when she died. Before she died, she told me she loved me. After that, she died in peace, but I couldn't let her go. She touched my heart at the deepest level, therefore I couldn't let her memory fade away from mine. I loved her so much, I could've turned her if I knew she was going to die in a car accident."
Brooklyn asked, "What was her name?"
I sighed. "Sarah. Her name was Sarah."

I felt sorry for the guy, considering I've gone through the same situation. I sighed. "Well, I had someone back when I was 15, I was human. He was a vampire, and I loved him. One day when I was asleep, he carried me to his place on the lake and we would swim, and he would make me laugh. But, he was just playing me. He was using me and he turned me into what I am now. He left me on the street. Then King Charles found me and well, brought me to the castle." I smiled. "We've all had to go through these times Draco. Yes, its hard but I got over it, I bet you can too." I stood up. And walked for the door when he grabbed me by the arm. I turned to him. He said, "Stay." I smiled.

Draco Pacis | His Cottage

I stopped Brooklyn from leaving. Her pain was almost like mine and I was too caught up in castle duties to know that until now. "Please stay with me. If you have the same pain I have, at least stay here and help me get Sarah off my mind. If you could help me get over Sarah, then I could do the same for you about the one who turned you." I sat up and pulled her towards me. Holding her in my arms, I calmed her with my empathy power and pressed my lips against hers. I almost felt alive and human again, the same way I felt when I was with Sarah.

He kissed me. I haven't felt more alive. I smiled. "Come back to the castle, King Charles is worried, please." I hugged him. I stood up. "I need to go back. " Walked towards the door and pushed it open, and started walking with my hands in my pockets.

I sat on my bed staring at the wall thinking of Christian. My lips still tingled with the feeling of his kiss and I couldn't wait to see him tomorrow night. Just then someone knocked on the door. "Come in," I called and Sophia came in, I sat up on my bed and smiled at her. "Hey." She looked at me knowingly.
"Don't 'hey' me where were you tonight everybody was worried. You stay out half the night and came in here all bubbly. What's up?" She said flopping down on my bed. Damn, I needed to be more casual if I was going to get away with seeing Christian from now on, I thought. I shook my head pretending to be clueless.
"I don't know what you are talking about Soph; I was just upset and I went to a club and did some hunting." I told her and she still looked skeptical.
"Then why didnt you invite me?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders and gave her an innocent sad puppy look.
"I dont know I guess I just wanted to be alone." I sighed and she put a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't worry girl we'll find Nicholas, it'll be okay." She pulled me into a hug and kissed my cheek before leaving.
I felt sad now I hadn't even thought of the fact that my father was still missing. He definitly would not approve of my seeing Christian. I curled up on my bed and hugged the teddy bear my father had gotten me for my 11th birthday. Five minutes later I was peacefully dreaming of Christian and wondering what he was doing.
