-Sheara

I finally started to feel a little less exposed in the big blob of shelter Davy provided. I looked at my underdress, it was just as filthy, if not more than my clothes. I decided to take it off so I could scrub the dirt out of it some, then planned to jump back into it as soon as possible. But just as I finished taking if off, the shadow disolved.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!" I shreicked. I looked towards shore. Davy was truning around! Luckily Poca, now the size of a small bear, slammed into him just as he was about to look in my direction. Poca pinned him to the ground by laying on his face and holding him there.
Before I could think, my hair stood straight up and then flattened, sending a watery ZAPP down my body and into the water.

"YOUCH!!" I yelped, losing my balance and falling into the water with a splash. I heard yells of suprise from down stream.

Oh crud! Not again...

"I-TOLD-YOU....NOT-TO PEEK-YOU-LITTLE...!!!" Poca screamed at him.

"No! I wasn't, I swear!! She screamed and I just...it was just natural to turn to see what was wrong!" Davy quickly explained.

"What-was wrong, hu? The-fact-that you...were "turning around-to-see"- is what...was-wrong!"

Poca snarled down at him, still covering his face with her body. I ran out of the river and dove into a very thick bush. It was a little pokey, but I was too freaked out to care. I franticly looked around for my clothes, then saw a little bundle of pink floating down the river. Poca had accidentaly scooped the dress from its resting place on shore and into the river when she ran to tackle Davy.

My eyes widened.

"NO WAIT!! COME BACK!"

I called. I almost ran out of the bush to try and get the dress, but then thought better of it.

Wait...where did my underdress go?

I had been holding it, but lost track of it when the shadow dissapeared. I looked around for it in desparation.

"Sheara-what's-wrong? Are-you..out-of-site?" Poca asked from the ground.

"I'm so sorry Sheara! I didn't mean to do that! I got distracted! Are you okay?" Davy asked from under Poca.

"I'm in a bush behind you Poca! And it's okay Davy, I know you didn't mean to. I accidentaly shocked everyone in the river, though! Now everyone is gonna be mad at me!" I wailed.

"Don't worry about them. The shock wasn't big enough to do any real damage. Are you okay?" Davy repeated, his voice muffled by Poca's fur.

"Yeah I'm...okay...but..." This was going to be embarrassing...very embarrassing.

"Grab-your-cloths...Sheara, no-one is-looking!" Poca urdged me.

I felt my face go red.

"There...might be a slight problem with that..."

"What-do you mean, what...prob-"

Poca looked to where my clothes used to be. There was a big claw mark and a chunk of mud missing, and the smear ended at the river.

"Oh...oops...that-could be problematic..."

Poca checked to make sure I was well hidden, then got off Davy. He gasped and coughed.

"Finally I can breathe! Sheesh Poca! Do you really think I'm that gross?! I'm offended!"

He yelled at Poca, then grumbled to himself.

"Now...what's the problem Sheara?"

He looked at Poca, making sure it was okay, then turned around slowely. All he would have seen was my head barely sticking out of a bush, but I ducted anyway.

"Wha? What happened to your clo-"

He looked toward the river.

"Oh you have GOT to be kidding me..." He said under his breathe.

"Poca, what do I do?!" I wailed.

Poca remained silent, thinking. Davy's face suddenly changed. He put his hand over his mouth and tried to remain serious. He breathed in, cleared his throat, and put on a straight face. He went to say something, but then burst out laughing.

(Hehe, I thought I would add a little more humor to the situation. Poor Sheara...HAHA! Sorry if this doesn't work! Tell me if there are any problems and I will gladly delete/edit!)
Ninja. Enough said.

The shock hurts... bad. That would be the third time today. I groan and pull myself slowly out of the water. Every movement sending pain through my entire body. I calapse on the bank and rest my head on a bed of flowers where I can still see what's happening in the river. Skylar runs over to help Everlee, but she ignores him and he trudges off. That's new. Rayden, who had been talking to the new girl was just pushed into the water by some unkown force. I watch as he jumps out like a cat.

You never changed, did you? I ask, remembering my own pranks on him as a child.

A shiver runs down my spin and I realize how wet I am. Davnick had pulled me in, clothes and all. And I didn't have a spare change.

"Ugh!" I moan, pushing myself up into a sitting position. Already the wet clothes had gathered mud. "Great..." I mutter. "Davnick better be lending me his shirt. Because if I have to wear my wet clothes all night long, I'm gonna kill somebody."

Everlee

I shiver, the chilly spring evening changing the temperature of the water. I splash Niyah one more time before an idea smacks me in the face. Duh.

"Hold on," I say, putting my hands in the water. A wall of ice shoots up, blocking the girls from the boys. Skylar looks over and our eyes connect before the ice shuts off my view. And, a moment later, the water starts to get warmer. The water flows up my arms and wraps around my torso.

I slide off my underclothes, leavning the water covering me, not completely, but well enough. I scrub my clothes and walk over to a tree, hanging the laundry out to dry.

You lost your other pair of clothes, Darren says, bringing over my shirt and pants. You only have another undershirt.

I sigh. Then I guess I'm stuck wearing these.

The water falls off my clothes and they are completely dry in just a moment. I slip out of the water and run behind the tree, changing as fast as I can. When I walk back out, Reva has built a fire.

I should go hunt. I walk over to my bag and pull out my daggers. I wonder off into the woods, listening quietly for prey.

(Sorry, both posts are short!)

It was beggining to become dark when Everlee created the ice wall. Niyah was greatful. Because a wet underdress definintly did not count as CLOTHES, and she wasn't sure if her's were dry yet. Seena and the others had already gathered around the large fire Reva had managed to build. Niyah collapsed down beside them, willing herself to dry off faster.
"Good thinking Reva." She sighed, letting the warmth of the flames seep into her skin. Reva smiled.
"Well, if your not a water rogue, your going to want a way to dry off."
"Wait, I have an idea!" Niyah said. "Anyone have any metal?" Everyone stayed silent, then Elise raised her hand.
"I have a little dagger, but I don't see how that'll help..."
"Let me see it." Elise passed the dagger over, and Niyah held it in her palmns, concentrating. And then she could feel it growing, extending, and when she opened her eyes there was a perfect little clothes rack hanging over the fire, with just enough room to hold everyone's clothes.
"Perfect!" Seena cried. Everyone else agreed, moving thier wet clothing onto the rack. Then they all sat down again, staring at the dancing flames as they seemed to grow brighter and brighter as the daylight melted away.
The ice wall was now completely gone, and the girls could now see that the men had set up camp as well. Niyah, newly clothed, stood and turned towards the forest.
"Niyah?" Elise asked. Niyah glanced over her shoulder.
"Just want to get a look at our surroundings. Plus, it's getting a bit hot around the fire." Elise nodded, turning back to her conversation with Seena. Niyah walked into the blanket of twilight.
The forest was where she felt safest, tucked away in the trees, she almost felt invisible. Niyah thought of Reva, who could turn completely invisible by useing light. Light. Water, darkness, earth, ice. All elements. But not Niyah's power. She wondered why she was able to control metal. It wasn't exactly useful out here in the woods.
Niyah, don't think about it.
By why not Eisen? Why are you so worried about me?
Because, because...

"Why won't you let me remember?" the words just slipped out, and they echoed menacingly in the scilence.
"Remember what?" Niyah recognized that voice, and her heart immediantly began to skip.
"Nothing of your concern, hunter." she spit. Alec stepped out of the darness, his dark eyes glistening like a wolf's in the fading light.
"Hunter, is that what I am now." A smile played at his lips.
"Aren't you?"Is he flirting with me?No way. He was just playing with her, like a cat with a mouse. That's what his kind do, after all. But she was ready to fight back.
"Does that frighten you?" He asked, stepping closer. Niyah held her ground, meeting his gaze.
"The likes of you could never frighten me." And with that, she left him to the waking shadow, walking back into the warmth and light.

jared:

It was getting late, so everyone got out of the water, soaked, but laughing. Rayden made a fire with his pet, which was a little weird. I tried to make the smoke blow away from me when I had an idea. I looked about, nonchalntly, and twirled it slightly. Suddenly i heard people getting up.
Aw crap! I thought desprately trying to fix what was about to happen. I was too late. I watched in horror as the smoke i was trying to aim towards Rayden, hit Skylar who had sat down unexpectedly. he sputtered and waved his arms around. I swished it away.
"Jared!" he shouted.
"What?" I ased, trying to act innocent.
"Hey! The devilish monster of darkness is trying to kill me!!" I looked up into the treetops to see Tess suddenly jump down. She was clothed, now, but still wet. So when she landed she sent droplets of water flying everywhere.
She was still high off of candy.
She turned towards the tree she fell out of. "Jared! How dare you drop me!' She proceeded to freeze the tree over and over again.
"Tess, I'm over here. That's a tree." i try to point out.
She looked back and forth betweeen the tree and me, a questioning look on her face. Finally she glared at the tree. "You lied to me!? How could you Everlee?"
"Tess, Everlee is over there."
She turned to look where I was pointing and she smiled. "BLAAHHHHHAAAARRRGGGG!!!!" she shouted, sprinting for the other campfire.
We were silent. "What's up with her?" Skylar asked.
"Candy." I answered turning back to the fire.
They nodded in understanding. We were silent until I stood up.
"Where are you going?" Rayden asked.
"To hunt. Amy's bothering me." He gave me a confused look. "Amy's my pet. Sorry, I forgot you hadn't met." Amy got up and gave a quick nod to him before following me into the forest.
She jumped and landed in my hand in her weapons form; A beautiful wooden bow with black spirals painted in random spots. I heard movement a little ways to my left.
That was the cool part about being a rogue. I mean, sure having powers are fun, but when your pet transforms to weapons form, you get the characteristics of your pet, almost as if you become your pet. I, for instance, when Amy turns to weapon, get faster, can hear better, and can become smarter. Sometimes. That one's an if-fy.
I slowed as I came close to the prey; an elk, drinking peacefully at the rivers edge. His...antlers...right? That's what they're called? Sure, we'll go with that. His antlers were huge, which meant he was older. That was good, I didn't want to kill a fawn(That is what they're called, i think).
Amy rolls her eyes in my head at my lack of knowledge on the thing I'm about to kill. it doesn't matter what it's called, just kill it so then we can eat.
I sigh and pull out an arrow. I pulled back the string as silent as I could. the elk looked up, so I let go. It hit it's target, and the elk fell with a thud, already dead.
great. Now let's go eat. I roll my eyes and drop Amy to pic up the large animal. Amy turned back to her usual form and we walked back.

Davnick

I look around the clearing where we have made two seperate camps, a boys and a girls. I can see that the girls have somehow found a clothing rack and are drying all their cloths. Seena seems to be the only one who is still wet. I turn to Sheara who is hiding behind Poca in order to conceal her lack of clothing. I close mouth so I don't snicker. Poca hadn't been too happy about that.

"Okay." I whisper to Sheara so as not to draw attention to her. "My pack is in the boys camp. I'll go grab my extra shirt and pants and bring them over and you can change." Sheara nods and I walk out of my covering. The girls who are in nothing but underclothing squeal and start to shout at me. Elise looks like she wants to kill me and Everlee looks like she wants to help. Seena is looking at me like she wants something, so I make a mental note to talk to her after I help Sheara. I pause in the center of their camp and bow. "Good evening ladies." I say. Everlee throws a water ball at my head and I'm suddenly soaking wet again. They laugh and I bow again. "Thank you, thank you my dearest leader." I wink at Everlee and she blushes. As I walk out of camp, I notice Seena giving me a funny look. I quickly forget it as walk into the guys camp.

"Where have you been?" Rayden asks. He's practically sitting in the fire trying to dry off.

"Bathing." I say simply as I grab my pack. I see my shirt laying on a log and I grab it too. "I'm going to go change." I say before any of them can say anything else. I skirt the girls camp to avoid another water ball to the face. When I enter the forest I start to call for Sheara and Poca quietly.

"Here." Sheara whispers from the darkness. I shoot a smile in her direction, though I doubt she can see me in the dark.

"Just give me a second." I say, rummaging through my pack for my spare outfit. I grab the black shirt and dark green pants and toss them over Poca. "The shirt's a perfect fit on me, so it'll be huge on you. The pants are a little small on me, so they wont be so bad." I tell Poca's stomach in the direction of Sheara's head.

"Thanks Davy, I'll change now." Sheara says. She and Poca move deeper into the forest so Sheara can change in private. I sigh and turn around, nearly colliding into Seena.

"Woa!" I shout as I dodge her.

"Sorry!" She exclaims. "I just wanted to know were you were going..." He cheeks turn red and I can't help but smile at her endearing blush.

"It's fine." I say, and she smiles at me brightly. I realize she's in her underclothing, and it's clinging to her curves because it's wet. I feel myself start to blush too. "So uh... don't you have a change of cloths?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"No, they got wet too. Everlee accidently got my pack wet with her title wave." She shivers and I want to wrap her in a hug, but with her dressed the way she is... I don't feel like it would be appropriate.

"Well, I just gave my change of cloths to Sheara.... But you can wear my shirt if you want. It's long enough to be a dress on you." She gives me a narrow look, debating. I try to look innocent, which I actually am in this case. She smiles.

"Okay. I'll change behind that bush." She says, grabbing my shirt. She pecks me on the cheek as she walks past and my blush gets deeper. At least my hair isn't pink anymore. I think. It had faded to a dark purple so it almost matched my eyes. I hear shuffling behind me as Seena undresses. I keep my eyes fixed on the fire at the girls camp, not even allowing myself to be tempted.

"Hey, can you hold my wet cloths?" She asks. "I don't want them to get muddy." I take a calming breath. Be mature about this. I think. I turn to where Seena is holding her wet cloths above the thick bush. I'm relieved to see that I can't see through the bush at all. I grab her cloths and she says, "Thanks." I turn back around-

-And just about smack into Rayden. He looks at me, still shirtless and holding his sisters underwear. My blood runs cold. He doesn't say a thing, just glares at me with eyes like fire. I can't find my voice, I'm to shocked. I know what he's thinking, but I can't find the words to defend myself. To make things worse, Seena walks out from behind her bush, wearing my shirt. She looks at Rayden, surprized.

"What are you doing here Ray Ray?" She asks.

"What am I doing?" He asks in a dangerous voice. "What do you think you're doing? What are the two of you doing!?" He shouts. I still can't respond.

Realization dawns over Seena. I expect her to laugh it off, but instead she gets angry. "Well, it isn't really any of your business, is it?" She says coldly. I try to warn her off mentally, but it doesn't seem to work. Rayden sputters.

"Of course it's my buisness, you're my sister!!" He bellows. Seena glares.

"I'm not a little girl anymore Rayden, I can make my own choices." I plead silently that she mentions that weren't doing anything, that she explains, but she doesn't. "You can't control who I spend my time with!" She shouts at him.

His face turns red and he looks like a volcano about to blow. "I forbid you two to continue whatever this is!" He shouts, right in Seenas face now. I cringe, knowing how this will make Seena react. However, her response surprises even me.

"You can't do that you hypocryte!!" She bellows, now red faced too. "How can you get mad at me for kissing Davnick when you kissed Reva!!" She paused, shocked that she just said that. I'm shocked too. He kissed Reva? I wonder. What, does he have a death wish? Too soon I realize I'm worrying about the wrong part of her statement.

"He kissed you?" Rayden whispers, deathly calm now.

"N-no no no!" Seena tries to amend, but it's too late. Rayden turns to me and meets my eyes.

It's like looking into eurrpting volcanoes.

Rayden Thorn:

I am soaking wet, my lungs hurt, I have no dry clothes, and I'm getting cold.
Needless to say at this point in the evening I was not happy or cheerful at all. I had soundly trounced Jared for getting me wet and dunked Skylar for good measure, and now was standing as close to the fire as I could get without setting my britches alight.

Davnick showed up just then, still shirtless-didn't he ever wear a shirt?- and started to walk into the woods.

"Where the heck have you been?" I asked smacking out some sparks.

"Bathing." he said flatly then moved off into the woods. "I'm going to go change." he calls back. I roll my eyes.

"I don't give a rats behind." I muttered after him, something about his very presence just annoys the heck out of me. less then two minutes later I see Seena walk by, she smiles and waves as she follows the same line Davnick took. My older brother radar was going off like a hour on fire. On I don't like that one bit. I stood up and as quietly followed her.

I nearly died when I came into a small clearing and saw Davnick holding my little sisters underwear! Oh lord... I could almost see our dad turning over in his grave. I walk right up behind him and he turns almost running into me. his face goes pale as he looks up. I relished the look of horror that registered on his face, I actually really enjoyed it but then when Seena came walking out of the woods wearing only his shirt I wanted to strangle him.

"Rayray!" Seena cried sounding suprised. "what are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here? what do you think you're doing here? what is he doing here?!" Davnick looks about ready to pass out, and Seena looks suddenly cold.

"It isn't any of your business." she says huffing. I stared at her as hundreds of different scenarios played though my head- none of them good for a brother.

"Of course it's my business, your my little sister!" she glares at me, and the little girl with the will of a mule pricks up her ears- my little sister is ready for a fight.

"You can't control who I spend my time with!" she shouts back getting right into my face, my mind went to the worst of all places after she said this.

"Seena you can't do this anymore!" I waved around, shouting myself. " being half dressed in the woods with him! It's indecent! what would Papa say?" I see her face flush and her clenched up fists tremor slightly.

"You hypocrite!!" She bellows, "How can you get mad at me for kissing Davnick when you kissed Reva!!"

I blanched and I felt my eyes bleed to red- they did actually turn red if I was mad enough- it's a fire rouge thing.

"He kissed you?" I said deathly quiet, deathly calm. Seena seeing my eyes went white as a sheet.

"No! no, oh no!" I turn to look at Davnick, he looks terrified for once.

"Rayray please!" Seena says touching my arm. Sparks crackle along my arms, the angrier I was, the hotter I burned- and I was livid.

I took a deep calming breath and breathed a wall of blue flames right at him! In the afterglow I saw him taking off through the woods like a bat out of purgatory, I was only five paces behind.

"I didn't do anything!" he shouted, that might be true but at this point, I didn't give a damn.

(Hope this is alright Razzle if not tell me and I will edit. Also bee thanks for giving me the idea of fire rouges getting red eyes! I wanted to stick it in somewhere after you said it, here seemed a good spot! )

Seena

"I didn't do anything!" Davnick screams as he takes off into the woods. Rayden bolts after him, and in no time at all, I'm left alone, in the dark.

"Rayden!" I scream, jumping over my dropped underwear and running after them. My body's too weak to go faster then a jog, but I keep pushing myself.

Idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, I repeat over and over in my mind. Why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut?

I push past a tree and run into a clearing. Davnick and Rayden are both already there. Rayden's on top of Davnick, threatening him.

"If you lay one finger on Seena, I swear, I will rip you into so many pieces the vultures won't be able to find them," Rayden growls.

I run forward and push on Rayden. "Get off of him," I say, trying to sound calm. Rayden stands up and puts himself in between me and Davnick.

"Rayden, we didn't do anything," I say, trying to explain. "I was cold and so Davnick lent me a dry shirt," I explain slowly. "And earlier, I kissed him, not the other way around." Of course, that night was so fuzz I don't remember who kissed who, but Rayden wouldn't know either way.

"It doesn't matter," Rayden starts to say.

I feel five again. The time when adults refuse to listen to you and the only way you can get their attention is to slam your foot down and start crying. Which is exactly what I did. "Rayden, will you just listen to me?!" I demand, the first tear rolling down my face. Rayden looks back down at me, shocked.

"You're right, it doesn't matter," I say, trying to calm down. "It doesn't matter whether or not I'm standing in the woods half naked with Davnick. And it doesn't matter whether he kissed me or I kissed him. I love him still the same, no matter what you or anyone else does." I wait a minute. "Papa would have been happy for me."

The clearing is quiet for a long time. Or maybe it was just one short minute where the earth froze. Finally, Rayden speaks.

"Seena," he says calmly. "Are you sure? Are you sure you love him?"

My mind drifts back to the conversation I had earlier with Reva, and without missing a heartbeat, I answer. "Absolutely."

Rayden nods, looking back over to Davnick. "Okay," he says after a moment. My heart beat stops and starts again. "Okay," he repeats.

I can't stop myself from running forward and wrapping my arms around my brother. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I say.

Rayden hugs me back. "I just don't want to see you get hurt," he whispers in my ear.

"RayRay, you're the best brother I could ever ask for," I say, pulling away. He smiles. "But don't let it get to your head," I say with an even bigger smile.

Rayden laughs. "Don't worry, I wont," he says. He looks over to Davnick. "But I am going to have a talk with you," he says.

My heart drops. "Uh," is all I can say.

Rayden looks back at me and smiles. "Don't worry, I'm not going to kill him," he jokes. I fake a laugh. He senses it and looks me seriously in the eye. "We'll be fine. Go back to your camp. I just want to talk," Rayden explains.

I hesitate, and then nod. Rayden steps back and Davnick jogs up, throwing Rayden untrusting looks. He wraps his arms around me and gives me a quick hug. "I'll be fine," he says.

"I know you will be," I honestly tell him. Rayden wouldn't break his word.

"I'll come tell you good night later," Davnick promises before leaning down and giving me a quick kiss on my forehead. I blush and nod, thankful to the darkening sky for covering my red face.

"Bye," I whisper, turning to walk back to my camp. I cast one more look over my shoulder before the trees block my view of the two most important men in my life. It takes me a few minutes to find the girl's camp site.

I walk over and sit down next to Niyah. I see Everlee and Tess look at eachother questioning looks, but niether ask where I've been or what I'm doing wearing Davnick's shirt. The sun ducks below the trees and the last of it's light is blocked by the forest.

It takes me a moment to realize that I wasn't only in the girl's camp anymore. The men had sometime walked over and joined us.

"Anybody know where Davnick and Rayden are?" Everlee asks, looking slightly worried.

"They'll be a minute," I say shortly.

"Anybody wanna hear a story about the evil poka dots that chase the seashells into the mouth of the elephant?" Tess asks, still high off of the candy. The group moans in unison and laughs.

(Please tell me if there is anything that's wrong with this! I'm uncertain about all of it, so just tell me :D)

Rayden Thorn:

"Don't worry I'm not going to do anything. I just want to talk to him." i said to Seena. I was beaten, I knew I was beaten. I would never be able to stand up to her when she looked at me like that. Davnick comes over and gives her a small kiss. I glared my steeliest glare at him. Seena walks away and Davnick turns to me eyes narrow.

"Calm down, I'm not going to do anything. I really just want to talk." I sit down on a tree stump and look up at him. he sits across from me warily. I sighed, I wasn't supposed to be the one doing this- papa was.

"Well, lets cut to the chase huh?" I said smiling ruefully. "My sister obviously cares for you- why she does I don't know why but she does. first question, do you love her?" Davnick nods, I shake my head. "not good enough, I want you to say it."

"I do love her, more than anything." he says,

"Good, next question. what are your intentions?" he looks at me blankly. "Have you given any thought to what will happen in the coming weeks?" he grins wickedly

"Have you given any thought about Reva-" I glare.

"Don't change the subject!" I pause. "this isn't working. let me lay down the law and then you can talk. I stand up and begin to pace.

"Alright you break my sisters heart- I kill you. You make her cry- I kill you. You have a fling with her- they will never find your corpse. You act in anyway not honorable towards her- I will flay you alive over an open fire. You will treat her with the: respect, love, gentleness, and kindness she deserves- if you don't I swear I will tare you apart. You will keep your relationship clean, I will not have anyone compromising my sisters honor. You will love her until your dying breath. Am I clear Tarish?" I wait looking down at him, he stands slowly and offers his hand.

"Done." I give it a shake.

"Good. you know I'm going to make your life a living hell right? I may agree to this but I don't have to like it- or you." Davnick smiles slightly.

"I can live with that thorn."

I grip Rayden's hand hard, not enough to cause pain, but enough to show that I mean business when it comes to his sister. He really is intimidating. I think, looking up at him. He's at least a full head taller than me. He releases my hand and starts back for camp. I feel my emotions swell up and I can't help but grab his hand again.

"Wait." I say stiffly. He looks back, clearly interested. "I just..." I put my scrambled thoughts in order. "What I said before. About how I feel about Seena. It wasn't strong enough. Your sister..." I pause, finding the words. "She isn't just the person I love. She is the only person I have ever loved. I didn't even know I was capable of feeling like this before I met her. She... she has changed everything about who I am. I don't know what I could ever do without her." I finish, my voice a bit shaky. "You just needed to know that."

Rayden stares at me for a moment, his face unreadable. He nods once, then turns and walks away. I sigh. I need to stop letting emotion get the best of me. I think, shaking my head. I follow him back to camp, where it seems that the boys and girls have come together. I see Seena wave at Rayden on the other side of the fire. I make my way over to sit by her. On my way, I pass Skylar on his way to Everlee. He sits next to her, but she turns away and starts up a conversation with Tess, who is still off her rocker on candy.

What's going on there? I wonder as I plop down next to Seena. I kiss her on the cheek, extremely concious of Raydens eyes on us. "How are you?" I ask quietly.

"Good. You aren't in pieces, so the talk must have gone well." She says.

I shiver. "Please don't refer to any conversation Rayden and I will ever have as "The Talk."" I say. Seena giggles and lays her head into the area between my chin and collar bone.

"Well, I'm glad it went well." She says sleepily. I smile and look around. Sheara is to our right, talking silently to Poca. She looks hilarious in my cloths, but at least she's dry. She sees me look and waves. I wave back and settle down.

Looks like things are looking up around here.

I peer into the clearing where most of my targets are settling down. Only a few need to return before I spring my trap. I'm very careful to stay unseen, and I have Resh keeping watch for me. I glare at Davnick, who seems to be snuggling with some hussy wearing only a shirt. It's disgusting.

But I only need a little more time. Then I will have my revenge on him.

He will finally know my pain.

I wandered away from the fire where everyone was gathering, I didn't feel well, and I didn't want to have to deal with Rayden. As honorable as his intentions had been it still hurt, and I didn't forgive very easily. He would have to work for it.

I turned my thoughts from the infernal man and searched for another topic, any topic! That didn't lead to him!

I came to the men's fire and sat down on a log, warming myself against the chill of the night. As I stretched, the wound on my shoulder ached and I sighed. I really ought to check that. I slid the shoulder of the corset off and tried craning my neck to see how bad it was, while twisting to use the fire light. No luck. It was situated at that impossibly tender spot just inside my shoulder blade and every time I twisted it pulled painfully and I had to stop before I could see it. This was ridiculous. I was the invisible rogue! I never truly got hurt before! And now I was out of ointment, had a wound that I couldn't reach, and I definitely couldn't bandage! Not to mention that I lied to my pet about it so if he ever found out he would be furious at me and tell Everlee who would be even madder and heal it for me! I couldn't rely on them like that, I didn't deserve it. I had to deal with this on my own.

I twisted and turned and stretched and moved in an attempt to see the wound. But it was impossible. I couldn't see it no matter how I tried. Finally, after who knows how long, and I was still alone, I gave up. I dropped my head into my hands and sighed deeply. "Okay Darsor. I admit it. I'm hurt and I need help." I said softly, knowing he would hear me.

((Sorry that it's mostly the same as the last one, you can take out this part of that one mentally and I'll edit later!))

Rayden Thorn:

Well that had gone quite a bit better than I was expecting. Davnick sat next to Seena and put his arms around her, kissing her on the cheek.

"Oi! paws off hobbit boy!" I said glaring at him. Seena almost died laughing and Davnick was to shocked for words. I went over to my pack and rummaged though it looking for a clean shirt. I found one, a dark green one, then I stripped of the bandages Reva had put on me- I didn't need them anymore. Just then I saw out of the corner of my eye Reva get up and go to the other fire, that was burning down to that red glow. I stared after her, not sure what to do.

"Go and talk to her you idiot." Dante said sleepily from somewhere above m, I started and looked up. her was sitting in a tree eyes half closed.

"come on down before you fall out of the tree." he flew to my shoulder then pecked me gently on the head.

"Rayden go talk to her. your mind is all jumbled with her."

I groaned aloud and taking up my guitar I walked over to where she was sitting.

"Hey, mind of we join you?" I asked setting Dante into the dying fire, it blazed up bathing the are in dancing light. when I looked up I blushed once again. she had the neck of her-dress?- pulled down low over one shoulder. I couldn't not notice her wince slightly, even before she frowned at me. that wince bothered me.

"Are you alright?" I asked standing again and walking towards her. she glared daggers at me, and if looks could kill I would have been six feet under.

"I'm fine." she said sharply turning away. I reached out and grabbed her arm, she let out a half bitten off groan. my eyes went wide.

"No you not fine!" I dropped to my knees, forgetting my embarrassment in the concern of the moment and leaned over her tender shoulder.

"Dante I need more light." I said and he blazed up brighter. a small but deep looking cut marred her skin right near her shoulder blade. the wound was an angry red color and I could already see it was beginning to weep.

"how old is this?" I ask looking closer at it...

Rayden came over. Right as I was reaching my worst and about to break down in tears of frustration and pain, Rayden came over. My luck must be terrible.

"Hey, mind if we join you?" He asked in that deep, rich voice of his.

I didn't answer, but winced as my jerking back into a more normal position made my shoulder ache.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

Was it too much to ask that my physical pain go unnoticed? I mean, really. I could hide it from darsor but not from a fire rogue? I shot him a nasty glare that made me feel a little bad and snapped, "I'm fine." Before turning to go. He grabbed my arm, making my shoulder burn with pain and I bit off a groan. This was not happening to me. Not right now.

"No, you're not fine!" He responded, and knelt next to me to examine it. He was inches away, and his nearness was not helping my attempt to stay cool and collected around him. He extuded warmth and when he was near me, I could feel it. I wanted to be closer, to revel in that heat. "Dante I need more light." And with that command the area lit up much brighter. I was painfully aware of the fact that I was hardly dressed appropriately, and that he was RIGHT THERE! It made me feel... Uncomfortable. In a new and totally disliked way. "How old is this?" He murmured, and I could feel him gently touching my skin.

I resisted the urge to lean closer, it was not appropriate, and instead hung my head. "A day, maybe more." I admitted. "How bad is it?"

"This is only a day old?"

"You forget I fought Lydia, and slept on the ground with it." I murmured, then realized that he had neatly danced around my last question. "You didn't answer. How bad is it?" I admit, I was reaching for any thought, any worry, any question that didn't make me think about him. Right next to me.

Rayden Thorn:

"You didn't answer me," she said. "How bad is it?"

I looked at it closely, and probed it with my finger as gently as could. the skin was hot even to my touch and a shiny red- infection.

"It's infected." I said shifting around so I was at a better angle. "I'm guessing you never washed it?" She shrugged.

"Not until this afternoon." she said flatly, not meeting my eyes- I didn't blame her. I had treated her horribly earlier.

"That'll do it. Well, it needs to be reopened- the infection is trapped under your skin." she looked up at me sharply.

"What are you going to do?" she asked as I moved off to my pack. I pulled out a small leather pouch. inside was my first aid kit.

"Lance it. It needs to drain before it can heal." I pulled out a small sharp knife and a wad of cobwebs. there was already a pot of water still steaming on the fire- someone had made tea. I took the knife and held it in the flames till it glowed red.

"Wh-what are you doing?" Reva asked looking at the glowing blade. I smiled reassuringly.

"flames clean a blade, so it won't cause more damage." I moved back over to her. "I'm going to lance it with this, let it drain, then wrap it up. Alright?" she nodded and turned her head away.

"Fine, go for it." her voice sounded forced and it wasn't until much later I realized why. I quickly cut along the original wound line, Reva hissed in pain as the knife cut her.

"Sorry." I said as I started to dab at it with a wet cloth. it was a deep wound, I was surprised she had been able to move her arm at all.

We fell into a very awkward silence then, it was killing me. I knew I needed to man up and talk to her, but I was terrified. finally I took a deep breath and dived in.

"Reva, I'm sorry about earlier." I was still cleaning her shoulder then so I didn't look at her face. "I'm sorry I behaved so-badly to you. I didn't mean to hurt you." the fact she couldn't turn around to look me in the eye made it easier for me to go on, being brutally honest to us both.

"The fact is, I do like you Reva- as far as I know you, and I want to know more. I apologized then for kissing you, because it was wrong of me to force myself on you like that." My cheeks were burning by now. "I'm ashamed I did that to you, it wasn't right. I'm not usually that kind of guy, I more of the "lets take it slow" guy. which is what I want to do. I don't want to rush into this, I don't want to mess up again." I had finished washing her shoulder and was wrapping it up when I had run out of things to say...

My eyes widened in shock. I had intended to stay angry at him for a while, but his apology was so sweet. I couldn't help but feel my heart soften towards him. Davnick was right. He had been right about Rayden. And then that happy little moment in my head came crashing down. Because he wanted to know more about me. "You aren't the only one that is scared about... This. Whatever it is that's going on between us, it scares me and I hate being scared. I like you. A lot more than Darsor will ever be okay with. And I can handle his disapproval if you really do like me. But if you knew who I was, who I still am, I don't think you'll want to know me anymore."

"I'm sure it isn't-"

"I murdered innocent people, okay? I went into village after village and just slaughtered them all!" I said it slowly at first, but my pace picked up as his hands slowed then stopped. "Are you thoroughly disgusted with me?! Because I am!" I jerked from his grip and turned on him, facing the man that was the source of my frustration, while tears stung my eyes. "Now that you know me for who I am are you going to change your mind?!" I took a deep breath and my voice went soft again. "Because I wouldn't blame you. Not one bit if you did. No one can ever really care for the invisible rogue." It all brought back memories. Memories that were all too fresh and terrible. It was amazing to think the kind of person I changed into in but a week. It felt like months. And yet it was only a week ago I was slaughtering people. Their faces flashed in my mind's eye, each dead face more grotesque and horrible than the rest. I was no longer about to cry, tears were running freely down my face. I had never hated myself so much as I did then.

I grumble to myself as Seena falls asleep on my shoulder. Hobbit boy? What did he even mean by that? I'm not a hobbit... I sigh, trying to get it off my mind. I'm not that much shorter than he is! I think, failing at forgetting.

There is some rustling in the bushes and I start up my sonar just to be safe. I can't get that calling voice from earlier out of my head, and it has me on edge. Alec walks into the clearing, intimidating as ever. I cock an eyebrow at him as he sits near me. Why is he not in a pair of ice cuffs? I wonder. Everlee must see my face because she answers my unspoken question.

"He decided to help us." She says shortly. I nod and she smiles, returning to her conversation with loony Tess.

"Yea, just like little Liddy decided to help us." I mumble. I didn't like either of those two. I didn't know them well enough yet, and I knew the nature of bounty hunters. I glare at Alec. If either of you try to hurt any of the people I care about... I threaten. I realize that I'm not just talking about Seena and Sheara. Everlee, Tess the candy addict, Skylar, Reva, Jared. Even Rayden and that new girl, that metal Rogue who bent Fang. If either of those bounty hunters hurt anybody in our group, I would have to take a page out of Raydens book and flay them alive.

Alec sees me glaring. "Hey, you're that one bounty hunter, right?" He says. I snort.

"Way to be specific." He puts his hands up.

"Don't attack me, I didn't mean anything by it. But you are him, right? The Dark Rogue, the Rogue who turns in his own kind?"

I flare up. "Yea, I used to be. But I don't hunt Rogues anymore. I have a sweet spot for pathetic Doll bounty hunters. I kill them instead." He grins.

"Wow, you're scary for such a short guy!" He says with a laugh. I almost loose what composure I have left and go off on him. Instead I turn away and ignore him. I'm raging on the inside though.

Short! Who the heck is he calling short?! And what is up with him and Rayden calling me short in the same hour time span? Did they talk to each other about it? I've never been called short before!! I'll show those morons short... As I fume, somebody else enters my radar. They're small, and gone before I can tell who it is. I freeze, but relax a second later. Probably one of the girls that still hasn't gotten back yet. I think, dismissing the incident.

But I still stay on edge, one eye on Alec, and one on the forest. I can't shake the feeling that we're being watched.

The faint sound of sonar echo hits my ears, and I jump back. It's Davnick's darned power. I glare. I had planned on attacking before everybody got back, just because all the most dangerous targets were now in one place. Now I couldn't until Davnick turned of that cursed sound wave of sight. I settle back against a tree just outside his range, and stroke Resh behind the ear.

You're just prolonging the inevitable. I will get you. I inspect him glaring around, clearly on guard.

Davnick.
