Rogues and Pets vs. Dolls [closed/starting]

In the land of Aria, there are special people, called “rogues,” with mystic powers. These powers are connected to their swords which they call “pets.” The pets only connect with one person and are based off of their personality. When the pets are removed from their masters, they are just another hunk of metal. Each power is different, although most of them are based off of the basic elements; fire, water/ice, air/wind, earth, light, energy, metal, and darkness, sometimes using a collection of more than one element. These pets can also have connects to one specific animal that it usually a part of the master’s soul broken off into a separate form.

With so many of these rogues and pets appearing over the country, the government was getting jumpy, until finally, a law was passed against all rogues. A doll, or a normal person without powers (named because they are powerless and lifeless in the eyes of the rogues), was paid a fortune for killing a single rogue. They were paid even more for bring in a rogue alive. Some rogues went into hiding in different countries, where these powers are fewer. Others hid inside of the cities, pretending to be normal dolls. Some of these people could hide their powers easily, and some of them were less fortunate.

Here’s the story: A rogue decides that she is sick of running her entire life, so she begins to pull together a small resistance group in secret, leaving the government clueless.

You job?: To create a character. He/she can be either a rogue, or a doll. If he/she is a rogue, he/she can have any powers you wish as long as they are not too powerful. (I will message you if they are). He/she can also be part of the resistance or trying to live a normal life. If you decide that your character is trying to live a normal life, he/she can be brought into the resistance later. If you have any special requests for your character, (spy, twins, etc.) feel free to PM me. I will keep track of everyone’s characters below. We don’t have to have any dolls if everyone wants to be a rogue. So don’t choose based on how many people have already chosen. We can create other characters to fill in the slots. To create a character, just fill out the profile below.

The point of this is to have fun! So feel free to control the story for a bit. Your character doesn’t have to be a side character, and we can have more than one person’s story going on at one time. Have fun, and be creative!

Storyline- so far:

Everlee is on partol and returns back to the place where her and Tess are hiding. Soldiers come to look for rogues in the village and scare Elise and Skylar who run to the same cottage where Everlee and Tess are. Reluctantly, the two let them in. After the army leaves, Everlee and Skylar go to the town. Everlee tries to pay the butcher who refuses to keep their secret. Skylar picks up his sword. Seena, who was with the army, stays behind. She hears Tige call for her and helps him break out of the zoo. As Everlee and Skylar begin to leave, the villagers try to stop them, causing a battle. Tige runs in and protects the two, freezing the butcher. Everlee releases the butcher and threatens to kill him. The group leaves and goes into the forest where they meet Jared. Together, they walk to an abandoned village after the Invisible Rogue killed all of the dolls living there. The stop for the night.

The next day, Tige talks about his life and how he enjoyed the games which the group decides to recreate. Tess and Jared fight first and Jared wins. Everlee and Tige fight next. Tige wins but is impressed with Everlee's strength. Seena and Elise fight. Elise wins. Before anyone else could fight, they sence powers from in the forest. The go to investigate and see Davnick and Reva fighting. They try to stop the battle, but end up getting sucked in themselves. Finally, both Davnick and Reva run out of energy and pass out. The group camps while they wait for the two to wake up.

When the group wakes up, Everlee pours water on to Davnick who bolts awake. After talking for awhile, the group finds out about a kill list. While they are focused on Davnick, Reva tries to slip away and gets caught by Tige. Reva passes out. Seena says that she will attack the government whether on her own, or with the rest of the group. Davnick refuses at first, but changes his mind and decides to join the group. While showing off his sonar, he sences an army heading towards the group. They hide in bushes and, with the help of Davnick and Reva, fend off the army. Davnick and Reva both decide to help the group, and they plan to attack some government buildings in three days. Meanwhile, Sheara has been starving and so her pet, Poca, tries to steal some food. Poca reaches into Davnick's pocket and he catches her. Poca grows big to try to protect herself and Sheara runs out to protect her pet. Sheara recognizes Davnick and freezes. She uses her power and shocks the entire group. Finally, she stops and passes out.

When she wakes up, Seena and Tige connect spirits, making Tige Seena's pet. While they are busy training, Everlee and Skylar go off to practice. When blocking a move, Skylar leans forward and kisses Everlee, leavning very quickly. The two reach camp and see Tige has now turned into a tiger.

The group packs up and leaves, heading for the next village where Tess finds candy and gets high off of it. They also meet Rayden, Seena's brother. After a slight confusion on both Davnick's part and Rayden's the group causes attention and are attacked by the villagers. Davnick saves the group by claiming them as his bounty. When the group leaves, Davnick and Rayden attack eachother again and both end up passing out. Seena, scared and exhausted, passes out beside Davnick. Reva and Rayden have a moment, but they are interupted by Seena coming to talk to her brother. Rayden tells Seena that he tried to find her and how much he loves her. He gives her her mother's necklace, and Seena falls again into sleep beside him. Meanwhile, Niyah's group of orphens were killed and Keradon killed their killer. Niyah joins the group when attacking Davnick and Everlee comes to his rescue (*snicker snicker*). Alec also enters when he gets attacked by Reva in the woods. Alec throws a dagger at Everlee, but misses and is knocked unconcious by Reva. Everlee heals him and decides to stand watch first. Davnick does instead.

The next morning, Lydia meets Reva, while Seena, Davnick, and Everlee are trying to help Niyah find her powers. The group finds out the Lydia is a bounty hunter and they exploid into a swift battle that ends after Niyah releases her pet and Everlee breaks up the battle, offering Lydia two choices, to be left, or to join. Both Lydia and Alec agree to join the group.

Davnick, noticing that Lydia is lying, takes Sheara off to practice. While practicing, Poca, Sheara's pet, decides to take on Davnick again, growing to be bus sized and eating Davnick. Davnick sends out an electric blast that does no harm to Poca. Poca throws up in her mouth. Seena, in an attempt to calm down Poca, gets shocked and looses her life. Sheara, pounces on Seena's chest and does CPQ, shocking Seena's heart back into motion. While Seena was dead, however, she lost connection to Tige who is now trapped in his weapon form. During this, Reva's pet tries to kill Rayden. After being wounded, Reva helps to heal Rayden. He kisses her, and in shock leaves her. The group packs up camp and moves on only until they reach the river, accedently leaving Rayden and Lydia behind. Lydia attacks Rayden who protects himself and knocks her unconcious. He carries her to the rest of the group and dumps her into the water. Davnick drags Seena in and somehow a water fight begins. Davnick also pushes Rayden in. Sheara, who wants to bathe but does not want to with people there, asks Davnick to sheild her with his darkness. He gets distracted and loses the darkness. Sheara shocks the water.

The group gets out of the water to dry off. The men go to one camp, and the girls to another until their clothes are dry. While Sheara was bathing, Poca accedentally kicked Sheara's clothes into the water. Davnick leaves to get his clothes and after handing them to Sheara, bumps in to Seena. Seena's clothes had gotten wet when Davnick pushed her in. Davnick lends her his shirt, and while she is changing, Rayden see Davnick holding Seena's underwear. After Rayden yells at Davnick, Seena lets slip that Davnick and her kissed. Rayden chases Davnick and tackles him to the ground. Seena explains that she loves Davnick and that there is nothing Rayden can do about it. Rayden agrees but talks with Davnick alone.

When they get back to camp, the men and women camps have combined. Everlee walks off into the woods and breaks up with Skylar. Rayden sees Reva's wounds and helps to heal them. Keradon, Davnick's brother, gets impatient waiting for the entire group to meet back again, so he attacks, using his sound to knock out the entire group. Davnick is only awake long enough to knock out his brother.

Everlee is smaller and thinner then most girls her age. She’s about 5 and half feet tall. She’s pretty. Everlee has dark brown hair with light brown highlights. She has big, brown puppy-dog eyes.

Don’t be fooled by her looks, she’s powerful. Ya, she’s smaller for most, but the helps her hide herself better. She’s fast and quick and will go for a surprise attack. Her pet’s elements are water/ice and light. Although, occasionally she is able to use the power of energy. Her pet also has the connection with a wolf, Darren.

Personality: (Be descriptive.)
In one word, Everlee is protective. Everlee is a leader, although she doesn’t like leading. She’s cunning and clever. She’s easy to love, and is usually pretty trusting, but only after she knows you. Her life has made her tougher and harder, and it isn’t easy for you to make her feel comfortable around you. But after she trusts you, it is hard to make her loose her trust.

History:
Everlee was only 8 when the law was passed against rogues. Her father, herself, and her younger brother were rogues. Her parents decided to try to hide the fact of their children’s powers; however they both died about a month later, killed by a friendly neighbour. Her mother, who had been a doll, was killed along with her father, because the neighbour believed that she too had powers. Since then, Everlee has had to raise her younger brother on her own. Recently, he too was killed. And because Everlee is protective, she decided to start the rebellion, so that she could save lives.

Dark, and likes to have power. She will be kind and sweet at first, just to get what she wants, but if you cross her path she will make you regret it. She doesn't trust anybody.

History:
She has always been a very powerful rogue, ever since her parents died at a dolls hands, and she became so angry she froze her whole town. Ever since, she has had difficulty to control her powers and has released it randomly. She had a friend once, when she was 12, but he found out about her being a rogue (he was a doll, and had hitherto known about her true identity), and turned her into the government. She barely escaped, but she never saw him again.

Skills:Other than having the power of Earth, Elise is an excellent fighter. She specializes in kick-boxing, martial arts, and katana. Her pet's element is Earth. She is able to use the power too, and her pet is an Owl.

Personality: (Be descriptive.) Elise's personality is quiet and serious. She concentrates well and easily. Elise can snap at people, but is kind hearted. When she knows something is wrong she can be the first one to sense it. Elise is interested in the way things works, and is very useful for needing something to be fixed. Elise isn't the leader type, but she can try.

History: Elise was 6 when her father was killed by a family friend, since he was a rogue, and her mother was taken in alive by a merchant, who was her best friend's father. The same merchant knows that Elise was a rogue, and attempted to take her too. Elise successfully escaped thanks to her best friend and is hiding in another part of Aria as a doll. She vows to take revenge for her parent's death.

Ummm...i was gonna join, and I was gonna have my charrie straight anyway...but excuse me? May I know why exactly?

Sure, fictionfanatic. No offence to gay people or anything (I know some and they are some of my closest friends), but I think that stories sound better when everyone is straight. Also, considering the time period I kinda want this focussed on, gays aren't really accepted. I didn't choose that, society did. And you can have a gay character if you want, it is your character. I just prefer if you keep them straight. The choice is still up to you.

Skills: Skylar is excellent at sword fighting, but not combat. Skylar is learning blacksmith, so he can make his own customized swords. He is good at horse riding.

Personality: (Be descriptive.) Skylar is very lively and fun. He is talkative, but also knows when to stop. Skylar is kind hearted to everyone, except when fighting. He doesn't really concentrate well, especially when there's a special someone near. Skylar can get distracted pretty easily, and laugh a lot. He acts like there is no trouble in the world. He is very protective for the people he loves.

History: When the law for rogues passed, Skylar knew that his best friend, Elise Paige was a rogue. He was scared and didn't know what to do. His father was a merchant, and he took Elise's mother in for money. Skylar, not knowing what to do, ran away with Elise and is currently hiding with her in another part of Aria. (Elise and Skylar are NOT dating, they're best friends and treat eachother like brother/sister).

there would be two if them one for each hand and because of Tiges abilities his user is able to tap into his brute strength. in his animal form he looks like this.

A normal human being would reach to Tige's shoulder and he is able to carry several riders (but only if they ask nicely)
Skills: Tige in weapon form gives his user his bearlike strength in attacks and ferocity. Tige would have a very close soul bond with his Rouge. In Bear form he has the usual abilities of a polar bear, immense strength, speed, ferocity, swimming, and impervious to the cold. He has the "special" ability to manipulate Ice and snow. he is able to breath a bitterly cold blast of these things that would both freeze and mummify an opponent on impact. (like fire breathing but bitterly cold) in both forms he is able to talk. (mentally in weapon form and verbally in bear.)
Personality: Tige is a basically a big ball of fluff packaged in a scary box. he shared a close bond with his Rouge, Emily and when he lost her he became listless. He is highly intelligent and able to react to situations very quickly. He can read people well because of the smells they posses. He is not the aggressive sort of pet and would prefer to just laze about or get scratched behind his ears, but he is a force to be reckoned with when he's angered. He has a temper that can become extremely violent but he has a long fuse. He needs to be loved by someone and is hoping to find a Rouge who will "adopt him".
History: Tige was the pet to a Rouge named Emily Watson for many years and lived quietly with her and her family in the circus that they called home. when the Law was passed the Watson's (all were rouges) were able to hide longer than most because of their profession, (Emily was the bear trainer.) a circus partner finally betrayed them and they were all killed in a violet raid on the circus. All the animals( Tige included) were sent to various zoos or animal shows. Tige ended up in a zoo as one of the main attractions since he was so large. he has been there ever since hoping yet fearing someone will realize he's not a animal but a pet. He is unable to revert back into his weapon form because he need to be linked with a rouge's spiritual force to shift. He is still alive because as all pets are, a little bit of his rouges soul is still inside of him.
Relationship: Well as pets go he's straight and no he's not in a relationship but he want to find a new rouge who will love him.
Other: He loves listening to music very loud and can sing beautifully.

Seena has browninsh-blonde hair with green eyes. She's about average height and weight. She's really pretty.

Seena is fast and strong. She knows how to handle swords, but is better with knives and uses them both in close combat and at a range. Seena is also very good with a bow and arrows. She rides horses, but would prefer walking because it keeps her conceled.

Personality: (Be descriptive.)
Seena is nice to all dolls. Although she will be polite to rogues, Seena has learned not to trust them. She is sweet and kind. She doesn't like hurting people, dolls and rogues alike, but she will kill if it will save lives. Seena is very protective.

History: Seena was born into a farming family. They were all dolls except for her older brother, Rayden (he can be used as another character in the resistance even though he doesn't have a character profile), who was a fire rogue. When the law was passed, the entire family went into hiding. At one point, the family was turned in and when the dolls came to take Darren, Seena protected him, getting herself caught. The king of the country was impressed by her skills and offered her a place in his private guard, which she reluctantly took. Now, Seena is only the opposite side of the rebels.

I looked up over the trees as the sun rose, casting shadows across the land. The clouds turned a beautiful pinkish hue that slowly became brighter. I wonder if Nick (baby brother who died) is up there, I thought to myself.

Focus, Darren said in a deep growl. He had run off to patrol ahead of me and now I couldn't even see him. I nodded, looking back in front of me. It had been a quiet night, but I was exausted. I couldn't wait to go back to the small cottage I had found and started the rebelion to take a long nap. I kept walking, quicker this time.

There were only three of us at the rebellion; myself, Tess, and Darren, who had come last night. But I knew there were more out there. We couldn't be the only rogues left. There had been so many of us before, but the kingdom had killed so many of us...

Yes, so very sad, Darren muttered sarcastically. I glarred at a tree as I passed by.

Sometimes, I wish I could keep my thoughts to myself, I said, making sure Darren heard. I could feel him laugh.

Ya, I wish that too. You know what else I wish for?

I smiled. A female? I guessed.

That too. But I was going to say dinner. I'm starving, can we please pick up the pace? he asked irritated.

I nodded. You head back, I'll finish up.

Really? he questioned, already turning left towards the hut.

It was silent as he walked out of range to hear my thoughts. Finally. It took me only about fifteen minutes to finish the route, and I even had a chance to catch a small rabbit on the way back. I walked into the cottage, hearing Darren's dreams in the background, and dropped the rabbit next to the fireplace. Tess and Darren we upstairs, probably still asleep. That was okay though. We didn't do patrols during the day.

Right now, we were too close to the villages. And, although we traded with some of them, most dolls would turn us in. Only a few selfish merchants who thought they could get more money from us before they turned us in were trustworthy. I walked over and sat by a window, looking out behind the curtain.

Darren bolted awake. Do you hear that? he asked, alert. I waited quietly. Finally, I heard the stomps.

The army! I almost said aloud. I quickly ran up stairs, nearly walking on Tess, and looked out the window. In the distance, i could see the small army in the village. They were looking for us...

Elise:

Me and Skylar were walking around the forest, hoping we could find some game, instead of buying from a merchant. We were low on money, and Skylar wasn't working for now. Skylar became frustrated.

"Argh! We'll never be able to find anything here!" he said. This scared some birds.

"Great job Skylar," I said. Myrtle, my owl, was perched on my left shoulder. Her head quickly turned to right, as if she heard something.

"What's wrong?" I asked. Skylar turned around, looking at Myrtle.

"Did you hear that?" he said, with an alarmed tone. I stay quiet, and suddenly hear marching from were we were. Shoot, it's the army. I grab Skylar's wrist and begin running, and Myrtle takes off flying ahead of us. I hold out my palm behind me and erase all the footprints we've left behind. We quickly stop to a cottage in the forest.

"Our only chance," Skylar said. He approached the cottage cautiously, and he knocks on the door, while me and Myrtle stand behind him waiting.

Everlee:

I watch as a small gust of smoke reaches the village. Quiet screams echo off the hills as the soldiers search the houses. I frown; they're searching for rogues, rogues that will probably be killed. A knock from the door makes me jump. Tess bolts up as I look at the stairs.

"Who is it?" she whispers. I shake my head, but run down the stairs quietly. The knocking comes again as I reach the door. Darren stood facing the door, calm.

One's a rogue, he says quickly. The other is a doll.

I nod as I open the door, just a crack. Tess stands behind me, ready. Rayden was on the stairs, also ready.

Two people stand in the doorway, a boy and a girl, both about my age. The girl glanced over her shoulder at the village in the distance.

"Can we come in?" the boy asked quickly. I look over to Tess who nodded, and Rayden who shook his head.

Well, they're no help.

"Please," the boy said. After a look at them again, I open the door all the way. The two run in quickly and I close the door.

"Alright, who are you?" I asked.

Skylar:

When I knocked on the door, I did it impulsively. Not thinking about who is living there. But I was scared, and worried about my friend. Suddenly, a girl, a cute one at that, opened the door.

"She's a rogue," Elise whispered. I try to remain calm. "Can we come in?" I asked
The girl was hesitant. "Please," I said desperately. After a glance, she opens the door wide and we rush in.

"Alright, who are you?" she asks.

"I'm Skylar, and she's Elise, and the owl is Myrtle," I said. Elise looked at everyone.

"You two are rogues, aren't you?" Elise said with a tone. I look at those two.

"Who are you?" she asks with a tone, again. I gulp, Elise always had attitude, but it wasn't that bad. Elise stood there, with her arms crossed.

Everlee

"Who are you?" Elise asked. I didn't like her tone, but I probably shouldn't expect any less.

"I'm Everlee, and this is Tess," I said, pointing over to my friend. "And that is Darren," I pointed to my wolf over in the corner. It was quiet for a moment as I looked at Skylar and Elise. "You are not a rogue," I stated towards Skylar. He only shook his head. I waited for him to answer, but he didn't.

Should we trust him?, I asked Darren.

He seems trustworthy, Darren said, laying down in the corner. If Darren could trust him, it was a safe bet I could too. "I assume you are the people the soldiers are looking for. You can stay here if you want, but we don't have much to offer."

I looked down at the small rabbit I had caught earlier. With the soldiers so close, we couldn't risk smoke from a fire. "Tess," I spoke quickly. "Will you keep an eye on the soldiers? I want to know exactly when they leave." Tess nodded and began walking out the door. Soon, it was just me and our guests.
