I turned to see yet more animals sitting around. One I recognized as Saber, ranting about a rabbit that got away. I rolled my eyes and trotted over. "Give them a break, Saber. Not like they would know you were after anything."
Saber glared at me. "I almost had it!"
I hissed, tail twitching. "I don't care. Go find it again if it's so important to you. If I remember correctly, you've ruined quite a few of my hunts."
Jake whimpered. "Stop it!" He barked.
I turned towards him irritably. "Hush. I'm defending you, which is something I don't do often." He hushed and sat down, whimpering slightly. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Saber. "Now, be a dear and leave the poor things alone."
