Eli Black :

Poor, dear Eli? Eli's teeth clenched together, and she glared at Lakisha's back. She didn't mean it that way. Eli thought to herself, trying to calm down. Lakisha probably just said that regarding to how red Eli's eyes were from crying earlier. She dropped her hand, expecting to feel Sabe's fur, but blanched when she remembered he wasn't there. Her strength almost dwindled. She swallowed hard, and looked at everyone. These people were her strength now, and probably would be for a while. She would have to get used to it.

"Alright." Eli nodded her head, forcing a smile to the group, despite the war that was going on within her mind. "I like the plan, how about you guys?" She asked pointedly to Kalayan and Stella, who had had yet to answer.

Stella shrugged indifferently, biting her lip. "I'm for it." She smiled crookedly, Eli smiling brightly.

Now, all three girls where staring heatedly at Kalayan, waiting for his answer.

LAKISHA

I smirked. "You're in or I'll start a real physical fight with you. Your choice sweety." I smiled inoccently at him as he glared at me. This was going to be an interesting break-out.

"Sweety?" he grumbled at me.

I frowned, then smiled again. "That wasn't the question. You in or am I going to have to force it on you?" I removed Claw from my shoulders, placing him on a chair by my side and took a menicing step towards Kalayn. "Which will it be hon?"

He frowned at me. "Fine, I'm in. But I getta be the one who's winning."

I shook my head quickly. "Bad idea. You wouldn't appreciate a viper bite would you now?" He shook his head. "Well, Claw is a very protective little beast. If it looks like I'm not winning he will step in. It's happened once before and the man didn't live to tell of it." I shuddered, but forced the horrible memory out of my mind.

"Fine," he grumbled.

I beamed. "Good! Stations soldiers!" Stella found a few weapons, Eli readied herself by the door and I let out a battle cry, lunging at Kalyan. "You little worm!" I shrieked, creating illusionous sounds of punching. "I won't be able to keep these things up much longer, pick up the pace," I hissed into his ear. He nodded.

Cain

I had done all I could. And so now I finally surrendered myself, psychologically, because physically they had defeated me long before. The metal creature seemed to sense the change and hmmed a bit more.

"Ah now, won't hurt, won't hurt, there we go."

I tried my best not to look into his face. His finger touched against my chest, and I breathed in sharply, horrified, as the metal began to run, onto my body, seeping into my veins. He was right. It didn't hurt. Not physically. But I felt something excruciating nonetheless.

He lifted his finger slowly, the metal dripping into a thin line, marking my chest with a welded silvery tattoo.

"Perfect. That didn't hurt, did it Cain."

"No, sir." The words came out of my mouth before I could help it. The metal face spread into a victorious grin. No, no, no. They didn't. I would kill them.

They unclasped me. I got up, swiftly, sturdily. I wanted to punch them, hurt them, wipe them from existence. My arm shot out. In a salute. My mouth formed words. "Ready, sir."

"Ah, good, good, good. We're ready to fix your friends, hmm?"

"Yes sir."

"You want to help them be better, yes?"

"Yes, sir."

"Ahh. Perfect. But we can't let them know you're better right? Because they won't believe you. They'll try to make you bad again. Right?"

"Yes, sir."

"Ahh. Good. Very, very good, Cain. Very good."

I think all he has to do is have a fake fight with Lakisha and then help haul out Cain.

Kalayan

I punched Lakisha- I tried not to make it hurt but she grunted a bit. Oops. "You little bitch," I muttered. Lakisha glared at me and made the punching sounds harder.

"Shut up!" she yelled.

As we fought, I watched Eli sneak towards the door. The plan was working.

Kayalan and Lakisha were already fighting, Eli was ready at the door, I was standing dangerously close to the chair. This plan was almost in action. After what seemed like ages the door burst open and two guards barged in. "What is going on in here!?" demanded the taller one. Eli was already gone.

The other guard noticed and started to mention it, to bad I swung at him with the chair before he got the chance. Next was the taller one, he was bigger, this would be tougher. First I hit him in the stomach, he keeled over. That knocked some height off him. I had a clear shot at his head and I swung. Down he went, god I hoped both of them were still breathing. Not like there was anytime to check Lakisha was yelling for us all to get out of there. Now we just had to find Cain.

"Nicely done! Let's move!" I hollered, supressing a smirk. So not a good time to start smiling. I rubbed where Kalayn had punched me. The little twit didn't understand the prospect of a fake fight did he? Oh well, all that mattered now was getting Cain back.

I barged into the room, looking around it in sheer amazement. What the heck was all this stuff? Didn't matter... We could figure that out later.

Eli was already lugging a conscious, dazed Cain out of the room. I ran over and put his arm around my shoulder. I said nothing, they said nothing. Sweet, sweet silence. Claw sprawled himself across Cain's shoulder, but the boy seemed indifferent. What had they done to him?

"Scout ahead soldiers!" I ordered, mimicing the guards. Of course they didn't call eachother soldiers, but meh. Close enough. "First thing's first...where to bring him?" I bit my lip. Any of our rooms would work, but were they safe? Cain still hadn't said anything, was he okay? "Cain?" I whipered, praying that he would reply and still sound like himself.

Cain

God, they had done it. They had actually managed to burst us out. I was willing to let down whatever pretense of pride I had left and actually thank them, but my mouth was still. Lakisha under my arm. A hot girl under my arm. Yet I still couldn't speak. I was completely under their control.

"Cain?" Lakisha's voice was a whisper. I actually kind of felt bad for making her worry. If only I could speak my mind.

My mouth moved mechanically. "Yes, I am quite alright." I sounded like one of the white-coats. I felt Lakisha wince underneath me. Eli and Stella turned around and gave each other a frozen look. "What'd they do to you, Cain?"

"Nothing. I am quite fine. Thank you."

Lakisha slowly removed my hand from around her neck. "Cain. That's not you."

"I do not know what you mean." I sounded worse than a Shakespeare scholar.

Kalayan drew Lakisha to his side. His voice was low, but I could still make out the words. "I don't think he's safe, guys. It's probably not a good idea to keep him in our rooms."

Lakisha bit her lower lip. "Well, then what can we do with him?"

Eli Black :

Eli scratched the back of her neck, trying to think. "He could sleep in my room." She offered, starting to say something, but not before Kalayan interupted.

"But it's not safe!" He protested, eyes wide, and Eli sighed softly.

"You didn't let me finish," she sighed simply, Kalayan's mouth forming a big 'o'. "Cain could sleep in my room, and I'll sleep in the room connected to it, in case something happens to him. I'll lock the door, and keep Sabe by me at all times. I'll be fine. You guys on the other hand, other than Lakisha, who's got Claw, don't really have another 'person'," she formed quotations in the air, "-in the room with you if he rooms with you."

"Will you be alright?" Stella asked, Eli knowing that they were all contemplating her idea.

"I'll be fine, I swear. Sabe and Crim with both be with me, Kalayan's across the hall, Stella's you're next to me, and Lakisha, you're right next to Kalayan, so if anything does go wrong, I'm sure I can scream loud enough to alert you guys." Eli took a deep breath, shaking her hair out. "So? Is that okay, or not?" She asked softly, looking up at all of them.

I bit down on my lip. What had they done to him? "I guess so..." I wasn't really all for the idea, but whatever.

I stole a glance in Cain's direction. His face was gaunt and his eyes seemed to be elsewhere, retreating into himself. He seemed a ghost of himself, it creeped out even me. Not even a cold, scaly snake making its way down his back seemed to gather his attention.

"Claw, do you mind?" I muttered. Kalayn looked ammused when the snake picked up its head and slithered back to me. "What? A snake can't be loyal too?" I smirked.

Kalayn shook his head in disbelief. Or perhaps disgust, a mystery that would remain unsolved for now.

At first, I wasn't sure Eli's idea was the best, but then again what other ideas did we have so far? "You do have a point, you are well protected. Besides, Cain seems to out of it right now to cause much harm." I agreed. Jeeze, what happened to him?

Kayalan sighed and finally gave in, "Okay, it's a good idea. Cain will stay in Eli's room. But if anything happens so help me god..." He didn't even need to finish. We all knew it would end badly.

"So what now?" I asked, "Do we all just go to sleep?" Somehow, I didn't think that was possible.

"So what now?" Stella asked, "Do we all just go to sleep?"

That didn't seem like it would happen, but I said, "We should. Try to keep our strength up, I mean, and that's the best way." Everyone looked a little tired, but not tired enough to rest.

We headed back to the 'dormitories' and I went into mine. I closed my eyes, but only halfway. I was listening for Eli.
