I followed Eli and Sabe towards the food. It smelled really good.... it probably tasted really good...

"Sabe doesn't smell anything strange. I don't think there'll be any poison," Eli said.

"That's good enough for me," I said, and got some food. I had never been a heavy eater but I was really hungry- but not enough that I embarrased myself. Nah, I'd probably never be that hungry.

"Woah there!" I exclaimed catching the black haired girl before she fell to the ground.

Suddenly a guard was in front of the group. He bellowed "Everyone please make their way down the hall to the commonroom."

I tried waking the girl up, she stirred and opened her eyes for a few seconds. She definitely still here, barely.

"Need some help?" I heard. I looked up and Romeo was standing there.

"Yes actually, just help me get her down the hall, maybe get her some water." I said.

He sighed, "Personally, I would leave here there, but okay."

Together we held her up and walked her to the commonroom. We set her down on the couch and Romeo went off to find some water. I shook her again, this time she awoke. "W-what's going on?" she asked groggily.

Just then Romeo came back with a glass of water and a plate of finger foods. "I thought food my do us all some good, so I grabbed some quick. It's diappearing fast, people are eating and crashing." I looked around and noticed he was right.

I handed the glass to the girl, "Drink." I ordered. She obeyed.

She drank the entire glass and seeming more alert, repeated, "What's going on?"

Elizabeth Black:

Eli tossed Sabe a huge piece of cooked meat, too big for any one human, that had been laying with the other food, and put some berries on a small plate, setting them on the ground for Crim. She finally got herself a plate of food, ignoring the meat on the table and grabbing only the fruits and vegatables, sitting down next to Kalayan.

Crim tweeted angrily when Eli got to close to her plate, and hopped to the other side, Eli pushing the plate further away so Crim would shush.

"Anything taste funny?" She smiled softly at Kalayan before biting into a crisp, red apple.

I grinned. "Nope. Tastes normal. Guess they need us alive," I added, and said lightly, "Good thing too, we seriously need that kind of moral support." Eli laughed.

"So, any ideas on why we're here?" she asked, surveying the room.

"I don't know," I said thoughtfully. "I mean... we all have powers... that's got to account for something, right?" A spark of fire appeared on one of my fingers and I showed it to her before quickly making it disappear.

Hmm, I'll join :3 I tend to reuse my storybook characters a lot, so if you're in Magekillers with me you'll probably recognize Adam.

Name: Adam

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Personality: Adam is very demanding, and easily irritated with others and their decisions. He likes to be in charge, and often considers those his own age or younger incompetent and useless. He comes off as very friendly and likable, but in reality he's quite the misanthrope and dislikes almost everybody.

Ability: Psychokinesis

Appearance: A dancer all his life, Adam is very slim and agile, able to leap very high and move very quickly. His blonde hair sweeps over his dull, brown eyes, a mess of locks he runs his fingers through habitually. Freckles are sprinkled across his nose, and are usually shaded by his long, dark eyelashes.

Looking for Love: Sure.

"Well obviously," Eli smiled, rolling her eyes before conjuring a small ball of swirling water on her finger tips before closing her hand and letting the water drizzle onto the ground. "Maybe they're just going to study us, and our powers. I mean, if they're feeding us food this lavish, maybe they want to let us know they mean no harm."

"Maybe, or lead us into a trap." Kalayan smirked, Eli shrugging before biting into her apple another time.

"Maybe," she sighed after swallowing, looking around the room.

I watched as teenagers began to devour the food on the table. I waited a few minutes and when nobody started choking or falling asleep, I went to get myself a plate.

I looked around and noticed everyone was beginning to pair off into groups. Suddenly, I felt so lonely. I'd never been immensely popular in school, the other children found me strange, I knew that. I guess as the girl who sits at the back of class talking to her self because I'm playing imaginary games in my head was never going to have tons of friends - but I was never completely friendless, like now.

I knew I had to talk to somebody soon, or else I'd start to cry again. I missed my parents so much. Of course I was angry with them for letting me go, but I still missed them.

I looked around and my eyes stopped on a girl leaning over another girl on a couch. I think I'd heard her say her name was Stella. I wandered over to her, hoping that she might speak to me first.

"Maybe."

We fell into a contented silence. I yawned and for the first time surveyed, actually looked at the room.

This common room had doors that had names on them. Probably leading to the rooms you slept in. Under the names were symbols of the powers. The place wasn't that bad, but it creeped me out. And why the secrecy? And why had our families been so willing to give us away? I sighed.

LAKISHA

I sighed and made my way back to the table, picking my way around it. There wasn't much left. The others had practically devoured the whole thing. I grabbed a steak of unkown origin and a few pieces of fruit, throwing them onto my plate.

Claw had disapeared from around my shoulders. I scanned the room frantically. There was so much here for him to get into... I saw him slithering around near Kalayan. I snickered, deciding to go get him before the boy spazzed out.

I walked over to them casually and picked him up, slinging him around my shoulders. Kalayan stared at the snake. "Keep that thing away from me Lakisha!" He hissed.

I straightened and saluted before walking away without saying so much as a sorry. I gathered up the courage to go ask one of the guards if they had any food for Claw. "Excuse me," I asked, loudly enough to make myself seem unafraid.

"What do you want? You have food and water already," he hissed.

How delightful. "In case you didn't realize, Claw is a snake. A viper. He eats only live prey and I wanted to know if you had any." His eyes widened at me in horror. Really? Wow these guys were morons. "He won't eat a person! I need mice or rats or something."

The man shook his head. "I'll get somebody to bring him some later," he muttered coldly.

As if. I crossed my arms and looked around the room. I had no clue what to do, so I strolled over to an empty couch and layed down in it, chewing at my food absently.

STELLA

I explained to the black haired girl as best I could what was going on, she took it well.

"I suppose we are going to be here for a while," she said, "My names is Emma, yours is Stella right?"

"Yeah I'm Stella, and the guy that was here helping a while ago is Romeo." I replied.

"Thankyou so much for helping me! Most people probably would have just left me there." said Emma.

"Oh believe me, I know they would have." I said and chuckled to myself remembering what Romeo had said.

Emma stood up and said, "Thanks again but I am extremely tired. I am going to go find a bed somewhere. I'll see you later."

A bed sounded really good right now, but no I needed food. "Yeah, I need food anyways, talk to you later." She waved and we went seperate ways.

I started to make my way over to the least crowded table to grab some food when I almost bumped right into Astri. She was small and looked really young, how old was she anyways? "Hey Astri right? I'm Stella, want to get some food with me?" I asked.

She replied, "Yes I'm Astri. Um, okay, the food looks good."

Her voice was sort of high pitched and girly, maybe she was really young. Without even thinking I burst out, "How old are you anyways?"

"I'm sixteen. I know, I look a lot younger. How old are you?" I asked Stella. I couldn't believe she'd talked to me! It's like, I think it, and it happens!

"I'm sixteen too! Yeah, you do like kinda young... sorry! Hope I didn't offend you!"

"No, not at all. I'm used to it," I smiled. We went to the table of food and piled our plates with that was left.

"So, are you missing your parents yet?" I asked between mouthfuls.

"Not really, not yet. You?"

"Umm..." I wasn't sure whether to admit I missed them more than anything. Why did I bring this up? I wish she'd change the subject!

"Hey, random thought, but I like your dress."

"Thanks!" I said, but inside I was thinking, 'Okay, this is getting really wierd.'

Adam

I felt a large, rough hand clutch the small of my back and shove me forward. Tumbling into a hard wooden door, my cheek stung as it was bashed against it; my head throbbed and ached. I managed to open the door and step into what seemed to be a simple lunch room, with several tables scattered about. A buffet of food sat in the corner, and the smell wafted over to me, circling my nose tantalizingly. I hadn't eat in two days -- instead, I had been cowering in the corner of a large truck, forgotten about and abandoned. Eventually they remembered me; they said I was the first one they picked up, but randomly they decided on a new truck, parking the one I was in, locking it securely. I was too frightened to even attempt to escape.

"Go," the gruff voice said behind me, and as quickly as it had come, it had vanished. I cleared my throat and smoothed down my shirt instinctively when I witnessed the other children sitting at the tables. They all glanced at me curiously. I didn't want to interact with them, I didn't want to try and get to know them and talk and make friends. Casually I strolled over to the food, grabbing a plate with my filthy, pale fingers, and spooning some pasta onto the plastic.

A girl approached me. Great. "Hello," she greeted amiably. I smiled back, giving him a lively, friendly hello. It wasn't good to be disliked. She introduced herself as Stella, and shocked me by asking me "what my power was." It was so blunt and straightforward that I backed away without thinking. What my "power" was? As children, of course, I could expect no less of their vocabulary. I felt like I was a part of an animated television show. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, though," she assured me.

Suddenly, to her, of course, a large piece of broccoli floated onto my plate, softly landing atop my mound of spaghetti. She watched carefully, and my smile had reverted into a dull, observant expression. She seemed a bit surprised; I was too when I managed to strike my eye with a large, colorful block sixteen years ago. Too lazy to crawl over and retrieve it, I wished that the blocked would just come over to me itself.

And it did; it hurt. I figured that I might as well put the rest of the food on my plate by levitating it, as my hands were dirty anyway. The girl, Stella, was trying not to look on in awe, but I honestly couldn't blame her. Clearing her throat, her eyes steadily kept on a floating piece of cheesecake, she asked my name. "Adam," I grinned, my face lighting up again. "Where are you sitting?"

Elizabeth Black:

Sabe purred loudly, rolling around on the ground in contentment as his belly bulged with his meal. Eli smiled and absent mindedly scratched the big cats chin, gazing around the room to watch everyone converse, some talking about their family, and friends. Eli's heart ached at the thought of both. She'd never had either, other than her animals, which certainly served as both, but not entirely. She felt her eyes brim with tears, and blinked a couple times, covering up the tears easily. A viper slithered its way over to her and Kalayan, who instantly stiffened.

Lakisha came over, said a couple angry words, and walked off with the snake wrapped around her arm. "Scared of snakes, are we?" Eli laughed humorously.

"Yeah," I muttered. "They're revolting." There were other reasons I didn't like snakes, of course, but Eli probably didn't care about that... no one usually did.

I did a quick scan over the room a guy had just entered and looked a little lost. "Hang on Astri, I'll be right back." I said.

I made my way over to where the guy was standing. "Hello." I said.

He looked up, "Hey!" he said almost too cheerfully.

"What's your power?" I asked bluntly. Well, if that isn't a great conversation starter I don't know what is, Jeeze, what is wrong with me today? I just speak whatever comes to mind. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to though." I quickly added trying to make up for my bluntness.

He just smiled. Suddenly a large peice of broccoli floated up and landed on his plate. Next a floating peice of cheesecake. "So, you, that, your power, you." I babbled poiting at the still floating cheesecake. "What's your name?" I asked.

"Adam," he answered. "where are you sitting?"

I pointed toward the couch where Astri and I were sitting and said, "Um, over there, with Astri. She is sixteen, don't say anything about her age or her parents. Please, just don't."

He chuckled "Alright, fair enough."

We made our way over to the couch and I said to Astri, "So, this is Adam." Then I looked at Adam and said, "and this is Astri." With that I sat down and resumed eating.
