Ester Alice:

I watched as Corbin spread his wings and dived off the edge with the rest of the winged ones. Funny, I should've said something. I hate sitting down and doing nothing while others are out there and could get into terrible danger.

Dust crumbled from the top of the rocks hitting my wounded shoulder. I cursed silently, placing my hand over the bleeding body part. I stood up dragging my hands across the dirt to stable myself.

I stumbled towards the left; my foot caught on a rock and tumbled towards the ground. A small looking spider jumped back as I landed on its prey. Rolling away, I stared up into the clouds my eyes drooping into a rather sleepy state.

I had heard their plan. Blaise and Kaylee's. Who wouldn't? They were practically yelling it. Disguise ourselves as humans. I scoffed, how were any of us to do that? I looked at my wing; the white feathers were fluffed and covered with dirt. My wings had a thirteen foot span; there was no way in hell disguising those things!

Michael and Blake, they both were trying to cover themselves from the cold. I sat down in front of them and grinned cheekily. They looked up at with confusion, guess I looked pretty baffled.
I spy!

Apple, Blake isn't by me soooo . .. . Anyway.
Michel
Ester landed in front of me. Hey I said. My vision was starting to get blurry from the loss of blood. I wished I could have gone back to the caves to get supplies, but I knew I would have just been in the way. Goose bumps covered my arms and legs. I just kept myself from shivering. Where was I. Michel the one who was always goofing off, showing off. I didn’t feel like myself. I felt like I was Blake. I sighed wishing my wings could cover me. They were so big yet useless now. Every time I breathed a jolt of pain rain across my stomach and back.

Blake

I went over to by Ester and Michel. "Hey," I said, sitting down.

Plan Miracle, I thought. There was no way it was going to work. Who was going to be the scout? Almost everyone's wings were huge; even at night they would be hard to hide. Mine were the smallest by far, and I could probably stuff them down a sweatshirt or something, but barely, and I was the only one, and it's not like I could fly to land; I'd never make it.

Maybe my small wings were part of why flying came so hard to me. I wish it didn't. My wings were the things that made them abandon me, and I can't even lose it all, zooming through the air. And now because of my leg, I couldn't even lose myself in training, fighting. Sometimes life just wasn't fair.

Part of me wanted to cry, but I couldn't. I didn't cry. No matter how much pain I was facing, I didn't cry. Plain and simple.

I looked up, and Michel was looking at me again. When our eyes met, he gave me a weak smile. Somehow, that made me feel a little better. Somehow.

Michel and Ester had fallen into silence. Blake walked over and sat next to Ester. She seemed lost in her thoughts so Michel didn’t say anything. After a few minutes she glanced up and caught him staring. He gave her a small smile trying not to let it turn into a grimace. She didn’t say anything.

Everyone looked as they got back. Bags full of supplies. Michel quickly got up wanting to get back in the action. Ester and Blake followed his example, and they all walked over together. There was everything they needed to make new shelters except the sticks they used as frames.

The palm leaves would be no use without them. After being forced to sit while Ester slathered a paste over his wounds he said.

“We are going to need frames for new shelters. Who wants to go with me?”

Blaise

I wanted to volunteer to go with Michel, but I didn't. I pulled out the picture of my younger sister.

"I remember when she was taken away," Kaylee whispered. "We don't know if she's dead. Maybe we can find her."

"Alive? With those wolves?" I said, scoffing, trying not to sound sad. "Like that... could happen...."

Corbin~

After I had made sure that Kaylee had taken her share of the medicine, I started passing it around to others. Ester took some and started putting it on Michael's cuts. I glared at him with envy.

"Some one's green," mumbled Blake beside me. I looked at her like I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Am not," I argued back, "I couldn't care less."

She gave me that I-don't-believe-a-word-you-say look, "Sure, whatever," She said before walking away. Looking back at Ester, I remembered the time that we had fought the wolf together. We had been a good team, or so I thought. I sighed and shook my head, It would never work out I tried to convince myself.

Ester had finished with Michael's wound and I walked over to her. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out a necklace. "I found this by your stuff," I said handing it to her. I had seen her wearing it before and I knew it meant alot to her.

She smiled and picked it up, "Oh thank you." she whispered. I smiled weakly but the picture of her and Michael was in the back of my head. "Could you help me with this?" she asked, giving me the necklace. I nodded and walked behind her.

While I fastened the necklace I noticed the scratches on her shoulder. It was filled with dirt, I hoped it wasn't infected. "Oh, your cut looks really bad," I told her, "You should probably get some medicine on it."

"Ok," she said pressing some medicine into my hand. She brushed her hair away from her shoulder and I started rubbing in the medicine.

Michel and a few others flew down to the nearest trees. They each began sizing up their own pieces and cutting them off. Once they each had a big bundle they started back, but definitely slower than before. There would only be enough sticks for a makeshift shelter not one that would last longer than one night, but it was getting dark and everyone was completely exhausted.

I really wanted to do something, to go get some sticks with Michel, but if the wolves showed up, I would only slow him down. I felt so useless.

While Ester was putting medicine on Michel, I saw Corbin looking at him with a look that was almost... jealous. I smirked. Then I got up, and went by him.

"Someone's green," I mumbled to him.

"Am not," he said. "I couldn't care less."

I rolled my eyes. "Sure, whatever." I walked away.

I saw Blaise with Kaylee, and felt a little envious myself. It must be nice to have someone who actually cares about you, I thought.

I shook the thought from my head. Now was not the time to feel sorry for myself. I would find something useful to do. Sure, fighting was really all I was good at, and now that's impossible, but I would just have to look at the bright side.

I could walk. That was something.

Walking, I went around and to see if anybody needed help with something. With so many injured, probably.

~Ellie May~

It wasn't long before i realized that I wasn't the only one on this island, though I was certainly one of the newest. I'd arrived here less than an hour ago, but I'd stayed hidden, for fear that the others would be cruel. I looked around from where i was hidden, then looked up at the sky. I was scared that i wouldn't fit in, but upon seeing one of the others fly above me, I realized, I'm not so different.

As we flew I slowly fell behind. I had the more wounds than any of the others. I saw something below me. A Wolf?! No, it was a girl. She must have just have been dropped off by the humans. I dived down.
“Hello” I said tentatively.

Blaise

I could hear Michel saying "Hello" and I flew down. He was speaknig with another girl. Newly dropped off, I guessed.

"Who're you?" I asked.

"Ellie," she whispered nervously.

"Don't worry," I said softly. "You're among friends>"

Ester Alice:

The wind under my wings preened through my feathers ruffling the bottoms. I twirled spreading my fingers apart, feeling the wind underneath me. My wings pushed back in the gusts of wind, the top most feather meeting as they were pushed together. I strained my ears, I could hear mumbling voices below me.

My fingers reached down for my necklace. I smiled at it. It felt better to have it around my neck and not where the wolves can harm it. If it hadn’t been for Corbin, I don’t know what I would do without it?

Pitching my wings downwards I began to drop. I could feel the beating of air, as my wings pumped around me. I loved flying. It was what often calmed me. I zoomed past Corbin poking my tongue out as he looked up, his hair dancing in the gust I had made. I pulled my wings up slightly pausing momentarily. I never realised how cute Corbin was. His blood red hair fell into his sea blue eyes swathing his creamy pale skin in an almost romantic way.

He raised one of his eye brows. Oh, crap! I was staring. Grinning quickly at him I flapped my wings placing some distance between us, my cheeks burning a bright red. Ducking under a thick branch my wings nipped the wet leaves. Black wings came into view; a drenched girl stared out from a sheen of black hair. Her teeth were chattering from the cold.

“Don’t worry,” Blaise said comfortingly. “You’re among friends.” I blinked at her, she looked some how familiar. I shrugged, “Ellie.” I muttered her name to myself. She looked up instantly her eyes widening with confusion. My cheeks instantly went redder. I laughed nervously stumbling slightly in the air. I wasn't supposed to say that allowed!
I spy!
